Chapter 330 It would be bad if those shameless people from the Mohist School continued to bother Zheng Zheng!
Mo Chenfeng looked at his wife's red eyes, gently wiped the tears from her cheeks with his fingertips, and said in a low and gentle voice, "Okay, I'll take you to see her. But you have to promise me that no matter what happens, you must control your emotions."
Ning Zhi nodded vigorously, her fingers tightly gripping his sleeves.
"We agreed in advance that we can only watch from a distance and not let her see us."
Mo Chenfeng felt that he should discuss it with his wife first, otherwise it would be bad if she lost control of her emotions and ran to Yun Zheng when they got to the hospital.
"I know. I promise I'll just watch from a distance and won't disturb her."
Ning Zhi made repeated promises, raised three fingers, and swore to the sky!
"It's getting late today, let's go there with Shi An tomorrow morning."
Mo Chenfeng has not met Yun Zheng yet, and he was the only one who peeked at her.
Ning Zhi nodded gently. Although she really wanted to see her precious daughter, she had come this far over the years, so a few hours wouldn't make a difference.
"Oh, right." She seemed to have suddenly thought of something. She stared at Mo Chenfeng's face, and even her voice unconsciously rose a few notes. "What medicine did you give Aunt Wu today?"
Mo Chenfeng didn't expect that Ning Zhi observed so carefully and didn't hide it from her.
"Zheng Zheng hasn't had much of an appetite these past few days, so I asked the doctor to prepare some nutritional supplements for her and had Aunt Wu secretly mix them into her water."
"Otherwise, she definitely wouldn't have been able to hold on until Fu Linghe woke up." Mo Chenfeng looked at Ning Zhi's worried expression and quickly added, "Don't worry, I had this medicine specially made by a doctor at the research institute. It has absolutely no side effects."
Ning Zhi felt relieved after hearing this.
On the other side, Mohist Private Hospital.
Yun Zheng was on a video call with her mother-in-law.
"Zheng Zheng, didn't you get enough rest? Why do you look so bad?" Shen Lanshu looked at her daughter-in-law's pale face, feeling distressed.
Yun Zheng shook her head slightly and forced a smile, "I'm fine, Mom."
"Zheng Zheng, I've already made arrangements with your grandparents. Mom will come over to accompany you tomorrow."
In fact, Shen Lanshu had thought about coming here when Yun Zheng said that she had found Fu Linghe.
But if they all came here at once, the two elderly people at home would definitely think too much.
She had finally settled the two elderly people down these two days and couldn't wait to come over.
Firstly, Fu Linghe is his biological son, who is now in a coma. Secondly, she is really worried about Yun Zheng being alone in Country A.
If those shameless people from the Mo family bothered her daughter-in-law again, how could she bear it alone?
"Mom, grandpa and grandma probably don't know about Ling He's accident yet," Yun Zheng looked at her mother-in-law nervously and asked softly.
Fu Linghe is already like this, the two old men can't fall down again.
Shen Lanshu shook her head slightly, “I don’t know yet, but I probably guessed that something happened.”
The old man and the old lady were such smart people. When they both disappeared at the engagement party, they naturally guessed what had happened.
"Zheng Zheng, I'm taking a flight tomorrow morning and will arrive at your place around noon the day after tomorrow. Is there anything you need me to bring to you?"
Yun Zheng shook her head gently, her voice gentle but a little tired, "Mom, I have everything I need here, just be careful on the road."
Shen Lanshu sighed, her eyes carefully examining Yun Zheng's thin face through the screen. "Child, you always report good news but not bad news. How is Ling He now? What did the doctor say?"
Speaking of Fu Linghe, Yun Zheng's fingertips tightened slightly, clutching the corner of the quilt beside the bed, and her voice lowered a few degrees, "It's still the same, but he looks much better these past two days."
Shen Lanshu's eyes reddened, and she quickly turned her face away and wiped the corners of her eyes, "Okay, then Mom won't disturb your rest, go to bed quickly."
Yun Zheng looked at Shen Lanshu, whose face was full of worry in the video, nodded and hung up the phone.
Yun Zheng looked at Fu Linghe quietly.
The only sound in the ward was the regular ticking of medical equipment.
The moonlight shone through the gaps in the curtains onto his outline, casting a soft silver glow on his pale face.
She reached out and gently stroked his handsome brow, her fingertips tracing his familiar outline.
These days, doctors have removed most of the monitoring equipment.
He no longer looked like a seriously ill patient, but rather seemed to be falling into a normal sleep.
"Fu Linghe..." She called his name softly, her voice so soft as if she was afraid of disturbing something.
After a long time, Yun Zheng lifted a corner of the quilt and lay down beside him carefully.
The familiar scent of cedar mixed with a faint smell of disinfectant lingered at the tip of her nose. She gently pressed her face against his shoulder, feeling the faint rise and fall of his chest.
It was the only way she could sleep these days.
In a trance, she seemed to feel his fingers move slightly.
Yun Zheng suddenly opened her eyes, but found that everything was normal. Maybe she was too sensitive these days.
She smiled wryly and shook her head, burying her face deeper into the crook of his neck.
"How long are you going to sleep?" she murmured, her voice filled with weariness. "Mom will be here tomorrow. If you don't wake up, she'll be worried..."
Outside the window, a leaf gently tapped against the glass, as if in response.
Yun Zheng's eyelids gradually became heavy. In his familiar breath, the nerves that had been tense for these days finally slowly relaxed.
——
The next day.
When the first ray of sunlight in the morning shone into the ward through the gauze curtains, Yun Zheng woke up in a familiar embrace.
She blinked her sleepy eyes and felt a little dazed for a moment.
Fu Linghe's arm was firmly placed under her neck, and his body temperature came through her hospital gown, steady and warm.
