Chapter 15 Trash, does it even deserve to be called trash?
A hint of ruthlessness flashed in Lu Beiye's beautiful eyes.
Hearing the noise, Lu Beiye looked up at Lu Nange.
His lips trembled slightly, as if a thousand words were swirling on his tongue, but he swallowed them back down, unable to utter a single word.
The golden baseball bat dragged on the ground, making a chilling sound in the dim light.
The little one walked to Lu Nange's side, reached out his little hand, gently tugged at her finger, and leaned his head against Lu Nange.
Lu Nange noticed the little guy's unease, bent down to pick him up, and turned to leave.
Upon seeing this, the woman on the ground quickly stood up and anxiously chased after him for a couple of steps.
Lu Nange paused, took out a fruit knife and some wound medicine from her bag, and threw them on the ground.
"Survival of the fittest"
Never entrust your life to someone else!
In the darkness, Lu Beiye put away the golden baseball bat and wrapped his arms around Lu Nange's neck.
"Aaaaaaaahhhhhh..."
A piercing scream suddenly rang out; the man's dying cries echoed through the corridor, sending chills down one's spine.
"My name is Du Ning. Thank you!"
Lu Nange paused slightly, but still did not turn around.

The dim yellow light softly fell on the sofa, where Lu Nange and Lu Beiye sat facing each other, their light chestnut eyes looking exactly the same.
Lu Nange's fingertips curled slightly without her noticing. After a moment, she reached into her system inventory, took out a basket of washed strawberries, and handed it to Lu Beiye.
Looking at Lu Beiye's completely unsurprised eyes, she realized that the little brat really knew everything!
"Your sister didn't mean to lie to you!"
Lu Beiye had an expression that said, "Keep making this up, I'm listening!"
Lu Nange helplessly spread her hands: "Well, you have your own little secrets too."
Lu Beiye tilted his head: "I'm ten years old, and I've been reborn twice."
The first time, Mom and Dad, you and my brother are gone, and I'm starving to death.
The second time, the police called Aunt Xu, and she said, "I heard you were all dead, so I ran away."
I awakened my superpowers and wanted to go to Beijing to find my brother. I lived to be ten years old and died on the road not far from Beijing.
The third time, you're by my side!
Lu Nange looked at his wet, aggrieved eyes and reached out to hug him.
"I'm sorry, it's my fault for not finding you quickly enough!"
Lu Beiye nestled on Lu Nange's shoulder, his voice trembling with tears, "Yes, I forgive you!"

Inside the three small Western-style buildings of Jiusong Mountain and River.
A dozen or so men sat together.
A short, stout man with a slightly protruding belly was all smiles, and the fat on his face jiggled.
He hunched over slightly, his eyes gleaming with a fawning light, and spoke obsequiously to the fierce-looking, buzz-cut man in the middle.
"Brother Guang, it's Building Six's turn today. When are we going over?"
The burly, buzz-cut man was He Guang. His face held a fierce look as he silently stubbed out his cigarette on the windowsill.
Sparks flew up and then quickly went out.
He raised his eyelids slightly, his rough voice sounding like sandpaper scraping: "Old Shen, leave half the men to you and guard our base. I'll just take Chunzi and a few others."
Old Shen hurriedly stood up, leaned forward slightly, and said respectfully, "Yes, boss."
He Guang led Chunzi and the other four people to board the rubber boat nimbly.
Upon arriving at Building 6, the group skillfully climbed in through the window.
The hallway was filled with a damp, rotten smell.
He Guang walked at the front, the iron rod he was carrying intentionally or unintentionally sliding down the stair railing with a "clang, clang".
The sound of metal clashing echoed in the silent corridor, each sound like a heavy hammer blow striking the heart.
He Guang and his group searched from the fifth floor to the seventh floor. Seeing the scattered and pitifully few supplies on the ground, their anger suddenly flared up.
He glared fiercely at the men cowering on the ground, and rained down iron bars and fists, beating them even more fiercely and brutally.
"Useless trash. A rich neighborhood, you say? With so little, where's your shame?"
Several women, clutching their children in terror, huddled in a corner, trembling and barely daring to breathe.
Li Shu, a short, stout man with a slightly protruding belly, leered at Zhang Chen's wife on the seventh floor.
Zhang Chen watched as Li Shu reached out and touched his wife.
He shouted at the top of his lungs, "Big brother, I know! There's food on the sixteenth floor! Only the brother and sister live on the sixteenth floor!"
They've never left their house; there must be food inside!
Upon hearing this, He Guang stopped what he was doing, slowly turned around, and a faint, cold smile appeared on his face.
He held the iron rod and slowly patted Zhang Chen's face again and again: "You two siblings have food? Why don't you go and rob it, instead of trying to fool me?"
Zhang Chen waved his hand hurriedly, his voice trembling with tears: "It's true, brother! We really did try to steal it back then."
But they installed two large iron gates at the top of the stairs, so we couldn't get in at all!
He Guang, his face contorted with rage, suddenly raised his foot and kicked Zhang Chen in the side: "You brat, if you dare to lie to me, I'll throw you off the sixteenth floor!"
Zhang Chen kept saying he wouldn't dare, but with the force of the impact, he frantically bumped into Li Shu, who was standing in front of his wife.
Li Shu stumbled and almost fell, glaring at Zhang Chen while cursing under his breath.
He Guang stepped forward, grabbed Zhang Chen by the collar, lifted him up, and then shoved him towards the stairs like a sack of potatoes: "Lead the way!"

On the sixteenth floor, in the stairwell, the stainless steel door was kicked with a loud "bang".
"If you don't open the door, I'll tear it down!" He Guang shouted angrily.
Inside the door, Lu Nange bent down slightly and observed the movements outside through the peephole.
There was a stainless steel door in the middle, making the view a bit blurry, but I could vaguely see a huge crowd, and I roughly estimated that there were quite a few people.
She shook the stun gun in her hand and turned to look at Lu Beiye.
Lu Beiye gripped the golden baseball bat with both hands, his small face tense.
"There are quite a lot of people," Lu Nange said in a low voice.
Lu Beiye nodded: "I'm ready!"
Lu Nange quickly opened the first door, then exerted force to push the stainless steel door open.
The immense force caught the people who were pressed tightly against the door off guard, causing them to fall backward uncontrollably.
Those standing at the edge of the stairwell were even more unlucky, tumbling and falling down the stairs, accompanied by a series of terrified screams and the dull thud of heavy objects hitting the stairs.
Lu Beiye reacted quickly, taking advantage of the chaos to rush forward and close the door.
The two siblings exchanged a glance and smiled strangely.
After staggering a few steps in a disheveled state, He Guang finally managed to regain his footing, a hint of anger flashing across his face.
After seeing Lu Nange's face clearly, he smirked, let out a frivolous whistle, and his eyes were full of lewdness.
He brazenly looked Lu Nange up and down, as if the person in front of him was fish on his chopping board, at his mercy.
Just as He Guang was about to say something frivolous and lewd, a small figure darted out from the side.
The golden baseball bat, accompanied by a whooshing sound, slammed down on He Guang's head.
Lu Beiye struck again and again, his blows extremely vicious, cursing inwardly, "Trash, you dare to even look at my sister! I'll smash your eyes out!"
The two siblings were engrossed in their game upstairs, completely oblivious to the excited shouts coming from downstairs.
