Chapter 785: Wilderness Construction 3

However, as people went about their lives as usual, an unexpected disaster struck without warning, instantly shattering the world's tranquility. It was a seemingly ordinary day when a strange light suddenly appeared in the sky. It began as a tiny speck, then rapidly expanded, raging across the heavens like a blazing flame. The light's color shifted unpredictably, sometimes a dreamy purple, sometimes a mysterious blue, leaving the eye spellbound. Then, unimaginable changes occurred on Earth. Many people, enveloped by this strange light, began to experience strange physical reactions. Some suddenly felt a powerful surge of strength within them, others discovered they could manipulate objects around them, and still others even gained the ability to teleport. On a city street, a thin young man discovered he could unleash blazing flames from his hands. He stared at his hands in a mixture of horror and excitement, bewildered. In a rural field, an elderly farmer was astonished to discover he could instantly revive withered crops. Disbelief was written all over his wrinkled face. At school, the students, previously in class, were thrown into chaos. Some students were able to levitate, others could see through walls, and the classroom was filled with screams and cheers. It was as if the entire earth was instantly swept into a fantastical vortex, and people's lives were forever changed. An era of supernatural powers, full of unknowns and challenges, had begun.

Xiao Yi walked along the campus path as usual, still reflecting on the lessons he had just learned. Just then, the strange light in the sky suddenly intensified, a beam shooting straight towards him. Instantly, Xiao Yi felt as if countless electric currents pierced his body, followed by a surge of fiery power from deep within. He collapsed to the ground in agony, his body trembling uncontrollably. As the intense sensation gradually subsided, Xiao Yi slowly stood up and tried to mobilize the unfamiliar power within him. He raised his hand, and there was a crackling sound. Strands of blue lightning danced at his fingertips. With another gentle wave, a blazing flame erupted from his palm, blazing fiercely. Xiao Yi's eyes widened, unable to believe he possessed both lightning and fire powers. Excitement filled his heart, as if a door had opened to a whole new world. He imagined himself capable of achieving things he had never dared to imagine with these powers, and his heart raced with excitement. However, amidst this excitement came a sense of unprecedented responsibility. He knows that possessing supernatural powers isn't just a blessing, but also a heavy responsibility. In a world transformed by supernatural powers, he must use these powers to protect those around him and maintain world peace and tranquility. He understands that his life will no longer be ordinary, and he must bravely face all the challenges that lie ahead.

In the aftermath of the disaster, social order crumbled like a fragile sandcastle beneath the surging tide. The city, once a bustling hub, was now utterly chaotic. Trash piled high on the streets, emitting a sickening stench. Vehicles lay scattered across the streets, some burned, leaving only blackened wreckage. Shop windows were smashed, their contents looted, leaving only bare shelves. The once bustling squares were now battlefields, with people fighting over a bite of food or a bottle of water, a complete loss of their former civility and friendliness. Children cried in the corners, their eyes filled with fear and helplessness. The power system had failed, plundering the city into darkness. No more bright lights illuminated the night, only the occasional bonfire flickering a faint glow in the darkness. Law and order were broken, and crime was rampant. Criminals took advantage of the situation to loot with impunity, and the streets were filled with shrill screams and angry cries. The police, who once maintained order, were now overwhelmed by the chaos. Schools, hospitals, and other public facilities were unable to function properly. Schools were closed, depriving children of their education; hospitals lacked medical care and medicine, leaving the injured and sick to suffer in agony. The entire city seemed shrouded in a shadow of doom. People struggled in despair, uncertain of the future or when the chaos would end. Amidst this chaos, some fled the city, seeking a glimmer of hope in the perilous forests.

Xiao Yi gazed upon the chaotic city before him and made a decision. He began to search every corner of the city, searching for those who, like him, longed to escape the chaos and find peace. He met the brave and resolute Li Ming, a former firefighter who had lost his teammates in the disaster, yet his eyes still burned with an unyielding fire; the clever and resourceful Lin Xiao, a teacher who longed to create a safe environment for children; and the strong and powerful Zhao Gang, a former athlete determined to protect everyone with his own strength. Xiao Yi shared his vision with them, and they all agreed, deciding to follow him into the forest. On the day of their departure, the sun was obscured by thick clouds, as if they too were concerned about their future. Xiao Yi, carrying a heavy backpack, walked at the front of the group, his gaze firm and determined. Li Ming, clutching a homemade spear, watched his surroundings with vigilance. Lin Xiao clutched a bag of seeds and books, their hope for rebuilding their lives. Zhao Gang, carrying a large bundle of tools, sweat drenched his forehead, but his steps remained steady. They followed a narrow path on the edge of the city, gradually moving away from the hustle and bustle. The road was bumpy and overgrown with weeds, and every step forward was filled with hardship. But Xiao Yi constantly encouraged them, assuring them that a peaceful place awaited them deep in the forest. They crossed a dry river and climbed a steep hillside. Along the way, the wind rustled the leaves, as if whispering of an unknown fate. But Xiao Yi and his companions did not retreat. They supported each other and moved forward resolutely into the depths of the forest.
