The architectural styles of Zaun and Piltover are very different.
New buildings in the upper town blend smooth marble, bronze grids, and gleaming glass, even as their older neighbors are constructed of stone or wood.
Most of the buildings in the base city are made of steel grids, with an overall dull silver, copper and dark green hues corroded by alchemical chemicals.
Most of this metal comes from hot furnace slag or recycled waste from the upper city.
Amidst the thick and heavy haze, the most conspicuous thing is the bright yellow-green light shining from buildings of various shapes.
Those were lights powered by alchemical chemicals, and the streetlights on Piltover's buildings and roadsides flashed this color all year round.
The towering buildings with overlapping layers pierce through the thick fog and rush towards the sky, and the top is almost invisible.
Coupled with the alchemically enhanced prosthetics that can be seen everywhere on pedestrians on the roadside, it shows a unique cyberpunk style.
Because the air was so hard to breathe, Li Lin and Caitlin spoke very little along the way, and walked quickly through the dense and crowded buildings and roads of all sizes.
The two walked for about an hour, but when they saw the familiar scene repeating several times before them, they found themselves back to the starting point again.
"Why are the roads in the base city so complicated that even I can't figure it out..." Caitlin, who was a little crazy, finally couldn't help but complain.
Li Lin shrugged helplessly.
He had suggested to Caitlin a long time ago whether they should ask someone for directions, but she was convinced that she could find the way with her keen hunter senses...
However, seeing that the girl was obviously angry, Li Lin wisely chose not to complain.
After getting lost again and returning to the starting point, Caitlin finally gave up struggling and said dejectedly, "How about we find someone to ask for directions..."
I've been waiting for you to say this.
Li Lin sighed silently and turned to look at a middle-aged man who was preparing to open a tavern called "Fugen Tavern" next to him.
He had long, slicked-back hair mixed with black and gray, his beard and sideburns were neatly trimmed, and his clothes were very clean and tidy. Compared with the other people in Zaun, he seemed a little out of place.
Well, he looks kind, so let’s choose him.
"The door hasn't been opened yet. Come back later." Hearing the approaching footsteps from behind, the middle-aged man continued to work without turning his head.
"May the smog stay out of your home." Li Lin said politely, "Sorry to bother you, but we're not here to drink."
"...So what are you doing?"
The middle-aged man put down the box in his hand and turned around, putting one hand on the sign beside him and looking at the two people in confusion.
"If you have something to say, please tell me quickly. It's not easy to run a small business. I'm still busy packing things up and opening for business."
"Just asking for directions." Li Lin took out a silver coin from his pocket and handed it to the middle-aged man.
"You two aren't from Dicheng, are you?" The middle-aged man and Li Lin exchanged glances. "Showing off your wealth in this place isn't a good idea... for you, or for the beautiful lady beside you."
"Thank you for the reminder. We know our limits." Li Lin responded politely.
The middle-aged man grinned, stretched out his rough hand, took the silver wheel and put it in his pocket, "Tell me, where do you two want to go? I personally suggest that you don't go to remote places."
"I just want to ask, do you know where 'Benso's Grocery' is?"
Hearing this name, a gleam of light flashed in the middle-aged man's eyes, but he did not answer Li Lin's question immediately.
After a brief moment of thought, he chuckled, "Of course I know. That old guy keeps buying up junk that he can't sell, and his shop is almost bankrupt... I wonder what you two want from him?"
Li Lin noticed something amiss with the middle-aged man, and then felt Caitlin secretly poking him in the waist. He smiled and said, "I just asked if he had something to sell. It's no big deal."
"I see..." The middle-aged man was silent for a moment. "Bensuo's grocery store is a bit out of the way. How about this? You wait for me to make some arrangements, and then I can take you two there."
Li Lin frowned secretly, not understanding what this middle-aged man was up to. "This isn't good... Won't it interfere with your business?"
"No, no, it's only afternoon now. The guests won't arrive until evening."
Just as Li Lin was about to refuse, he suddenly caught a glimpse of two girls with different hair colors in the tavern, one pink and one blue.
Is this Vi and Jinx when they were little?
Why are they here?
In the main universe he knew, Vi and Jinx were twin orphans who had never lived together since childhood.
But the two girls in front of him, who were obviously several years older than him, conflicted with the story in his memory again.
Li Lin stared blankly at the middle-aged man as he walked into the hall and explained something to the two girls. Suddenly, a mechanical notification sounded in his mind:

What is going on? !
The sudden reminder from the system really surprised Li Lin, but it was followed by excitement and excitement in his heart.
I was saying this crappy system doesn’t even have a mission, I don’t know how to level up, it turns out I need to contact heroes.
