Chapter 67 Parting Ways

When Li Xin'er looked at Li Yiyuan again, she exuded an aura of indifference that kept people at a distance.

"Did you hear that?"

Li Yiyuan was in a daze and didn't answer her question immediately.

His mind kept replaying that person's words: Xinxin went where she was supposed to go, where she was supposed to go, but where was the place she truly belonged...

Did she go back to her biological parents?

Is she doing well now?

Li Xin'er heard a sound under her feet and decided not to wait any longer.

Li Yiyuan suddenly looked up again, his movements somewhat stiff. He pursed his lips and, unwilling to give up, asked Li Xin'er.

"Who...who was that person just now?"

Li Xin'er raised an eyebrow, showing some interest, and said mockingly, word by word:

"Heaven, the Way, is what you call God."

These words were like a knife that severed Li Yiyuan's last shred of hope, like a rain of arrows piercing his heart, causing him excruciating pain.

He clutched his aching heart, his back curling up like a shrimp.

So it was a god...

God said she went where she was meant to go.

What should we do? He suddenly doesn't want to believe in God anymore.

The starry sky was dazzling, and the full moon, now silvery white, still hung high, continuing to cast its gentle light, covering the streets with a veil of white, creating a hazy and mysterious atmosphere.

From a distance, only two black figures could be seen on the empty street.

One was Li Xin'er, standing tall and looking down at him, while the other was Li Yiyuan, kneeling on the ground, having exhausted all his strength.

Li Xin'er muttered to herself,

"He knows where she went, but he won't say. Did He deliberately take Li Xin'er away and bring me here so that He could be born?"

Although it was spoken very softly, Li Yiyuan still heard it clearly.

He recalled the words of the Heavenly Dao, his hands clenching tighter and tighter, veins bulging on his forehead.

She went where she was meant to go... and you were able to come because you were meant to... everything is predestined, and there is an answer in the unseen world.

Destined? Yes, destined for what? Destined for Xinxin to make way for the female ghost?

But why should I?

Li Xin'er saw his reaction, her eyes filled with a triumphant amusement. As she turned away, she casually tossed out a sentence.

"He cannot awaken until the end of the world."

Upon hearing this, Li Yiyuan stiffened slightly, and a hint of coldness seeped into his brown eyes hidden by his wispy hair.

Li Xin'er was in a great mood. With her hands in her pockets, she whistled and walked away unhurriedly.

Don't disappoint her this time.

The whistling echoed through the silent, dark streets, carrying a faint echo, ethereal and eerie.

Li Yiyuan belatedly looked up and stared blankly at her back.

She walked towards the moonlight, without a trace of red, yet he seemed to see crimson beneath her feet, and red flowers blooming around her, as brilliant and vivid as blood, carpeting the road to hell.

Every step, every tune, seemed like a harbinger of death, a call from hell.

Li Yiyuan only looked away in a daze after Li Xin'er's figure had completely disappeared at the end of the street.

He looked up at the sky, straining his eyes as if trying to see through the clouds to see what was called Him.

After a moment, he gave up. He struggled to his feet, muttering to himself,

"If you don't open your eyes, you're useless."

After Li Xin'er leisurely left, she casually found a clean house and entered her spatial dimension.

The human body can't withstand much strain; when tired, it just wants to rest. She had to put in a lot of effort just now.

Inside the space, Ersha was still the first to rush up to greet her.

certainly···

Besides Ersha, there's no one else in the space who can come to pick her up.

The other poultry were all kept in captivity by her, and they didn't receive the same good treatment as Ersha.

The crops she planted last night have already grown into a lush green field and are thriving. It looks like she'll have a bumper harvest in just a few days.

Li Xin'er went to the broken tower again. The first floor was unchanged, but the second-floor shopping mall had more of the kinds of goods she had brought in today.

I stopped some shops on the way today, and I also gained several hundred points on the doors leading from the second to the third floor.

862/

She was certain that adding new product categories would yield more points than usual, but that wasn't enough; there must be a better way.

Li Xin'er stood in front of the door, staring at the points number on the screen, stroking her chin with one hand, lost in thought.

The Heavenly Dao said that her entry into this world was her destiny.

Why did she insist on coming?

There are two reasons she can think of: First, she had wreaked too much damage on that previous world, and that world had no way to kill her, so it could only send her away, thus enabling the birth of the Heavenly Dao of this world.

The second type is what she has been searching for: her memories of her life.

Aside from this, there was nothing else that made her feel obligated to come.

The Heavenly Dao also said that there was a reason she sought the answer, and the biggest variable in her coming here was the inexplicable opening of the broken tower in space...

Could she be connected to the women's boudoir on the first floor?

Where do the unlimited resources on the second level come from?

She had a feeling that the third level would give her the answer once it opened.

In the end, it all comes down to points!

She guessed that since the last gems increased the points the most, could the crystal cores in the zombies' heads be the key to exchanging points in the apocalypse?

But thinking about it now is pointless, as the current zombies haven't evolved to level 1 yet and don't have crystal cores in their heads.

Having figured all this out, Li Xin'er slipped into a villa, took a nice hot bath, and then fell asleep in the space.
