Chapter 74 Gotham's Idea King (not really) In short, it's great...
"Good evening, Gotham! Welcome to an extra sweet and fun Halloween special! A big thank you to our sponsor, Mr. Wayne, who provided the stage, ingredients, screen, and props!" The Joker moved his face away from the camera, revealing his entire face. As he spoke, he gave an exaggerated bow towards the camera, which was met with a sob. "I'm the Joker, and I'll teach you how to make Halloween lollipops!"
Upon seeing this face, "Night Owl" immediately sensed something was wrong.
Meanwhile, Batman and the Joker exchanged a glance.
"The makeup was pretty good, and the acting had a decent festive feel," commented a passerby on their way out (yes, there are always people like this, even a brawl between "Night Owl" and Batman can't stop them from watching the excitement, at most they'll watch from a distance). "Wayne Group's event?"
"Maybe they're planning to enter the entertainment industry. Wayne, who just came back, seems quite interested in these things..."
"Bruce Wayne? He shouldn't be interested in horror movies. Is this what that guy's taste is like?"
As the group of passersby tried to distance themselves from "Night Owl" and Batman while discussing whether it was a promotional video for some horror movie, the Joker spoke up again: "Okay, although this isn't television or a show... we have enough sweetness!"
The camera then pans to several long, yellowish objects, each fixed upright on the ground by a long iron rod, and inside each object appears to be a red object.
There are people inside!
That madman!
"Night Owl" paused, which gave another clown an opportunity. She grabbed "Night Owl's" arm, used the momentum to somersault, kicked his shoulder, and nimbly flipped to the ground.
Batman pulled out his grappling hook and fired it toward the main entrance of Wayne Tower. He caught the Joker mid-flight, and the two of them perfectly bypassed the "Night Owl" blocking their way, rushing straight into Wayne Tower.
"What are you looking at? How did they get away?" Red Hood frowned. He could only see things within a certain radius around "Night Owl." "What exactly happened?"
"Night Owl" did not move.
"What a pity, I'm not very good at making syrup, what a waste of Wayne Enterprises' good ingredients." The Joker on the big screen was still moving. He walked up to the "lollipop," rubbed the sugar coating on his finger, and then exaggeratedly put his finger in his mouth. "But it still tastes just as good, hahahahahaha—"
He leaned against the lollipop: "I know... everyone wants candy today, so I prepared a surprise for the whole of Gotham City—"
The camera pans to a small screen, which displays an image of a giant syrup storage tank surrounded by a chained group of people with pumpkin heads on their heads. At the bottom of the syrup storage tank is a time bomb.
People writhed in terror; the sight was utterly disgusting.
“An hour from now, Batman, if you don’t come here, Gotham will have one less boring corn candy factory and one more fun Halloween candy art gallery,” the Joker laughed. “Children get in free! You can eat as much candy as you like; it’s a Halloween gift from Uncle Joker!”
Amid his maniacal and shrill laughter, "Night Owl" roughly determined his location from the scene behind him.
He is in Wayne Tower.
-
"Can you tell which room he's in?" Martha the Joker asked Batman as she examined Wayne Tower. "This place is nothing like the Wayne Enterprises I remember."
“It’s completely different from what I remember,” Batman said as he approached the elevator. “Clearly, our kids are better at running a business than I am.”
“Then we don’t know,” Martha the Joker squinted. “If this isn’t Bruce and Thomas Jr.’s Wayne Tower (that statement seems to directly rule out a certain Doctor Thomas)…”
She just blew this place up, quick and easy.
“I also think it would be better to blow this place up,” Batman said, “but that guy said he wanted me to see it with my own eyes.”
"That's right... Do you remember where the monitoring room is?"
“I remember it should be upstairs.” Batman fired a shot into a dark corner, followed by a scream. “But we shouldn’t need to check the security cameras now.”
Several men dressed as clowns jumped out from the corner, attempting to attack the two uninvited guests.
Then they were easily defeated, without any suspense.
Where is your leader?
Martha the Clown held a knife, the blade lightly grazing the clown's face. "I need his help with something."
"What help do you need?" "Night Owl" walked up from behind them. He had just used the high-tech equipment in his Night Owl-themed armor to access part of Wayne Tower's surveillance system and successfully pinpointed the Joker's location.
“I hope he can die peacefully. I want to kill that clown with my own hands—” Martha the clown angrily plunged the knife in her hand into the shoulder of the person beneath her. “He must die.”
