"I obey your command, Your Excellency."
A familiar voice rang out, startling everyone in the conference room into silence. All stared in astonishment at the woman who emerged from behind the leader.
She was tall and slender, and walked out as lightly as the wind. Her delicate and sculpted profile was splattered with glaring blood. She turned her head indifferently, and there were still those cold and familiar eyes.
"However, if I may correct you slightly, this has nothing to do with correcting past mistakes."
As the blade was drawn, a cold voice resounded throughout the arena.
The air seemed to freeze for a moment. No one had time to react to what the leader had said or when Shi Yin appeared.
All they felt was a flash of swords and shadows. Countless snow-white blades fell like snowflakes. The person who was knocked to the ground felt a lightness on their body, and was splattered with foul-smelling blood. When they opened their eyes again, the beast that had knocked them to the ground was already broken into several pieces and lying to the side.
A flurry of sword lights descended from the sky, seemingly chaotic, yet each strike was incredibly precise, avoiding the hardest bones of these ferocious beasts and striking their vital points directly.
The whole process took only five or six seconds, as if the entire conference room had been cleaned the moment the leader finished speaking.
Everyone stared in astonishment at Shi Yin, who stood calmly behind the leader and sheathed her sword, and for a moment they forgot to breathe.
"What happened? How could this be?" The man who called himself a puppet was dumbfounded. He hadn't even recovered from the shock when all the zombie puppets he had subdued were cut into pieces.
The puppet was going crazy. He never expected Shi Yin to be so powerful. He frantically pulled on all the puppet strings in his hands, but not a single zombie escaped.
how so?
He had only ever felt such strength from a few high-ranking powerhouses in the New World. These remnants of the Old World had only recently awakened their superpowers, so how could they be so strong?
“We didn’t expect your new world to be so vast, and you didn’t expect us to be so powerful. We’re even.” Shi Yin sheathed her katana and bowed slightly to the leader. “I’m sorry I’m a little late and that I’ve worried you.”
“I think it’s just right.” The commander patted Shi Yin on the shoulder and nodded in satisfaction: “We have better chemistry than I imagined.”
Shi Yin trusted them. Even if she disappeared, they would be able to stabilize the situation, understand her intentions, and help her complete her plan without her knowledge.
The leader, however, believed that Tokine would be able to return when the plan was completed and a transition was needed.
It's simply about mutual trust.
“My trust in you is based on experience, and your trust in me is because you have always been able to see through my intentions.” Shi Yin took a deep breath: “But I’m glad that the premise of your ability to see through me every time is your trust in me.”
"Report!" A man rushed in from outside.
He was clad in silver armor that covered him up to two meters tall. Every piece of metal was exquisitely and meticulously pieced together, and the way he charged in showed no agility whatsoever.
Upon seeing Shi Yin, the silver armor was clearly taken aback for a moment, but quickly recovered.
"Report, Ji Chuan has led the people in the solitary confinement room to detain all the protesters and await their fate." Although the voice had been altered and mixed by the mecha, it was still clear that the person inside the armor was Ye Shaoheng.
"What?" someone asked in confusion. "Wasn't Ji Chuan put in solitary confinement?"
Shi Yin nodded without any surprise.
When she went missing, no one could contact her, but Ji Chuan was special; he was able to contact his master, Aga Ray.
Moreover, apart from a few insiders, no one knows that Ji Chuan is Aga Ray's apprentice.
After several attempts to question Agareth, which Agareth gave vague answers and changed the subject, Ji Chuan realized something was wrong. He was just not very intelligent, but he wasn't stupid; otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to get into a good university, pursue a master's degree, and graduate smoothly.
Ji Chuan felt like he was about to suffocate from being idle like this. Nan Zhu had become "good friends" with that group and infiltrated their ranks. The leader was biding his time and deliberately letting things go. Ye Shaoheng was on standby every day, secretly observing. Lin Beiyue and a few others were leading teams out to explore...
After much thought, Ji Chuan decided he could put his rich kid potential to good use. There were quite a few people in the solitary confinement cell, so he pretended to have a bout of rich man's disease and was thrown into the cell. He comforted the people in the cell while waiting for everything to end.
Sure enough, the informant opened the door to the solitary confinement room. Upon meeting his gaze, Ji Chuan immediately led the people in the confinement room out. He knew it was best not to rush into the conference room and cause trouble, so he began to suppress the disobedient people outside.
There was no collusion between any of the key figures in the plan, including the Chief, Nanzhu, Jichuan, Lin Beiyue, and Shiyin.
They pieced together fragmented information based on intuition, connected by trust, and made their own contributions.
We are just waiting for Shiyin to return so that all the points can be connected into a line.
“Miss, this is a complete list of all the people who have formed cliques and colluded with others during this period, along with their detailed cases and supporting evidence.” Nan Zhu also stepped forward and handed the file bag and USB drive to Shi Yin.
“I have clearly labeled them with serial numbers. Please point out any omissions.” Nan Zhu gazed intently at Shi Yin. “Also, welcome back.”
"Don't be too happy yet, we've already sent men to ambush and kill your favorite expedition team!" Secretary Yun, who was pinned to the ground, had bloodshot eyes: "If you don't want them to die a horrible death, release us right now."
"Who did you send to intercept and kill? Get down on the ground and behave yourself." The man holding Secretary Yun couldn't help but kick him and took off his hood: "Who do you think the person holding you is? Being a villain has lowered your IQ."
"You, you, you, you guys?" When Secretary Yun saw the person holding him, his mind went blank. This person... wasn't he one of Lin Beiyue's expedition team?
Even if Lin Beiyue's expedition team was incredibly strong, they were only three C-level and a bunch of E and D-level individuals. How could they possibly survive a horde of zombie beasts?
unless……
Secretary Yun stared intently at Shi Yin, as if he were placing all his anger and guilt on her head.
"What are you looking at? Look again and I'll gouge your eyes out." Gu Changge stomped on Secretary Yun's head and slammed it into the ground with such force that it cracked the floorboards.
She was furious. Although Gu Changge guessed that everyone had a plan, their exploration team had suffered real losses of teammates. She wished she could chop them into pieces.
"When did you get back?" The puppet had calmed down by now.
Whether to make himself more comfortable or because he already knew he couldn't escape, he lay motionless on the ground, only moving his eyes to observe the people in the conference room.
"I'm not telling you." Gu Changge made a face at the puppet: "What if you can be reborn and then ruin our plans? Don't try to get information out of us."
puppet:"……"
If I had that ability, would I still be pinned to the ground by you?
