Chapter 21 News Agency
The next morning, sunlight streamed into the bed through the small window above.
A handsome man was holding a good-looking man in his arms. The two seemed very close, yet there was a slight distance between them.
Sui Cheng woke up because of his biological clock. After realizing his position, he was a little dazed. He had actually been held by a man and slept soundly all night!
He was starting to have an existential crisis, so he pulled his hand away and rubbed his temples.
What kind of mess is this?!
Lu Zhi slept even more soundly, but woke up when Sui Cheng pulled away from his embrace. He instinctively grabbed Sui Cheng's hand and pulled him back forcefully, pressing half of his body against him and draping his long, elegant legs over Sui Cheng's.
"Baby." His voice was hoarse from the early morning, and his lazy tone made it even more pleasant to hear.
Sui Cheng pushed him away with a dark expression. The blanket had already fallen to the ground, and if he looked down, he would see something was wrong.
Are you a pervert?!
Hearing his beloved's furious voice, Lu Zhi laughed even harder, teasingly saying, "Isn't this a normal reaction a man should have every day?"
Sui Cheng glanced out the window and noticed that there seemed to be fewer people outside. He frowned and said sternly, "Law Enforcer, get up and get to work."
Lu Zhi got off the bed, tugged at his waistband, and said quietly, "Honey, I can't just go out like this, can I? People will think I'm a pervert."
"So you did know that?" Suicheng glared at him, wishing he could kick him away.
Lu Zhi saw through his thoughts and said with an embarrassed smile, "Alright, alright, I'm going to take a cold shower."
"Stop right there." The attendant said coldly, "With your frail body, you dare to take a cold shower?"
Lu Zhi revealed a sly smile, raised an eyebrow and said, "Then what should we do? Why don't you come with the captain to help me?"
"Come here." Sui Cheng beckoned to him with his finger, his usual coldness replaced by a slightly mischievous glint in his eyes.
Lu Zhi walked over to him, only to see Sui Cheng's fingers pressed against his chest. A surge of electricity rushed into his body, making him feel as if his soul was about to leave his body.
"Damn it!"
Sui Cheng withdrew his hand and said calmly, "Isn't this fine?"
Lu Zhi looked at Sui Cheng in fear, opened his mouth, looked at Sui Cheng, and murmured in disbelief, "When you're in bed, you don't also use electric shocks, do you?"
The passenger replied, "What's it to you?"
Lu Zhi was genuinely afraid that he would flirt in bed, so she flattered him, saying, "Baby, you can't do that in bed anymore, for the sake of our happiness."
"Get out." Sui Cheng kicked him in the shin and said coldly, "Hurry up and pack your things and get out to find Chen Jiang and the others."
"What do you want with them?" Lu Zhi asked while brushing his teeth. He hadn't had enough of his time with his girlfriend yet, so why did he have to bring back those third wheels?
“I’m not in a position to move around much lately. You’re a new face, so contacting them won’t attract much attention. But if I go there, I’ll be exposed instantly.”
After rinsing his mouth, Lu Zhi said casually, "Anyway, everyone here knows you're here, right?"
"So you were eavesdropping after all." The attendant sneered.
Lu Zhi shuddered and quickly explained, "I didn't mean to, it's just... cough!"
He coughed again, and looking down, I saw Sui Cheng holding the vines on his wrist.
"Get this for me."
Lu Zhi shook his head while coughing: "No."
"What you're doing is no different from surveillance."
"There's no difference, because I'm monitoring and eavesdropping."
His blunt words left the passenger speechless.
Damn, that guy is absolutely amazing.
The law enforcement officer was kicked out by his attendant. Frustrated, he tossed his hair and was forced to go find someone.
He was incredibly adept at finding people, and soon he found Chen Jiang.
When Chen Jiang and his two companions saw Lu Zhi arrive alone, they asked in surprise, "Where's the captain?"
The lawyer said coldly, "They didn't come. They sent me to ask how your investigation is going."
Chen Jiang hesitated for a moment, seemingly still somewhat skeptical of the law.
But Tan Qingjia reacted much faster, saying bluntly, "Let's find a secluded place to talk about many issues."
Chen Jiang opened his mouth as if to say something, but after being glanced at by Tan Qingjia, he secretly shut his mouth again.
Lu Zhi wasn't blind, so he naturally saw their little tricks. He said calmly, "Don't worry, as long as it's related to the passenger, I won't do anything to you. Whether you believe me or not is irrelevant, as long as he believes me, that's enough."
This domineering declaration of possessiveness made Chen Jiang cough awkwardly.

Chen Jiang said with a strange expression, "Brother Lv, this is not easy to investigate."
He called out "brother" with such reluctance.
Lawyer: "Get to the point."
Chen Jiang said, "They're well hidden. This group of people probably have someone protecting them, someone with power and influence. They're definitely not easy to investigate."
"That's it?" Lawyer scoffed. "Do you know all the powerful and influential people in the three bases?"
Chen Jiang was stumped by his question, but Tan Qingjia reacted the fastest and quickly said, "The captain knows most of them, and even if he doesn't know them, he's heard of them."
The lawyer continued, "In that case, let's investigate them one by one. Do the three bases combined have that many powerful and influential people under their command who can defeat advanced species?"
He raised one hand.

Tan Qingjia: "That makes sense. So, Brother Lu, should we focus our efforts on the people at the news agency?"
"When you're traveling with the passengers, do you get a lot of screen time?"
