Chapter Six: The Autistic Cat

It's a pity that Xuanqing didn't know the term "autism" existed, otherwise it would have been a perfect description of his current state of mind!

He's lived for over 700 years and has never gotten along with dogs, yet today he actually ate food specifically made for dogs!

He tried to hold back, but finally couldn't help but bark fiercely at the dog food in the bowl:

"Meow—woof—!"

Then, with a turn of his head, he slammed his head hard into Su Li's thigh!

The cat doesn't want to see people anymore...

Zurich: ?

This cat,

A crazy cat?

She stared speechlessly at the black cat whose head was pressed firmly against her thigh while its face was buried in the sofa. After a couple of seconds, she turned away and ignored it.

So what if they're a little crazy? Smart cats always have some unusual habits!

The cat is no longer important, because her self-heating pot is ready!

Su Li couldn't wait to lift the lid, and the rich, spicy aroma immediately hit her nose, making her stomach, which had been empty for several meals, rumble!

She took out a piece of bread she had just found from her spatial storage, intending to eat it with the self-heating pot.

Worried that the smell might spread, she closed the bedroom door while the pot was heating up.

At this moment, only the soft sound of chewing could be heard in the small room.

And then, gradually, the sound of a cat purring in its sleep could be heard...

After finishing her meal, Su Li finally felt a bit better in her stomach and her energy returned.

It was already late, and the sun was setting outside. The crimson sunset shone through the window, creating a beautiful scene, yet it inexplicably carried a sense of desolation.

She glanced at the time on the tablet, which showed that it was already 5:43 PM. Su Li prepared to go to sleep, get a good night's rest, and then leave early the next morning.

Although her transmigration was bizarre, she's already been given a cheat code, so wouldn't it be a waste if she just chose to stay in this tiny room?

Moreover, she doesn't have enough supplies to support her hiding like this!

The zombies are still moving very slowly, and they may evolve in the future, but at least for now they don't pose much of a threat to humans.

So now is a good time to go looking for supplies.

Otherwise, if more people come out to look for supplies and there are more mutated creatures, even if she has a spatial ability, it will be difficult for her to find supplies.

After making the bed, Su Li walked around the room again.

She checked all the doors and windows to make sure they were locked before returning to her side bedroom.

The black cat woke up when she got up to make the bed, and now it was lazily lying in the middle of the summer blanket, looking at her with its eyes half open.

When Su Li returned and saw the dark mass in the middle of the blanket, a smile involuntarily crept onto her lips.

She climbed up on one knee, picked up the soft kitten with one hand, and looked into its eyes:

"I'm going to sleep now. Behave yourself tonight and don't make any noises. If you hear any noise outside, wake me up right away!"

Su Li still felt that this cat could definitely understand what she was saying.

It's just that the kitten has learned to disguise itself.

Xuan Qing felt a little guilty under the probing gaze of the girl in front of him.

But he still kept his round eyes open, putting on an innocent expression: "Meow~~"

He called out to the girl in a high-pitched voice.

If you see through it, then see through it, but you can't let your ability to soften people's hearts be exposed!

Compared to the quiet of the daytime, the atmosphere of the apocalypse is more intense at night.

From time to time, the roars of zombies could be heard from downstairs, along with faint screams that belonged to humans.

But Zuli had another animal nearby that was highly alert.

So she slept relatively well that night.

The next day,

Su Li woke up before six in the morning.

As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw the black cat curled up into a ball, facing her, lying an arm's length away from her.

As soon as she moved, the black cat's pointed little ears on its head immediately stood up.

Then those icy blue eyes opened and met her gaze directly!

Su Li saw a brief flash of sharpness in those eyes.

But that sharpness softened the moment it met hers:

"Meow~ Aww..."

The black cat meowed at her, but halfway through the meow, its mouth opened wider and wider, and the greeting ended up as a huge yawn!

Su Li watched and couldn't help but laugh.

Sure enough, no matter how smart they are, they still can't change a cat's habits!

She glanced out the window; it was already broad daylight, and the faint roars that had haunted her dreams at night were gradually fading away.

Zombies are more active at night than during the day.

Mutant animals are also included.

This is the setting from the original book!

Zuli cooked a bowl of instant noodles in the self-heating pot box this morning.

What puzzled her was that today, the black cat ignored the dog food it had been so concerned about yesterday, and instead kept trying to eat her instant noodles.

She frowned as she looked at the little black cat that had been pawing at her with its black paws for a while.

Could it possibly be aware of the difference between cat food and human food?

Thinking this, Su Li picked up a piece of instant noodles with her chopsticks, placed it on the lid of the container, and put it in front of her:

"Cats shouldn't eat human food. If you get an upset stomach, you're responsible for it..."

However, before she could finish speaking, she saw the cat lower its head and start eating without hesitation!

The old cat, engrossed in its food, is thinking to itself:

So the mortals of this world eat such delicious food? What a delicacy! It tastes just as good as the dishes made by the chefs of Shangyunlou!
