33. Chapter 33: Terrifying

No one had expected that things would escalate to the point of a fight. Suddenly, someone stood up and quickly stopped those people, shouting loudly, "Don't be impulsive. Let's talk it out. What's going on outside? Do we still need to fight among ourselves?"

Bai Ling was really ready to take action. Although she wouldn't kill them, she was sure to teach them a lesson. At this moment, a man stood up. It was the little girl's father. He was in his thirties, wearing glasses and a bloody suit. It seemed that he must have killed zombies before to escape.

I never thought that because of this person's words, those people dared not move anymore.

Bai Ling narrowed her eyes again and looked at the man. It seemed that this man had a lot of say here and was the center of these people.

Regardless, the atmosphere became gloomy.

The door was locked at this time, isolating the monsters chasing from outside.

Bai Xiaoxi blinked, wiped the sweat from her forehead, and panted heavily. Seeing this stalemate, she smiled slightly, which was quite cute. Her voice was a little teasing, "Huh? What's going on?"

As the saying goes, don't hit someone who smiles at you. Furthermore, although Bai Xiaoxi wasn't as powerful as Bai Ling, this group of people saw that he was at least not afraid of those monsters. This inevitably eased the atmosphere.

Bai Ling's cold voice was heard in the quiet shop.

"We are not sent by the government, because it is still unclear how many people have turned into monsters and how many people have been bitten. Is it possible that there are no leaders in the government who have turned into monsters? The man-eating monsters I am talking about are not just here, but the whole world!" Bai Ling looked at this group of people. She didn't intend to speak at first. She wanted to find what she needed and leave. But after all, only one night had passed. The thoughts of this group of people were still stuck in the pre-apocalyptic era. Naturally, it was not the apocalyptic era where the strong were respected.

Force may not be able to solve everything.

Bai Ling's explanation eased the atmosphere again.

But her words made those people completely silent, and some of them looked disheartened.

After all, the incident happened last night, and they were hiding here. Maybe it was just a problem among a small number of people, so they naturally hoped so.

But Bai Ling's words shattered their hopes.

Seeing this, the man in his thirties with glasses hurriedly shook his head. "No, we are Chinese citizens and taxpayers. If something like this happens, they will definitely send someone to rescue us. There will always be people like you to form a team to rescue us, right?"

"Yes, just wait here!" Obviously this resonated with others.

"At least there's food here, so it's relatively safe!" One of the women shrank back in fear.

Since she doesn't want to save them, then they will wait for the government. After all, the country will not abandon them!

Looking at this group of people, Bai Xiaoxi, who was standing behind Bai Ling, frowned. If he hadn't experienced what happened last night, he wouldn't have immediately thought that the government would definitely send soldiers to rescue them. However... Even the powerful bodyguards in that illegal auction turned into zombies, or died in the mouths of zombies. Wouldn't there be zombies in the army?

Moreover, several soldiers sleep in one dormitory. If someone mutates, hiss... Bai Xiaoxi took a deep breath and dared not think about it anymore. The more he thought about it, the more he felt that the world had begun to become desolate.
