2. Chapter 2 That was not a dream!

Bai Ling was in a daze, and the blurry scene in front of her eyes gradually became clear. Looking at the hustle and bustle of traffic, red lights and neon lights, and people walking normally in front of her, her face was full of surprise and her eyes widened.

Those clear eyes looked around, seeing normal human faces one after another. Right? She really wasn't mistaken!

How could this be? Was it all a dream? The scenes flashed through my mind, so real. Those man-eating zombies, the mutated animals and insects; the dilapidated and terrifying, most populous city.

Finally, Bai Ling's memory froze at the scene before her death, the distorted face stained with her blood.

Bai Ling reflexively touched her chest and abdomen, which still ached slightly. It seemed as if all this experience had happened just a second ago.

If it was a dream, it was too real and too unbelievable. How could she have such a dream?

Then... If this was a dream, grandma, uncle, sister... were they still there? He hurriedly searched his pockets, ready to take out his phone, when he suddenly froze.

The time is clearly displayed on the phone, May 3, 2018?

Bai Ling seemed to have thought of something and reflexively turned to look at the large square not far from the intersection, staring at the live broadcast on the TV. "May 3, 2018, 5:35 PM."

May 3, 2018, is a day that no living human being will ever forget. It is the beginning of this global disaster and the beginning of a nightmare for people all over the world.

Bai Ling's pupils dilated instantly, and her eyes seemed to be printed on the screen. If the images in her mind were true, then the next thing should be reporting the GD zombie virus!

Pray in your heart, don’t... don’t be true!

Unfortunately, history is history after all. If it happens again, it will just repeat itself.

Bai Ling's thoughts had barely finished when a short-haired host appeared on the big screen. "Here's a news report: It's been three months since the GD virus was discovered. Although we haven't found its source yet, and we don't know exactly how it spreads, there's no need for panic. We just received the latest news: The mayor of our city, S City, has called to say that the infected have been brought under control to some extent..." The host then described the symptoms of GD virus infection. "If you notice anyone around you suddenly developing a high, persistent fever, with dilated pupils and stiffness, please rush to the hospital immediately so medical staff can provide prompt treatment!"

Lies, lies! There's no antidote for the GD virus, let alone control. It's a zombie virus, a virus that spreads through zombies that bite and eat people, and through the blood of zombies.

Bai Ling quickly turned her head to look at the hip-hop boy next to her who was wearing headphones, stepping on a drawing board, and wearing a small scarf. Sure enough, he was blowing bubbles. Bang, the bubbles burst, and he spit them to the side without any courtesy, with his head turned away and looking like a gangster.

"How can you be so uncivilized and spit things out casually?" Bai Ling spoke softly, but she said the same thing to a working girl who was carrying a small backpack behind the boy.

"Who are you to take care of me? The police don't care about me, so why should you?" Bai Ling said this softly again, and this time her words were exactly the same as those of the seemingly rebellious boy.

Bai Ling remembered the exact same scene that had happened before very clearly, and she felt her heart sinking.
