Chapter 11 Witnessing Death

You should know that an adult orc can easily fight with two ordinary beasts and even kill one of them.

Not to mention that those who came here were the best of their tribe.

As the wild beasts in the tribe were killed or driven away by the returning orcs, the huge beast in front of them gradually began to retreat.

It pretended to be vulnerable, withstood two attacks, and then ran outside.

Just when Xia and the other three orcs breathed a sigh of relief and were about to go and clean up the other beasts, Yang ran out directly after the beasts.

Xia had no time to stop it.

"Li, He, you two go get Yang back, and the other one will go with me to clean up the beasts in the tribe."

When Xuan Congxia and the others arrived, they ran straight to Chi Ye's side. Seeing Chi Ye covered in blood and lifeless, they let out a sad whimper from their throat.

He rubbed his head against Chiye hoping he would wake up, but he was destined to be disappointed.

Suddenly he felt a breath ruffling his beard.

He looked up at An An in Chi Ye's arms. He was still breathing! An An was still breathing.

He pulled An An out of Chi Ye's arms. Chi Ye was holding her tightly, and he didn't want to hurt Chi Ye's body. It took him some effort to get An An out.

However, An An's breath was very weak and could stop at any time. He had a serious impact injury on his head and there were deep teeth marks on his back from the beast that were so deep that the bone could be seen.

Xuan didn't know what to do. He kept licking An An's wound and praying that An An could survive.

After a long time, the wild beasts in the tribe were gradually cleared out, and the orcs roared that the tribe was safe, and asked the orcs responsible for guarding the hiding place to bring out the hiding tribesmen.

But Xuan found that An An's breath was getting weaker and weaker, and his tears wet the hair on his face. He squatted there helplessly and wailed.

When Xia arrived with Qiu Ye and Lie, An An's breath was already barely audible. Xuan used his front legs to circle An An, and leaned his head gently against An An's body, whimpering.

In the end, An An died in Qiu Ye's arms. Xia had a blank expression on his face, but his nails dug deep into the flesh, and his palms stained with blood, betrayed his emotions.

And Xuan's younger brother, the one who likes to follow him and call him brother since he could speak.

A younger brother who likes to hug his neck and act coquettishly.

A younger brother who loves to ride on his back and follow him around the tribe.

there is none left.

Qiuye fainted directly, and Lie lay on Chiye's chest and wailed until he fainted.

When Li Hehe brought Yang back, it was already late at night.

They brought the unconscious Yang to Xia's home

They said that they chased Yang out and encountered other wild beasts blocking the road. When they dealt with the beasts and went to chase him again, they could no longer see Yang.

When they found Yang, one of his legs was broken and he was being pinned down by the shadow beast, which had a deep scar on its face that was visible to the bone.

Just when the shadow beast was about to kill Yang, they arrived. The shadow beast was afraid that someone was following it, so it ran into the depths of the jungle without killing Yang.

Yang was seriously injured and fell to the ground with one leg broken. He lay on the ground but did not forget to crawl in the direction the shadow beast ran away.

They immediately ran over and tried to forcibly bring him back to the tribe. During the process, Yang struggled to chase the shadow beast until he was exhausted and fainted.

After returning, everyone saw that Yang was so badly injured that they all thought he would not survive.

But Chiye is dead, Xia and Qiuye also lost An'an, they can't and are unwilling to give up Yang.

Xia presided over the reconstruction of the tribe every day, directing the tribesmen to deal with the corpses of wild animals and the bodies of the dead tribesmen. He returned home very late every day, and the first thing he did when he got home was to see Yang Helie.

Qiu Ye forced herself to cheer up and stayed at home with Xuan and Lie to take care of Yang. Yang was still unconscious. Qiu Ye ground the meat into minced meat and mixed it with broth and carefully fed it to Yang. Xia turned into a beast every night to lick Yang's wounds to disinfect them. The best food in the house was given priority to be made into minced meat and broth for Yang.

Yang almost lost his breath several times during the process.

Five days, Yang was in a coma for a full five days. The old people who were still alive in the tribe said that with such a serious injury, Yang would usually die in three days at most. Now it has been five days, and he has survived several dangers. With the orcs' recovery ability, he might be able to survive.

Finally, on the seventh day, Yang woke up. The elders said that Yang was obsessed with not wanting to die, so he managed to survive.

Xia thought that Yang would collapse and vent his anger after waking up, so he sent an orc to guard his house and prevent Yang from hurting himself or others when necessary.

However, after waking up, Yang became very quiet, completely different from the confident and flamboyant first warrior of the tribe. It was as if all his energy and spirit had disappeared overnight, and he became incredibly obedient.

But it was all an illusion. Just when Xia relaxed his vigilance and thought that Yang would not cause any trouble, Yang ran away, avoiding the patrolling orcs and ran into the forest. He wanted to find the shadow beast.

In the end, Xia personally led people to capture him.

Yang struggled like crazy, trying to break free and run away, but Xia tied him up with vines.

Xia brought Lie to him and told him.

"Looking for revenge on Shadow Beast? Sure! But take a good look at this child, yours and Chiye's child. If you die, what will happen to Lie?"

"The tribe will raise children who have lost their parents free of charge, but you should know that even if the tribe raises them, there is a huge difference between children with parents and those without."

"Even if Qiuye and I are willing to adopt him, don't forget that Qiuye has always been in poor health. We've lost An'an and I, and his health is worse than before. How can he take care of two little orcs when the time comes?"
