Chapter 52 Species and Humans
"Where is the person you mentioned?" Yang Xie asked, glancing at Lu Zhi.
"Isn't it up there?" Lu pointed upwards.
As soon as they looked up, they saw the figure hanging upside down above.
It looked strange; its eyes were empty and white, as if it were completely controlled.
They held onto the steel pipe with one hand, and even after being spotted by their entourage, they did not react.
Sui Cheng said, "These superhumans seem to be being manipulated."
“More than that,” Dang Hongyuan said. “Look into their eyes; they no longer look human.”
As soon as he finished speaking, a strange sound came from the innermost part of the laboratory, like some kind of radio wave. After this sound came out, the superhumans above also moved, their eyes rolled around in their sockets a few times, and then they let go of the steel pipes above, falling down in unison.
"Bang!" Dang Hongyuan raised his hand, and a huge fireball smashed into the superhumans.
With a "whoosh," the vines formed a shield, blocking the fireball, and the burning branches fell to the ground.
These vines originated from one of the superhumans, whose body had been transformed into vine branches.
“Interesting.” Lu Zhi covered his lips, his eyes gleaming with a chilling light.

Without his interference, Sui Cheng and Dang Hongyuan felt much more relaxed.
The ivy vines pierced through the chest of the superhuman and, when the two were not paying attention, pulled out a green crystal core from his heart, which was instantly devoured by the ivy.
"Cough cough cough cough!" Lu Zhi leaned against the wall, coughing incessantly, and finally couldn't help but spit out a mouthful of blood.
Sui Cheng couldn't help but glance at him. Lu Zhi noticed his gaze, waved to him, and told him not to worry.
After all the superhumans were dealt with, the testing ground became quiet. Dang Hongyuan couldn't help but look towards where Yang Xie had gone, wondering how things were going there.
"Let's go."
They immediately went inside, and Suicheng strode over to Lu Zhi's side and helped him up.
There were many corpses on the road, similar to the superhumans they had just dealt with. Following the corpses, they found Yang Xie.

Sui Cheng frowned. That meant that the people inside might have heard what they said back then?
"Let's go in and take a look," Dang Hongyuan said.
Yang Xie forcibly opened the door disguised as a wall, but in an instant, a flash of silver light passed by.
"Raising evil spirits!" Dang Hongyuan shouted in alarm.
His shoulder was struck by the silver light, and blood splattered. His first reaction to the attack was to shield Dang Hongyuan behind him. He glanced at the wound, then looked coldly at the source of the attack.

After a while, he finally figured out what was attacking him.
The law enforcement officer lazily remarked from behind, "It's just a mechanism."
Sui Cheng pinched his arm, then stepped forward and said to Dang Hongyuan, "Captain Dang, please treat the deputy captain's wound first."
Dang Hongyuan nodded solemnly, his expression growing increasingly grim as he treated Yang Xie's wounds.
"Don't keep a long face, A-Yuan." Yang Xie couldn't hold back any longer. He knew Dang Hongyuan; if he didn't coax him now, he might sulk all day.
"Alright, let's go." Dang Hongyuan held his breath, but because of the presence of his attendants and the law enforcers, he couldn't say much. He could only whisper, "Be careful."
"Okay, I understand." Yang Xie squeezed his palm.
Watching the two interact, Lu Zhi whispered in Sui Cheng's ear, "I told you they were a couple."
Sui Cheng rolled his eyes at him.
Many people know this, but no one has said it as directly as Lv Zhi.
