Chapter 171 Experiencing a New Body

Chapter 171 Experiencing a New Body

"Jintong, Hanshe needs someone to take care of her. We'll cook you something delicious when we get back, okay?" Shu Ning said earnestly, holding Jintong's hand.

"What delicious food?" As soon as Jin Tong heard about the food, his eyes, which had been dim, instantly lit up again.

"You'll see when we get back. I guarantee you've never had this before," Shu Ning said mysteriously.

"Okay, then I'll wait for your good news!" Jin Tong hugged her, buried his head in her neck, and whispered, "You must come back soon."

"Okay, I promise you." Shu Ning gently patted his back.

After everyone had finished eating, Shu Ning stored the meat and mushroom soup that Xiao Chong had grilled into her spatial storage, and watched as Mo Li was clearing away the dishes and chopsticks, preparing to take them to the river to wash.

“Mo Li, I’ll go with you,” Shu Ning said.

She felt like she hadn't taken a shower in a long time, so she went with Mo Li.

Mo Li stopped and waited for Shu Ning to catch up. She glanced at the other two behind her. Xiao Chong had already gone back, and Jin Tong had gone inside to see Han She.

The two then went to the riverbank together, and by the time they finished washing the dishes, the sun had already set.

"Mo Li, you go back first. I need to take a shower before I go back." Shu Ning looked at Mo Li, who was waiting for him with the washed pots and pans.

Mo Li was taken aback for a moment, then said, "You've gotten bolder now, huh? You even dare to take a shower alone at night."

He then put down the pot and walked towards her.

"No..." Shu Ning looked at him shyly, and was about to say something when he pulled her a little upstream.

Then he simply picked her up and carried her into the river step by step.

When she was halfway up his body, he gently placed her into the water.

Although it was half of Mo Li's body, Shu Ning could easily cover her chest by squatting down slightly.

"Let's wash here," Mo Li said, taking off her animal-patterned clothes.

Seeing that Shu Ning was standing still, he leaned closer to her and asked, "What's wrong? Who was it that said they wanted to take a shower?"

"Mo...Mo Li, I wanted to wash by myself."

Shu Ning looked at Mo Li's body, which was soaked with water and reflected the white light under the moonlight, rising and falling with her breath, which reminded her of the indescribable scene between the two of them that night.

Mo Li noticed her reaction, his thin lips slightly raised, and he said in a deep voice, "Alright, what are you thinking about in your little head again? Go wash up, you'll catch a cold if you soak in the river for too long at night."

"Mmm." Shu Ning nodded, then took out her bathing tools and began to scrub.

Mo Li turned around and saw what was in her hand, and then she began to smell a faint fragrance, a very special fragrance.

He followed the scent closer to her, looked at the white bubbles around her, scooped up a bubble with one hand, and asked in confusion, "What is this?"

"This is liquid soap, for bathing. It washes away sweat and dirt after you wash," Shu Ning said as she rubbed the soap.

Mo Li placed her fingers on her shoulder and stroked it; it was indeed different from the touch before.

“I’ve smelled some of this scent before; it’s a mixture of several plants.” Mo Li leaned closer to her shoulder and sniffed.

"Really?" Shu Ning looked at him excitedly.

"Hmm," Mo Li replied thoughtfully.

Then he took the bath scrubber from her hand and began to scrub her back.

"Is it ready?" Mo Li asked.

Shu Ning nodded and replied, "Okay."

Mo Li then picked her up and carried her into his cave.

"Why don't you sleep at my place tonight?" Mo Li said in a low voice, lowering his head and raising his arms around her to bring her closer to him.

“Okay…” Shu Ning finished speaking and looked at him with pursed lips, “Then Han She…”

"Don't worry, his men will take good care of him," Mo Li said, quickening her pace.

To prevent herself from falling, Shu Ning tightened her grip on his arms.

Once inside the cave, Mo Li gently laid her down.

He then leaned down to look at her, his thin lips slightly upturned, and said in a hoarse voice, "It smells very good."

Then he kissed her.

A moment later, he loosened his grip slightly, his golden vertical pupils admiring the blush that had risen on her face from his kiss.

"Ningning, do you know? I..." He paused, his breathing becoming deep.

"What's wrong?" Ningning asked, her eyes filled with worry as she saw that he seemed to have something difficult to say.

Seeing the worry in Shu Ning's eyes, Mo Li chuckled and comforted her, "It's alright."

After a moment, she spoke again, "In that illusion, it felt like I lived a whole life without you."

After speaking, her eyes welled up with tears, and her breathing became heavier.

“Mo Li…” Shu Ning reached out and wiped the corner of his eye, “Those are all illusions, not real.”

Mo Li shook her head.

He knew very well that he had already disappeared in that illusion when he was in the form of a dragon.

After calming himself down, his golden vertical pupils suddenly looked into her eyes, a burning, hungry fire within them. "Ningning, would you like to experience your beast husband's 'new body'?"

"Huh?" Before Shu Ning could react, he...

Then another series of lingering, melodious sounds came from inside the cave.

The next morning—

As soon as Shu Ning woke up, she saw that Xiao Chong had already put the food in the Mo Li Cave.

At this moment, he was observing the various "poisonous creatures" inside the Ink Glass Cave.

"Xiao Chong, so early..." Shu Ning said, propping herself up.

After hearing that Shu Ning had woken up, Xiao Chong sat down by the bed and looked at her. "Ning Ning, can your body handle it?"

"Huh?" Upon hearing Xiao Chong's words, Shu Ning instantly realized what he had said.

She burrowed under the covers, peeking out half her head, and looked at Xiao Chong and Mo Li who had just walked over.

Two handsome men sat on the edge of the bed, watching her.

One of them had just done something with her last night...

"Ningning probably needs to lie down for a while longer," Mo Li said to Xiao Chong beside her.

"It's alright, no rush, let Ningning sleep a little longer," Xiao Chong said gently with a smile.

"No need, no need." Shu Ning suddenly sat up from under the covers, then realized she wasn't dressed yet and quickly crawled back under the covers.

At this moment, Mo Li brought her a new dress. "Ningning, wear this."

"Mmm." Shu Ning stretched her hand out from under the covers.

At this moment, Mo Li pulled her up.

Just as Shu Ning was about to say something, she heard Mo Li's voice: "Xiao Chong has already gone out, don't worry."

Shu Ning felt a little strange. She didn't mean to reject Xiao Chong, but she felt that it was fine with one person around, but if there was another one, it would feel awkward.

Then Mo Li helped her put it on and tied the waist rope. Seeing that it fit Shu Ning perfectly, he said with satisfaction, "Not bad."

"Here, eat this." Mo Li handed the meat to Shu Ning.

"good."

After finishing their meal, the three of them set off towards the Eagle Clan.

Since it was still land, Xiao Chong led the two of them there.

Shu Ning remembered that she had forgotten to check the encyclopedia last night, so she asked, "Xiao Chong, Mo Li, do you know where the Eagle Clan is?"

"I know, don't worry, Ningning," Xiao Chong said.

“I’ve never been to the Eagle Clan, but I know their general location,” Mo Li said, recalling her past experiences with the Jiao Clan when she was with them.

"That's good," Shu Ning said.

She was used to consulting encyclopedias whenever she went on a long trip or did a task, but she didn't this time, which made her a little worried.
