Xie Wei gently patted her head and said in a gentle tone, "Ask if you have any questions. Wasn't that what we said from the beginning?"
"I know, you're not much older than me, don't treat me like a child," Mu Yao said, rubbing her head.
He thought to himself, 'He's still just a kid,' but he didn't dare say it aloud. Xie Wei smiled, said 'okay,' and started looking at the computer again.
Mu Yao glanced at the person next to her. This person spoke in the same gentle and kind manner as her, which reminded her of their first meeting.
She seemed to have never worn those shoes again. It wasn't that she disliked them, but rather that they held a special meaning in them and she cherished them.
'Imperial Capital University...'
Mu Yao glanced at it again, as if she had made up her mind, then sat up straight and started working on the next set of test papers. When she encountered something she didn't know, she would ask Xie Wei directly, clearly entering study mode.
The two stayed in the library until the sun was about to set.
"Since you've been teaching me, I'll treat you to dinner. Let's go," Mu Yao said generously.
"This is great news, let's go!"
There's no need for formalities between the two.
The two arrived at the pedestrian street of No. 1 Middle School. Xie Wei accompanied Mu Yao and they ate snail rice noodles, stinky tofu, ice cream, and finally finished with a cup of milk tea.
"Uncle, are you happy today?" Mu Yao asked Xie Wei on the way back.
Xie Wei glanced at Mu Yao with a puzzled look, but still nodded. Although he hadn't done anything special today, he had still gained something.
Contentment brings happiness.
"That's good," Mu Yao said, seemingly relieved.
