Chapter 82 Get Used To It

Chapter 82 Getting Used To It

About 30 kilometers from the coast is the farthest they can travel for now.

After inspecting the area, they found nothing unusual. However, just as they were about to leave, a sudden storm arose, causing the cruise ship to rock violently as if something was hitting it from below.

The attendant threw a palm-sized ball of lightning directly into the sea. The water crackled and popped, and the waves gradually calmed down.

The thing below got seriously shocked.

Lin Zhi sighed softly, "I suddenly realized that the captain's superpower is incredibly useful in the sea."

That's right, water conducts electricity and it freezes into ice.

Her reminder made everyone else start to suspect that the reason their team was specially sent to Haicheng was because the captain's special abilities were well utilized here.

Several lightning bolts were thrown into the sea by the passenger, and you could feel something swimming frantically below, as if it were trying to escape.

Noticing the surging water, guessing that something was about to jump up, I instantly froze, freezing the leaping thing and the seawater together.

"Hey, it's a mutated bluefin tuna!" Chen Jiang stabbed the creature to death with a fork, then hooked it up and asked, "Can we eat this?"

Zhang Meng slapped him on the back of the head, cursing, "You dare to eat mutated things? Are you out of your mind?!"

Chen Jiang rubbed the back of his head, looking aggrieved, and said, "I was just saying that offhand. Before the apocalypse, I had no money to eat, and now that the apocalypse has come, I still have nothing to eat. This is just too miserable!"

Tan Qingjia said, "Biological mutations in the ocean may come earlier than the apocalypse. You haven't forgotten about the nuclear wastewater issue over 2x24 years, have you?"

Chen Jiang shook his head repeatedly, how could he possibly forget!

This is a case of reaping what you sow. The country that recklessly discharged nuclear wastewater into the ocean saw its entire island destroyed in less than a week when the day of calamity arrived, with very few people escaping.

"Captain, this mutant doesn't have a number on it."

Now, checking for identification numbers on every alien species they encounter has become a habit for them.

Perhaps it was the scent of this alien species' blood that mixed into the seawater, attracting many more alien species to attack them.

After dealing with these loose ends, they began preparing to return home.

When Lü Zhi woke up, the cruise ship had already returned to shore.

He yawned lazily, and as he approached the passenger, he caught a faint smell of the sea. He frowned and said, "Did you go fishing in the sea?"

"No." Seeing him frown, the attendant pushed his head away and quickened his pace, saying, "I'm going back to take a shower."

Lu Zhi's eyes lit up, and he hurriedly chased after him, looking very eager, but in the end, he was still locked out by his attendant.

He rubbed his nose and said, looking aggrieved, "Did something happen while I was sleeping?"

"An alien species." The voice of the attendant came through the sound of water.

"Hmm..." Lu Zhi drawled out, speaking in a nonchalant tone, "How's your strength?"

"Following along": "It's average, but the quantity is large."

"Yes, it is the ocean after all."

The lawyer leaned against the door, and as soon as the bathroom door opened, he stopped the attendant and pulled him toward the bed. Just as the attendant was about to make a move, he covered his head with a towel and slowly dried his wet hair.

"We can't keep investigating like this forever, can we? This is too slow," Lu Zhi couldn't help but complain.

"It's only the first day, young master." The attendant gave him a disdainful look.

“Isn’t there an even better way?” Lu Zhi squatted down in front of him and chuckled, “Our captain knows what the way is.”

Sui Cheng looked at him, remained silent for a long while, and then asked, "Are you physically capable right now? How confident are you?"

Lu Zhi looked at him with a half-smile, tapping the corner of his lips with his finger, the meaning of which was quite obvious.

Sui hesitated for a few seconds, then leaned forward and kissed him on the corner of his lips. "Can you tell me now?"

"Mmm..." Lu Zhi shook his head, held the back of his neck, and kissed him deeply, their lips and teeth touching, their breaths mingling.

His moist lips landed on his neck again, leaving behind red marks.

"Speak quickly!" The attendant pried open his head, stopping him from pushing his luck.

Lu Zhi gave a slightly dissatisfied snort, half-closing his eyes as he said, "There's nothing seriously wrong with my body, but as for the chances of success, I'm not sure either, after all, this sea area is too vast."

"All we need to do is find the island and know what's going on there," Sui Cheng said, grabbing his fidgeting hand.

Lu Zhi grabbed his hand, kissed his knuckles, and said, "If I remember correctly, you have a location on that island, don't you?"

Sui Cheng nodded, but given their current situation, they were unable to get close.

“Perhaps we can think of a better way,” Lu Zhi said, biting his finger. “To protect that island, there must be many alien species protecting it. Why not lure those alien species away?”

The attendant frowned and asked, "How do we lead them?"

Lu Zhi laughed and said, "In such a vast ocean, it's not just there that alien species exist. Alien species enhance their own strength by eating other alien species. Just find the strongest one and borrow it."

Upon hearing that he planned to go to the deep sea to join forces with a powerful alien species, Sui Cheng's expression became extremely solemn.

This means they have to cooperate with other species.

“I know you don’t want to,” Lu Zhi said softly, stroking his face. “So let me do this. It’s none of your business.”

"No, the alien species in the deep sea are unfathomable. If you are no match for them..."

"Baby, are you worried about me?" Lu Zhi bit his lip and pushed him down onto the bed. "Have some faith in me, okay? Do I really look that weak?"

Lu Zhi didn't know where he got the misconception from, but he felt that the attendant always treated him like some kind of porcelain doll.

The passenger turned his head away and whispered, "When are you going? Can you adapt to that deep-sea place?"

"Open your mouth." Lu Zhi pinched Sui Cheng's chin, making him open his mouth.

As the two kissed, a light green seed entered Suicheng's body.

Sui Cheng felt a warm sensation inside his body. The seed eventually settled in his heart, and the light it emitted carefully protected it.

“What is this?” he asked.

Lu Zhi chuckled lightly, "With my seed, you can know my situation at all times. Can you rest assured now?"

Sui Cheng curiously touched his chest; it was truly a strange feeling.

Lu Zhi lay on his side beside him, propping his head up with one hand, and chuckled, "This is only temporary. If we plant a permanent seed inside you..."

His hand moved to the stomach of the person accompanying him, his eyes deep and dark, and he said in a low, hoarse voice, "Start from here."

Sui Cheng's face flushed red, and she pushed him away, shouting sharply, "You, you dare!"

“It’s bound to happen sooner or later anyway, baby, you’ll have to get used to it.” Lu Zhi kissed his eyes, teasing him as he said, “The process might be a little uncomfortable, but you only get one chance to plant the seed. Once you fail, you can never do it a second time.”
