Anunu handed the remaining half of the hamburger to the child in front of her.
The little girl leaned over, sniffed the hamburger, and then snatched it from her hand, stuffing it into her mouth.
Anunu squatted down beside her and watched her eat. After the little girl finished eating quickly, she looked up at her, then turned and ran away.
"You've already left?"
Anunu watched her disappearing figure and murmured, "There's also fried chicken leg and fries."
"Xiao Qi, what are you doing outside?"
Karina picked up her food but didn't see Anunu. After searching around, she found her squatting by the door.
“It’s cold outside, let’s go inside.” She led Anunu inside, and seeing a table full of McDonald’s, Anunu quickly forgot about the little incident that had just happened.
Halfway through her meal, Anunu saw the little girl from before lying outside watching her again.
The two stared at each other for a while, and Anunu noticed that she was staring at the fried chicken leg in her hand.
Karina also noticed the little girl. She saw that the little girl's clothes were tattered and dirty, and she was barefoot in the cold weather.
Children like this are rare in Beijing; if someone saw them, they would immediately call the police and have them taken away.
Then she noticed that the little girl's eyes were different from ordinary people's; she had vertical pupils.
She is not human.
Karina immediately stood up and tried to walk towards her, but as soon as she moved, the little girl turned and ran away, disappearing in the blink of an eye.
Even adult non-humans would normally fear Karina's aura, let alone a child.
Karina took out her phone and immediately reported it to the Special Administration Bureau.
After the two finished eating, they prepared to go home. As soon as Karina drove the car out of the underground parking garage, Anunu leaned against the car window and said, "She's there."
Karina looked in the direction Anunu had pointed, and there was a little girl squatting by a flower bed watching them.
Just as she was thinking of parking the car on the side of the road, Anunu unbuckled her seatbelt, took a bag of potato chips from the car, and said, "I'm going to check on her."
She wanted to say no, the child was too young to control his form, and she was afraid he would hurt Anunu.
Anunu patted the car window, blinked at her, and gestured for her to open the door.
Karina thought for a moment, then opened the car door. "Be careful."
She followed closely behind Anunu, ready to rescue her if things went wrong.
She stayed in the car, watching Anunu hand snacks to the child.
The little girl glanced at her, took the potato chips, and saw Anunu talking to her, while the little girl looked at her with a confused expression.
Karina thought to herself that Anunu couldn't even speak a complete sentence in Nanska, so the little girl probably couldn't understand what she was saying either.
"Have you arrived yet? Hurry up," Karina urged the Special Administration personnel as she opened her phone.
Suddenly, the little girl grabbed Anunu and ran off, and Karina quickly got out of the car and chased after her.
The little girl was incredibly fast; she pulled Anunu along, and Anunu was able to keep up.
They were incredibly fast. Karina chased them all the way to the subway station. The little girl, pulling Anunu along, nimbly squeezed through the crowd and jumped right past the security checkpoint, eliciting gasps from the crowd.
Security personnel tried to stop them, but they disappeared in the blink of an eye. By the time Karina caught up, the little girl and Anunu had just entered the subway that was about to close.
Karina could only watch helplessly as the subway drove past her.
She quickly memorized the subway route and called Hicks and several of her teammates.
In the subway, a dirty little girl and Anunu squatted in a corner.
Someone glanced at them, and the little girl tugged at Anunu's hat.
"Where are we going?" Anunu asked the little girl.
The little girl couldn't understand what Anunu was saying. She said to Anunu, "I'll take you to a safe place. Can you understand me?"
Anunu couldn't understand, but she remembered that she had a cell phone in her small handbag.
Hicks taught her how to use it; it has translation software.
She opened a translation app and began communicating with the little girl, speaking to her back and forth.
"May I have your name?"
"spark."
"And you?"
"Anunu".
Xinghuo pulled Anunu's hand over and examined it closely. She saw that her hand was fair and tender, and she couldn't make out any shape. "I am Little Wolf, what are you?"
Anunu didn't understand what Spark meant. "I am Anunu."
Xinghuo showed her her hands, "Look, like this."
Anunu looked confused and shook her head. "I don't have any claws."
"Whose children are these? Why don't we see any adults?"
The subway was crowded, and someone noticed two children squatting in the corner. Seeing that there was no adult watching over them, a kind person went up to them and asked, "Little friends, where are your parents?"
Anunu turned her head and saw people gathering around, speaking in a language she couldn't understand, and looked at Xinghuo.
Xinghuo was speaking the same language as them, so Xinghuo should be able to understand.
"Ignore them," Xinghuo whispered in her ear. "They're all bad people; they'll arrest you and lock you up."
Anunu nodded. People had treated her like that before, and she agreed with Xinghuo's words.