For a moment, she almost thought that everything had returned to the way it was in Tanxiyuan.
"Good morning." She said softly, her voice hoarse from waking up.
But there was no response.
Only the regular beeping of the ECG monitor reminded her of reality.
Yun Zheng raised her head slightly and saw Fu Linghe's sleeping face right in front of her.
His thick eyelashes cast a small shadow under his eyelids, and his breathing was even and long.
She reached out and gently brushed away a strand of black hair that had fallen on his forehead, her fingertips lingering on his angular features.
"You are still so beautiful." She muttered softly, with the corners of her mouth rising unconsciously.
There were a few bird calls outside the window, and Yun Zheng realized that she had unknowingly snuggled into his arms again last night.
She should have slept farther away from him, but every time she lay next to him, the long-lost sense of security would always make her let down her guard and fall into a deep sleep.
She carefully propped herself up, sat cross-legged on the bed, and just looked at him quietly.
The sunlight gradually grew brighter, casting a healthy hue on his pale skin.
Yun Zheng reached out and stroked his brow bone, nose bridge, and finally stopped at his slightly dry lips.
"The doctor says your condition is improving," she whispered, as if afraid to disturb someone. "All indicators are stabilizing, but... you still need a little time. You will definitely wake up, right?"
The ward was so quiet that you could hear the sound of medicine dripping from the IV tube.
Yun Zheng leaned down, her hair falling on the side of Fu Linghe's face.
She closed her eyes and gently kissed his lips, just like the good morning kiss they had shared countless mornings in the past.
The kiss was light and short, but it made Yun Zheng's eyes slightly warm.
When she raised her head, a tear fell uncontrollably on Fu Linghe's cheek.
"I'm sorry," she hurriedly wiped away the tear with her hand, "I didn't mean to do that. You will definitely wake up. I believe you."
Yun Zheng took a deep breath and forced herself to smile.
She threw back the quilt, got out of bed quietly, and began her daily routine.
She skillfully took out a razor and hot towel from the bedside table and wiped Fu Linghe's face and shaved him, just like she had done every day for the past week.
The warm, wet towel gently wiped his forehead and cheeks, as gentle as if treating a fragile treasure.
"Mom's coming today," she whispered as she worked. "She'll definitely be scared by you like this. So you have to get better soon and don't let her worry too long, okay?"
After shaving, Yun Zheng looked at Fu Linghe's clean and refreshed face with satisfaction.
She picked up the comb and carefully combed his somewhat messy black hair, combing it into the hairstyle he usually liked.
"Look, you're still so handsome." She said with a smile, a hint of sob in her voice.
After doing all this, Yun Zheng began to clean up the ward.
She put the half-read book last night back on the bedside table, made up the quilt, and opened the window to let in fresh air.
In fact, the nurse does these things every day, but Yun Zheng doesn't want to be idle because once she is idle, she will start to have random thoughts.
She could only force herself to do something to divert her attention.
The winter wind blew into the ward with the fragrance of flowers, and the curtains fluttered gently.
Yun Zheng returned to the bedside and held Fu Linghe's hand.
His palm was large and warm, with distinct knuckles, but it was now spread out weakly, no longer able to wrap her entire hand as easily as before.
"Do you remember the first time we met?" she asked softly, her thumb gently stroking the back of his hand. "You said I slept with you and that you wanted me to be responsible for you... and that you had to marry me."
Yun Zheng smiled as she recalled the past, raising his hand to her lips and kissing it gently.
"Actually, I thought you and I were just playing around. At that time, I didn't really think about spending my whole life with you... because you were so dazzling, I wasn't worthy of you."
There was a gentle knock on the ward door, and Aunt Wu walked in with breakfast.
"Miss Yun, you're awake." Aunt Wu smiled kindly and placed the tray on the table. "I brought you hot milk and your favorite blueberry muffins."
"Thank you, Auntie Wu." Yun Zheng quickly wiped away the tears from her eyes, stood up, and took the tray. "You came really early today."
Wu Ma's gaze lingered on Fu Linghe for a moment, a complex emotion flashing through her eyes. "Mr. Fu looks well today."
Yun Zheng nodded and sipped the hot milk.
The temperature of the milk was just right, and the warmth flowed down my throat into my stomach, dispelling some of the early morning chill.
When Wu Ma saw Yun Zheng started to eat breakfast, she turned around and tidied up the room.
"Miss Yun, what would you like to eat for lunch? I'll go buy some groceries." She said to Yun Zheng while packing.
"Aunt Wu, I want to drink lotus root and pork ribs soup." Although Yun Zheng still had no appetite, she knew that she couldn't just not eat anything.
Aunt Wu nodded in response and picked up the garbage in the ward and put it into a bag.
"Then Miss Yun, after you finish your breakfast, let me come back and clean up. I'll go buy some fresh pork ribs to make soup for you."
Yun Zheng smiled at her and said, "Thank you for your hard work, Aunt Wu."
As the ward door closed gently, Yun Zheng finished her breakfast and tidied up briefly before sitting back down beside Fu Linghe's bed.
She picked up the water cup on the bedside table and carefully wet Fu Linghe's lips with a cotton swab.
The doctor said that even unconscious patients need to keep their mouths moist.
"Fu Linghe, how do you feel today?" She asked softly, stroking his hair with her fingers. "You've been lying down for so long, you must be tired."
The only sound in the ward that responded to her was the regular ticking of the instruments.
In fact, she knew that she would not get an answer from him, but she still liked to chatter in his ear.
What if he could really hear it?
Yun Zheng sighed and was about to get up to pour some water when she suddenly heard footsteps outside the door, followed by a gentle knock on the door.
"Come in." She thought it was the doctor coming to check on her, and said without raising her head.
