"Please ask Miss Jiang to come with me to the secret room to retrieve it later." Only Han Qianfan's voice could be heard, and his expression was not visible.
“Sure, no problem,” Jiang Qingwan agreed.
"That concludes today's meeting. Ms. Jiang, please leave." Han Qianfan emptied the meeting room from all attendees.
The secret passages in the post-apocalyptic world are not like those in the movies, with infrared beams, hidden weapons, and poison gas.
On the contrary, it's simple.
The passage was created by five different spatial ability users. The five of them built their own spatial routes separately, and only Han Qianfan, the leader, knew the entire route.
The access control system was created by five metal-type ability users. Each key is engraved with a different pattern, and its shape is unpredictable.
Whether it's the pen on the table or the gold thread on the cuff, no one knows what the five keys will eventually look like.
Jiang Qingwan followed behind and suddenly spoke up: "You even showed me how to get into the secret room. Aren't you afraid I'll betray you?"
"It doesn't matter, I'm not the real leader." Han Qianfan took off his hood, revealing a face that was close to human but clearly not human.
“You’ve put your eyebrows on backwards,” Jiang Qingwan raised an eyebrow. “Your eyebrows aren’t below your eyes.”
"Oh. I came in a rush this morning because we had to hold an emergency meeting." Han Qianfan said, plucking two thick, black, seamless eyebrows and placing them over his eyes, almost reaching his hairline.
Jiang Qingwan rolled her eyes: "Please, just pretend properly. Do it correctly, okay?"
Han Qianfan conjured up a mirror, turned his back, and meticulously kept his eyebrows at the same height.
Looking at Jiang Qingwan's reflection in the mirror, he suddenly realized something was wrong. "Why aren't you surprised at all?"
"Oh. I knew something was wrong with you a long time ago. Jiang Qingwan can sense that humans and aliens have different auras."
"Then who am I?" Han Qianfan scratched his head.
"You don't know who you are?" Jiang Qingwan was genuinely surprised this time.
"When I arrived, the man was already dead. He was wearing a hood, and I thought his attire made disguise quite convenient, so I copied his memories as well," Han Qianfan explained simply.
"You high-level zombies are always lying," Jiang Qingwan said, unconvinced.
"Have you ever seen a zombie like me? Randomly assembling facial features?" Han Qianfan said, taking off all the facial features and neatly pasting them onto the wall.
Jiang Qingwan closed her eyes tightly and commanded, "If you don't fix your facial features, I'll throw them all into another dimension later."
Han Qianfan quickly pressed all his facial features against his face.
“You are a zombie,” Jiang Qingwan said decisively.
"I don't think I am." Han Qianfan genuinely believed that he was not.
"I don't care if you are or not, just hand over the crystal first." Jiang Qingwan was too lazy to argue.
"No, I ate it." Han Qianfan shrugged.
"Then you can pay off your debt." Without waiting for a reply, Jiang Qingwan used the Immortal Binding Rope to bind Han Qianfan in the space, leaving the Golden Radiance Sword to guard him.
Jiang Qingwan came out of the secret room alone, and no one questioned her about why the leader hadn't come out with her.
Because no one else knows where the secret room is.
Jiang Qingwan went straight to Ye Qi's laboratory.
"I'm looking for Ye Qi," Jiang Qingwan said to the gatekeeper.
"Do you have an appointment?" The gatekeeper didn't recognize Jiang Qingwan and looked her up and down.
"No. Just tell him that Jiang Qingwan is looking for him." Jiang Qingwan gave her name.
"Okay, just a moment." The gatekeeper took out his walkie-talkie and contacted Ye Qi.
"Okay." The gatekeeper nodded, opened the gate, and said to Jiang Qingwan, "Go in. Door number B218."
