Chen Feng seemed to sense what Xie Wei was about to do and began to feel fear. "No, no! Third Brother, you can't do this!" After saying that, an unknown yellow liquid appeared on his lower body, and Chen Feng fainted.
Seeing Chen Feng unconscious in the yellow liquid, Xie Wei shook his head in disgust. He had wanted to scare Chen Feng again, but he hadn't expected him to be so easily frightened. He turned around and went back into the room.
Su Miaomiao looked worriedly at the door, but smiled happily when she saw Xie Wei return.
"How are you, Miss Su? Can you walk by yourself?" Xie Wei didn't see the change in Su Miaomiao's expression.
"Of course you can, don't you know who I am?" Su Miaomiao said, trying to prove herself. She held onto the bed and her toes just touched the ground when she found that her legs were too weak and her body fell backward uncontrollably.
Su Miaomiao thought she was about to have a close encounter with the floor, and unconsciously closed her eyes.
The cold touch didn't come as Su Miaomiao expected; instead, a wave of warmth washed over her. Su Miaomiao opened her eyes to see what was going on, and upon seeing Xie Wei's face, she realized that it was Xie Wei who had caught her.
Su Miaomiao continued stubbornly, "I fell because I was careless, not because my legs were weak, and I won't feel grateful to you just because you caught me."
Xie Wei scooped her up in his arms, a hint of mockery in his voice, "Miss Su, being arrogant is outdated."
Feeling Xie Wei's broad embrace, Su Miaomiao blushed unconsciously. She wasn't angry at Xie Wei's mockery, but instead said thank you in a voice only Xie Wei could hear.
Xie Wei smiled and said nothing more. He picked up Su Miaomiao and walked out. As he passed Chen Feng, Su Miaomiao spat at Chen Feng.
Xie Wei carried Su Miaomiao to the car, then turned and made a phone call. Once the call connected, he said, "Clean her up and take her to the Chen family's house. The address is..."
The other end replied "yes," and Xie Wei hung up the phone and returned to his car.
