Chapter 2 I don't remember

Jian Yunxi wiped her tears and said, "Grandma, I'm fine. The doctor said I have low blood sugar. I'm well dressed in winter and I didn't fall and get hurt. Don't worry."

Grandma touched the saline bottle under her arm again and said, "It's cold. I'll go get you another bottle of hot water. You wait here for grandma."

Jian Yunxi looked at her grandmother's back, tears unconsciously filled her eyes again. She was really useless, and yet she was crying.

She thought again about her previous complaints about her grandmother for urging her to get married, which was really inappropriate.

Jian Yunxi's grandfather was quite influential in their small county. After the reform and opening up, he seized the opportunity and opened a paint factory. He drove a donkey to deliver goods every day. Later, he went to the south, discovered new business opportunities, and opened a rare earth factory in the town. Jian Yunxi didn't know what rare earths were. When she was in school, she only knew that they were rare resources of the country. She didn't know anything more.

So her grandfather was the first millionaire in the town, and then he quickly went to the county town to buy a commercial house. Jian Yunxi's parents and uncle and aunt stayed in the town to look after the rare earth factory.

As far as Jian Yunxi can remember, his family had never had a hard time. His parents used to work in a spinning mill, but after being laid off, they both went to work in his grandfather's factory.

Jian Yunxi was raised by his grandmother since he was a child. In order to keep his job in the spinning mill, his mother weaned Jian Yunxi when she was eight months old and left her in her hometown. It can be said that Jian Yunxi and his grandmother had a very deep relationship, so after working in his previous life, Jian Yunxi had been living in his grandparents' commercial housing. He couldn't refuse whether his grandmother urged him to get married or asked him to go on blind dates.

While she was deep in thought, she saw Father Jane helping Mother Jane come over. Mother also touched her head like a grandmother, holding her hand and looking at her again and again. "Xixi, it's all Mom's fault. You overslept. Next time I'll set a few more alarms."

Jian Yunxi was also very embarrassed. After all, it had been four years in college and two years since she graduated, and she hadn’t been so close to her mother for a long time.

While the mother and daughter were talking, the grandmother came over with a bottle of hot water and salt water. After hearing that Father Jian asked for leave for Jian Yunxi, the old lady hurriedly said, "Then let Yunxi come back to the county with me. I will give my eldest granddaughter a good rest. This must be because she is too tired from studying."

Jian Yunxi was also speechless. She replied, "Grandma, I didn't eat breakfast this morning, which caused hypoglycemia. You can go home now and don't worry."

The old lady was still worried, so she followed the family of three back home. She bought a hen on the way home, saying she would make soup for her eldest granddaughter.

"Xixi, go lie down on the bed for a while. Your dad and I will go check on the factory. Your grandma will go make some soup for you."

After saying that, Comrade Jian Feng and Ms. Li Meiling left in a hurry. It was a busy time in the factory and they couldn't waste any time.

Jian Yunxi stood in her yard and looked blankly, because this was her hometown in her memory. When she was in college, her parents had already built a three-story building in the town. When she counted, she realized that she hadn't been back here for six years.

She has lived here for 18 years, and every blade of grass, every brick and every tile here carries her full of memories. She opened the bedroom door, looked at the posters of various stars on the wall, and covered her head. She forgot that she was once a star-chasing girl.