“That sounds familiar,” Red Hood said weakly, “but hearing it from this clown lady makes me feel a little nauseous…”
Hey, we're still live streaming!
Don't spit into my earpiece!
"What are you thinking? This is just an exaggeration!"
"Night Owl" perfectly controlled his expression: "And I want to stop him. We can cooperate."
Martha the clown looked at him warily.
The blood sugar in her mind surged again.
No... how could my child be with someone who attacked him...
Thomas Wayne's face also appeared in Martha's mind.
It's not impossible.
She stood up as calmly as possible, glaring at Night Owl: "Fine, sir."
She emphasized the word "sir" very much.
"Night Owl" completely ignored this inexplicable hostility (since he wasn't the real Night Owl, he'd leave this to that evil owl to worry about), and without any further ado, turned on the 3D projection equipment to show the two of them a projection of the Venn Tower.
"This is where the clown is," Night Owl zoomed in on that part of the model, "Considering he may have taken hostages, we should prioritize developing a plan..."
How do you know so much!
This is clearly the Tower of Venn!
-
The cameras have been turned off, and the clown has knocked over the "lollipop" and is sitting on the giant candy block.
Several Wayne Enterprises employees were tied up and pinned to the ground by members of the Joker Gang.
“Ha, Mr. Wayne (he mimicked the tone of a Wayne Enterprises employee), ha, ha,” he laughed breathlessly, “Are you still going to play hide-and-seek? You’re not still hoping that little bat will come to your rescue, are you? I don’t think killing one of your employees every now and then will threaten you, right?”
His words were illogical and his voice was harsh, making it very unpleasant to listen to.
At least that's what Batman, standing outside the door, thought.
“I knew you’d come, darling.” The clown of this universe looked precisely towards the door. “Very well, Bat…”
He stood up: "I've always been curious, even though we're the same kind of people, why do you..."
Batman shot him directly, breaking one of his legs.
Who's like you?
As the gunshot rang out, Martha the Clown emerged from the ventilation duct, swiftly subdued the Joker gang members, and cut the ropes binding the hostages.
“At least he’s much better looking than you,” the knife danced nimbly on Martha the clown’s fingertips. “I can’t stand this disgusting face.”
"Bang!"
Glass shattered, the wind howled, and Martha the Clown nimbly dodged the incoming boomerang, casually throwing her knife and pinning the clown to the ground.
She threw it with perfect aim; the knife hit her right in the heart.
"Ha! Bullseye!" Martha the Clown turned to "Night Owl." "Do you have anything else to say, sir?"
“You didn’t follow my plan.” “Night Owl” caught the boomerang. “Our cooperation…”
“Cooperate? You never intended to cooperate. I’m going to kill him,” Martha the Joker approached the Joker she had pinned to the ground and placed a foot on his chest. “I told you I would kill him with my own hands, and your plan was to lure him to the window so that he would end up in your hands, sir.”
There's no way to refute that.
“So we’ve never worked together,” Batman said, looking away from the Joker, raising his gun and pointing it at Nite Owl. “I think this is just exploitation. You wanted to exploit us, and we exploited you in return.”
Those two are crazy!
"Night Owl" dodged the bullet.
Martha the Joker tugged at Batman's cape: "Wait a minute, we should go check on them first. This guy's matter isn't urgent yet, at least ask T..."
Before she could finish speaking, a sharp laugh rang out, interrupting her.
"I knew it wouldn't be that easy." Martha the Clown was prepared for this guy to be hard to kill. She raised her foot and stomped hard, breaking several of the clown's ribs.
"Haha ...
Martha the Clown frowned.
This guy doesn't seem to have any intention of going to hell at all.
He even raised his hand and pulled the knife out of his heart.
...Damn it, this guy looks like a cockroach!
Martha the Joker snatched the gun from Batman's hand and tried to blow his head off.
But he is still slowly healing.
This is a monster, a pure monster.
“This method won’t kill him; at least, we don’t have enough time left today to kill him.” Batman crouched down to examine the healing of the wounds. “He’s still slowly recovering.”
"Night Owl" didn't know whether to breathe a sigh of relief or a sigh of relief.
"How could this happen!" Red Hood wailed. "Why can these damned things live so long!"
There was a moment of silence in the room.
“I understand.” Martha the Clown removed her foot from the writhing pile of flesh. “I have a plan, darling.”

The author says: In the original comics, the Joker didn't have the Dionysian factor so early on, but this is the butterfly effect. After all, the Flashpoint butterfly effect even affected Krypton.
