Chapter 109 Don't worry, I won't make trouble for you
When Fu Linghe walked out of the branch building holding Yun Zheng's hand, night had already fallen quietly.
The city’s neon lights lit up one after another, the shops on both sides of the street were brightly lit, pedestrians were bustling about, and the air was filled with a faint scent of fireworks.
The tall buildings in the distance sparkled brightly in the night, illuminating the entire city.
Yun Zheng stood by the road, looking up at the bustling night scene, and couldn't help but sigh, "It's so beautiful here."
Fu Linghe turned his head to look at her, with a hint of smile in his eyes, "Do you like it?"
Yun Zheng nodded, her eyes full of joy, "I like it. I haven't seen such a lively night scene in a long time."
Fu Linghe squeezed her hand gently, and said softly, "Then let's go for a walk. It's not far from home anyway."
Yun Zheng responded with a smile, letting him hold her hand and walk slowly along the street.
The night wind blew gently, bringing a hint of coolness, but not biting.
The shop windows on both sides of the street are filled with all kinds of goods, and the lights are reflected on the glass, reflecting colorful light.
Yun Zheng looked around curiously as she walked, and from time to time she would share her little discoveries with Fu Linghe.
Fu Linghe listened patiently, occasionally responding, his eyes full of doting.
The couple walked like a couple in love, and before they knew it, they had walked quite a distance.
Fu Linghe stopped and pointed to a tall building not far ahead, "We're almost home."
Yun Zheng looked in the direction of his finger and saw a modern high-rise building standing in front of her. The facade used a large area of glass curtain wall, which looked particularly dazzling in the night.
She tilted her head to look at him, a hint of surprise in her tone, "Our family?"
Fu Linghe nodded and took her into the building. "Well, this is my apartment in Country A. I rarely come here, but it's always taken care of."
The two took the elevator directly to the top floor. The moment the elevator door opened, Yun Zheng was stunned by the scene before her.
The spacious entrance is covered with soft carpet, with several simple modern art paintings hanging on the wall. The lighting is soft and warm, giving people a warm and comfortable feeling.
Fu Linghe took her hand and walked into the living room. Yun Zheng then realized that the decoration style of the entire apartment was simple and modern, with gray and white as the main colors, and some dark furniture and metal elements, which made it look fashionable and stylish.
Outside the large floor-to-ceiling windows is the night view of the city, with brilliant lights, like a flowing painting.
"Do you like it?" Fu Linghe asked in a low voice.
Yun Zheng nodded, her eyes full of surprise.
She trotted to the French window and looked out at the night view. "I like it. It's so beautiful here."
Fu Linghe smiled and reached out to rub the top of her head, "As long as you like it."
A middle-aged maid in a neat uniform came over and said respectfully, "Sir, Madam, dinner is ready."
Fu Linghe nodded and walked towards the restaurant with Yun Zheng.
The table was filled with exquisite dishes, the aroma of which whetted one's appetite.
Yun Zheng looked at the table full of delicious food and couldn't help but sigh, "There are so many dishes, can the two of us finish them all?"
Fu Linghe chuckled and pulled out a chair for her to sit down. "It doesn't matter if you can't finish it. You can pack it up and feed it to stray dogs. It won't be wasted."
After Yun Zheng sat down, Fu Linghe personally poured her a bowl of soup and handed it to her, "Drink some soup first to warm your stomach."
Yun Zheng took the bowl of soup, lowered her head and took a sip. The rich soup melted in her mouth, and the warmth reached her heart.
She looked up at Fu Linghe, with some emotion in her eyes, "Thank you, Fu Linghe."
Fu Linghe raised his eyebrows, his tone teasing, "Thank me for what?"
Yun Zheng pursed her lips and replied truthfully, "Thank you for bringing me here and preparing so much."
Fu Linghe reached out and held her hand, his tone gentle, "Silly girl, you are my wife, it is my duty to treat you well."
Yun Zheng felt warm in her heart, lowered her head and continued to drink the soup, but a smile unconsciously appeared on the corner of her mouth.
After dinner, Fu Linghe took Yun Zheng's hand and led her through the spacious living room to the bedroom area.
The lighting in the corridor is soft and warm, and there are several art paintings hanging on the walls, which are simple yet stylish.
Yun Zheng looked around curiously as she walked.
When they reached the door of a bedroom, Fu Linghe stopped, pushed the door open, and stepped aside to let Yun Zheng go in first.
The layout of the room continues the simple and modern style, with gray and white bedding and dark gray carpet, which is both comfortable and high-end.
Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows is the night view of the city, with bright lights, like a flowing painting.
"This is your room." Fu Linghe whispered, with a hint of tenderness in his tone, "My room is next door. Call me if you need anything."
Yun Zheng nodded, walked into the room, looked around, and felt a sense of inexplicable loss in her heart.
She pursed her lips, suppressed the little emotion in her heart, turned around and smiled at Fu Linghe, "Okay, you should rest early too."
Fu Linghe looked at her, a smile flashed in his eyes, and nodded, "Well, good night."
After saying that, he turned and left the room, closing the door gently.
Yun Zheng stood in the room, listening to the footsteps outside the door gradually fading away, feeling inexplicably empty in her heart.
She had just walked to the bed and sat down when she suddenly heard a slight noise coming from outside the door, and then the door was gently pushed open a crack.
Fu Linghe stuck his head out, holding a quilt in his arms, with an innocent expression on his face, "Zheng Zheng, I can't sleep."
Yun Zheng was stunned for a moment, then felt a little embarrassed: "You...what are you doing?"
Fu Linghe walked into the room and closed the door, his tone a little aggrieved, "I can't sleep alone. The room is too quiet. I always feel like something is missing."
Yun Zheng felt amused when she saw him like this. She put on a serious face and said, "You're such a grown-up, and you're still afraid of sleeping alone?"
Fu Linghe walked up to her, looked down at her, with a hint of teasing in his eyes, "I'm not afraid, I just miss you."
Yun Zheng's face instantly turned red, and she reached out and pushed him, "You... stop it!"
Fu Linghe took her hand and pulled her into his arms, lowering his head and whispering in her ear, "I'm not making a fuss. I really miss you. You were drunk last night and held me tightly. How could you bear to let me sleep alone tonight?"
Yun Zheng was embarrassed and annoyed by his teasing. Her face turned red like a ripe apple. She lowered her head and said coquettishly, "You... don't mention what happened last night!"
Fu Linghe chuckled, let go of her, and placed the quilt in his arms on the bed. His tone was a bit rogue, "Anyway, I don't care. I'm going to sleep here tonight."
Yun Zheng looked at his shameless appearance and felt helpless and sweet at the same time.
She pursed her lips and said deliberately, "Then you sleep on the floor and I'll sleep on the bed."
Fu Linghe raised his eyebrows, with a hint of mischief in his eyes: "Madam, are you willing to let me sleep on the floor?"
Yun Zheng felt a little guilty when he looked at her, so she turned her head away and said, "Who told you to squeeze in..."
Fu Linghe chuckled, reached out and pulled her into his arms, bent down and kissed the top of her head, "Okay, I won't tease you anymore. Let's sleep in the bed together, I promise not to make trouble for you."
Yun Zheng leaned in his arms, listening to his steady heartbeat, and felt an inexplicable sense of peace in her heart.
She nodded slightly and whispered, "Then...then you better be honest."
