He had been training under his master since he could remember, and later joined the army. Although he had no parents, he had elders who were like parents to him, brothers and sisters who had risked their lives for him, and a family. He always felt that God had been good to him.
Upon reaching adulthood, he dedicated himself to protecting the nation and began organizing his own squad to complete arduous and challenging missions time and time again. At that time, his squad was expected to inherit the title of the strongest weapon in the Dragon Kingdom, and they themselves believed so.
During one operation, they discovered a group of heretics doing heinous things, conducting unknown experiments on pregnant women and infants.
Upon discovering the situation, they immediately reported it to their superiors. The government seemed to take the matter very seriously and quickly ordered them to rescue and eliminate the perpetrators, even sending Master Ye Yan and his group to assist in the operation.

He understood the seriousness of the problem and immediately gathered his former partners to begin the investigation. In the process, they destroyed many of the enemy's experimental sites and obtained a lot of clues.
After integrating all the clues, all the traces eventually pointed to the Dragon Kingdom. He returned to the Dragon Kingdom along with the progress of the event, still hiding as a merchant.
But the other side seemed to be hiding very well, not revealing any clues, except for the time at Imperial University where they obtained a slightly useful lead.
Thinking of this, Ye Yan couldn't help but sigh.
(This chapter simply tells Ye Yan's story, with some foreshadowing.)
