Seeing Xiao Mu turn and leave, Shen Zhijie looked into the distance, where something had been staring at them the whole time.
Shen Zhijie didn't go back immediately. Instead, he took out a pack of cigarettes from his trouser pocket, leaned against the wall by the door, put the cigarette in his mouth, bit the butt lightly, narrowed his eyes, and lit the cigarette with a lighter.
As the fire went out, he casually removed the cigarette from his lips, slowly exhaled a puff of white smoke, and gazed into the distance, lost in thought.
Only after he threw the cigarette butt in his hand on the ground and stomped it out did the thing in the distance prepare to leave.

Shen Zhijie's lips curled upwards in a sneer, he sneered, and turned to go home.
Back indoors, he moved the living room plants to a spot closer to the door. When the cat saw the plants being moved, it went looking for them on its own.
The cat circled the greenery twice, paused briefly near the doorway, and then went back to sleep under the plants.
Jiang Yao found Shen Zhijie's actions rather strange; why would he want to change seats?
Could there really be something outside the door?

Shen Zhijie did not return to his own room, but went to Xiao Mu's room.
Xiao Mu heard a knock on the door, opened it, and saw Shen Zhijie.
As he stepped aside to let him in, he smelled a faint scent of cigarettes on Shen Zhijie and said, "You smoke."
"Could it be because of the collectibles?"
Shen Zhijie chuckled. "Am I that kind of petty person?"
“Just now outside the door, there was something in the distance that kept staring at us.”
“I don’t think it’s safe here anymore. Why don’t you come stay at my place for a few days and see how it goes?”
