Chapter 689: Catch Them Off Guard

During this long march, the sound of light footsteps and breathing intertwined, like a low and tense battle prelude, foreshadowing the upcoming fierce confrontation. But the soldiers were not afraid. They had only one goal in mind, which was to complete the mission and move forward bravely for victory. Xiao Yi walked at the front of the team, constantly thinking about the upcoming battle.

His brow furrowed slightly, his eyes focused and deep, his thoughts surging like a surging river. He replayed every possible scenario in his mind, pondering strategies for coping.

"What is the enemy's troop distribution like?" he wondered to himself. "If we encounter strong resistance, how can we break through quickly?" Every question lingered in his mind, prompting him to think about every detail more carefully.

Xiao Yi recalled the intelligence he had gathered earlier, trying to find key information that might have been overlooked. "The location of that secret sentry is crucial and must be resolved immediately," he thought silently. "Also, will the support from the rear arrive in time?"

His heartbeat was steady and strong, but he couldn't hide the nervousness within him. This wasn't just a battle; it was a crucial operation that depended on the lives of countless comrades and the success of the mission. "I must ensure the safety of my brothers and complete the mission." This thought was as firm as iron in his heart.

Xiao Yi took a deep breath and calmed himself down. He knew that any negligence at this moment could lead to irreversible consequences. He must keep a clear head, make the most sensible decision, and lead everyone to victory.

When the dawn just broke, Xiao Yi gave an order and the attack officially began.

The faint light of dawn, like a soft veil, just sprinkled on the earth. Xiao Yi stood at the front of the team, his figure appearing resolute and upright in the hazy light. He clenched his fists, his eyes like lightning, staring intently at the target base ahead.

"Charge!" Xiao Yi's voice broke the silence of dawn, exploding in the soldiers' ears like thunder. This order, full of determination and courage, instantly ignited the fire of war in the soldiers' hearts.

Like tigers released from their cages, the soldiers rushed towards the target base, their footsteps shaking the ground and their cries of killing piercing the sky.

Xiao Yi led the charge, charging to the front. The weapon in his hand gleamed coldly in the dawn light, and his steps were firm and powerful, each one carrying the momentum of a desperate struggle.

The soldiers behind followed closely, their eyes filled with a desire to fight and a firm belief in victory. The wind whistled in their ears, as if cheering them on.

Suddenly, the sounds of gunfire and shouting mingled, shattering the morning tranquility. War erupted instantly across the land, the figures of soldiers looming in the smoke as they launched a fierce charge against the enemy lines, showing no sign of retreat.

They rushed into the enemy base like a black torrent.

The torrent surged forward with the force of a tidal wave, the warriors closely arrayed, their steps in unison and swift. Their figures loomed in the morning light, like messengers of revenge emerging from the darkness.

The black combat uniforms contrasted with the twilight of dawn, creating a chilling scene. Each person's face was filled with determination and resolve, their eyes blazing with anger and fighting spirit.

Their footsteps rumbled like thunder, shaking the earth slightly. Their speed was so fast that one could barely discern their figures, only feeling a powerful force pushing them forward.

Armed with weapons, the vanguard stormed through the base's first line of defense with lightning speed. The following soldiers followed in a steady stream, pouring in like a tide. They coordinated with each other in perfect harmony, without the slightest hesitation or pause.

In the face of this torrent, the enemy's defenses seemed so fragile. Wherever the soldiers went, the enemy panicked and fled in all directions. But they were relentless and pursued them relentlessly, not letting any enemy go.

This black torrent was unstoppable, raging through the enemy base with devastating force. Their cries resounded through the heavens, as if proclaiming their fearlessness and might to the world. The enemy, stunned by this sudden attack, fell into chaos before they could organize an effective resistance.

The originally quiet enemy base was instantly broken, the alarm sounded shrilly, but the enemy seemed to be under a spell, spinning around in panic.

Some enemies had just woken up from their sleep, with sleepy eyes. Before they could figure out the situation, they were frightened by the soldiers rushing in, their faces turned pale, and they grabbed their weapons in panic, not knowing where to point them.

A group of enemies rushed towards the weapons depot, pushing and shoving each other, and the crowd was so tight that some even fell in the chaos and were ruthlessly trampled by their companions. Their shouts were disorganized and they could not communicate and coordinate effectively with each other.

The commander yelled at the top of his lungs, trying to organize a defense line, but his orders seemed so pale and powerless in this noise and panic. Soldiers ran around like headless flies, some fired blindly, bullets shooting randomly into the air, and others squatted in the corner with their heads in their hands, trembling with fear.

The soldier in charge of communications was operating the equipment in a panic, trying to request support, but he made frequent mistakes due to excessive tension.

The entire base was in ruins, filled with smoke. Under this sudden and fierce attack, the enemy completely lost their will to fight and fell into chaos. Xiao Yi led the charge, his weapon spurting with anger, and every attack hit the enemy's vital points accurately.
