Another soldier shook his head and retorted, "No, while the terrain is advantageous to the east, the enemy's defenses are definitely tighter. We can't confront them head-on. I suggest we make a detour from the west and catch them off guard."
"But the road to the west is rugged, which is not conducive to our rapid advancement." Someone else expressed a different opinion.
Everyone was arguing endlessly, with voices rising and falling, and everyone was excited, trying to get their suggestions adopted.
Xiao Yi listened quietly, nodding and pondering from time to time. His eyes swept over everyone, carefully considering the feasibility of each suggestion.
"Everyone, please be quiet for a moment." Xiao Yi finally spoke, and the room suddenly became quiet. "We must consider various factors comprehensively and not just see the local advantages."
He pointed at the map again and analyzed the pros and cons of each plan in detail. Everyone listened attentively.
"I think we can combine the terrain in the east and the surprise attack in the west and divide our troops into two routes..." Xiao Yi put forward his idea, which triggered a new round of discussion.
After several hours of heated debate, with various viewpoints constantly colliding and merging, a detailed battle plan gradually took shape.
"It's settled!" Xiao Yi's voice was firm and powerful, "Everyone, make preparations according to the plan. We will win this battle!" Everyone's eyes were full of confidence and determination, as if they had seen the dawn of victory.
According to the plan, Xiao Yi led a team of elite soldiers and set off quietly under the cover of night.
The night was as dark as ink, so thick that it seemed as if water could drip from it. Xiao Yi, dressed in black combat uniform, blended into the endless darkness. Behind him, a team of elite warriors stood in awe, their steps sounding as light as the rustling of leaves in the night wind.
Xiao Yi walked at the front of the team, his eyes sharp and alert, constantly scanning the surroundings. The moonlight occasionally shone through the gaps in the clouds, illuminating his stern profile, the tense lines revealing his inner tension and concentration.
The soldiers followed Xiao Yi closely, their steps neat and light, without a trace of unnecessary sound. Each of them carried heavy equipment, but their movements were not slow at all.
The road was bumpy and overgrown with weeds, and they carefully avoided branches and stones that might make noises. Xiao Yi raised his hand from time to time to signal the team to stop, listen carefully to the movements around them, and continue moving forward after confirming that it was safe.
The night breeze brought a slight chill, but it couldn't dispel the passion and enthusiasm in the soldiers' hearts. They knew the importance of this operation, and the mission they shouldered made them take every step firmly and decisively.
In the silent night, the team led by Xiao Yi was like a group of stealthy ghosts, marching towards their goal with determination, ready to deal a fatal blow to the enemy in the darkness.
They avoided possible spies and approached the target base quietly.
Xiao Yi led the team along a winding path. The grass on both sides of the path was extremely tall, almost reaching the soldiers' knees. They crouched down and carefully parted the grass, taking every step with extreme caution, for fear of alerting the enemy's spies hiding in the shadows.
The team advanced very slowly. Xiao Yi raised his hand from time to time to signal everyone to stop, while he concentrated on observing the movements around him. The moonlight was weak, barely illuminating a small section of the road ahead. They relied on their keen intuition, cultivated over many years, to sense potential dangers.
In the distance, the occasional chirping of night birds sounded particularly abrupt in the silent night, instantly tensing the soldiers' nerves. But they did not panic, remaining silent and continuing to grope forward.
There was a stretch of road that led to an open, flat area without any shelter. Xiao Yi directed the team, and they quickly crossed it one by one, their movements as agile as cheetahs. They lowered their bodies, minimizing their exposure, as if blending into the darkness.
As they approached the target base, they discovered an enemy patrol post. Xiao Yi signaled everyone to stop. He carefully observed the patrol's patterns, calculating the intervals between their shifts. When the time was right, he waved his hand, and the team, like ghosts, swiftly and silently bypassed the post and continued to approach the target.
Each soldier's breathing was controlled and steady, their heartbeats amplified in the tense atmosphere, but their eyes held no trace of fear, only unwavering determination and a desire for mission success. Thus, they silently approached the target base, waiting for the moment to launch the fatal attack.
Along the way, the soldiers remained highly vigilant. No one spoke, only the slight sounds of footsteps and breathing could be heard.
Each warrior was like a taut bowstring, their nerves intensely focused. Their sharp eyes scanned the surrounding vegetation, not missing a single suspicious movement. Their steps were light and nimble, carefully avoiding the creaking branches and fallen leaves.
The sound of breathing was suppressed, kept steady and light. In the silent night, the faint breath seemed to have become a cautious existence, afraid that it would accidentally break this tense silence.
Xiao Li, a member of the team, had beads of sweat on his forehead. He didn't dare raise his hand to wipe it, his eyes fixed on the front. Beside him, Lao Zhang gripped his weapon tightly, his knuckles turning slightly white from the force.
There was no verbal communication between them, yet there was a tacit understanding that needed no words. Every glance, every subtle gesture, conveyed a silent message and a firm belief.
Xiao Wang's heartbeat was clearly audible in his ears. He tried to regulate his breathing and stay calm. Behind him, Xiao Zhao's steps were steady and orderly, each step full of resolute courage.
