Despite it being the height of summer, Bai Shiying felt a bit cold.
“This is a friend of mine,” Bai Shiying subconsciously tugged at Xie Wei’s sleeve and explained softly to him. She herself didn’t even realize why she was doing this, and the words of explanation just came out of her mouth like a habit.
Bai Shiying immediately realized what had happened, withdrew her hand, and wondered why she had explained herself earlier.
Bai Qianqian had other male friends before, some were former classmates, and some were part-time colleagues. Some of them had ulterior motives, and Xie Wei, as a man, could naturally see through them.
When Bai Qianqian sensed that Xie Wei was in a bad mood, she would tug at Xie Wei's sleeve and gently explain the other person's identity to him.
Feeling the familiar movements and glancing at the little girl's somewhat puzzled expression, Xie Wei's mood instantly brightened, and he walked out of the room.

Zhuge Qing's gaze followed Xie Wei's. He found Xie Wei's face somewhat familiar and was also curious about Xie Wei's presence here.
"Shiying, who is that person?"
Hearing the question from the person opposite her, Bai Shiying had no choice but to put aside her doubts and answer the question.
Zhuge Qing had no doubts. He had gone to great lengths to become Bai Shiying's friend, and she treated her friends differently from ordinary people. However, Zhuge Qing still wanted to ask that person something else.
"Why are you here?" Bai Shiying opened the box of dessert ice cream she had just received.
"Oh, I came to bring you desserts and milk tea. I didn't expect you to have already received them." Zhuge Qing's gaze shifted to the desserts in Bai Shiying's hand.
"But yours is different from ours. Ours is pudding or something, but yours is custom-made ice cream."
Upon hearing Zhuge Qing's words, Bai Shiying suddenly stopped, the spoon she had just put to her mouth. She glanced down at the taro ice cream lying in the spoon, and smiled happily as she thought of the person from earlier.
"I don't know, maybe I got the hidden item."
(It's too cold, my brain isn't working properly, and my hands are sweating while typing.)