However, she still wanted to tell Xinghuo that besides these bad people, there were also good people like Hicks.
Seeing that the two children were not saying anything, everyone took out their phones to call the police.
"They must have gotten lost."
They looked at the two children; one was dressed smartly and looked very cute, while the other was filthy and looked like he had been homeless for many days, unrecognizable.

A man pushed through the crowd and walked up to Anunu and the others. Xinghuo heard the voice, looked up, and saw him. Her expression was both angry and terrified.

As the man reached out his hand, Xinghuo opened her mouth and bit his hand hard.
The man brushed aside the sparks, a fierce glint in his eyes, and was about to grab her when Anunu pounced on him and pushed him away forcefully.
The man was surprised by the strength of the small child, and several people nearby were also knocked to the ground.
"Run!"
Xinghuo grabbed Anunu's hand and ran wildly through the subway car, with the man behind them quickly chasing after them.
Just then, the subway arrived at the station. Xinghuo and Anunu rushed out and, after running around the subway station in a panic for a while, finally found the exit.
After running for a while, Xinghuo and Anunu ran into an alley in the old town.
Just when the two thought the man wouldn't catch up, a tall figure blocked the alley entrance.
"Don't come any closer!"
Xinghuo lay prostrate on the ground, letting out a few low growls as a warning to the man in front of him.
"Why are you running away!"
The man approached Xinghuo step by step, saying, "If I hadn't taken you in, you would have starved to death long ago!"
Behind Xinghuo and Anunu was a high wall. As the man approached, Xinghuo pounced and bit him.
The man reached out and pinned her down. "You really are an ungrateful wolf cub!"
As he spoke, he drew the stun gun from his waist and swung it at Xinghuo. A small wrist grabbed the stun gun in his hand, and the crackling current flowed through her hand, but it did not shake her at all.
"you......"
The man stared in astonishment at the little girl who had caught the stun gun from his hand with her bare hands, then his eyes lit up with wild joy. "You're not human either!"
At this moment, faint lines spread across Anunu's wrist, filling her body with a strange energy.
Sharp claws extended from her fingertips. She looked coldly at the man in front of her and slashed at him with her claws. She snatched his stun gun and pressed it against his body.
The man wasn't afraid of the stun gun. He tried to flip over and throw Anunu off, but she was surprisingly strong. She grabbed his neck with both hands and pressed him down hard. Xinghuo also pounced on him and pressed him down, biting his hand and shaking him violently.
Anunu saw rough, hard skin exposed through the man's torn clothes, and his face began to mutate.
Seeing Xinghuo being grabbed and thrown away by him, and Anunu almost unable to hold him down, she closed her eyes, and the patterns on her body emitted a bright light. The man immediately rolled his eyes and fainted to the ground.
Seeing the man faint, Anunu immediately turned to look at Xinghuo, who had just been thrown out by the man and hit the wall, and was now lying on the ground unconscious.
At this moment, Xinghuo revealed her white hair and a pair of wolf ears on her head, while her dirty wig fell to the side.
Starfire opened her eyes as Anunu shook her, and asked weakly, "Are you hurt? Did he hurt you?"
Knowing that Anunu couldn't understand, she propped herself up to look at the man lying on the ground, and breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that he had fainted.
"Let's go quickly, I'll take you to a safe place."
Xinghuo had just stood up when she collapsed.
"It hurts!" Spark reached out to Anunu. "You should go now, don't worry about me."
Anunu sensed her pain and lifted her clothes to see that her body was covered in bruises and several scars.
"It doesn't hurt, let me warm it up for you."
Anunu placed her hand on her wound, and Xinghuo felt a warm current flow into her body. The pain was slowly dissipating, and she regained her strength.
Anunu withdrew her hand only after the last wound on her body had healed.
Xinghuo sat up abruptly, grabbing Anunu's hand in amazement. "Anunu, you're amazing! How did you do that!"
Although she couldn't understand the words, Anunu roughly understood what she meant. She watched the lines on her hand gradually fade away, and she didn't know why she was able to do it.
"Anunu!"
"Xiao Qi!"
Hearing the commotion, Xinghuo grabbed Anunu's hand and tried to pull her away, but Anunu pulled her back forcefully. "Don't be afraid, they are my brother and sister."
Anunu repeated "brother" and "sister" to Xinghuo several times in Dongwuzhou language.
Xinghuo finally understood. Watching the woman with a powerful aura walk towards them, she asked in surprise, "Anunu, is she really your sister?"
Anunu nodded and called out "Sister" to Karina, who was walking quickly toward her.
This was the first time Karina had heard her call her "sister." She went over and hugged her tightly, checking her over from head to toe. "Are you hurt?"
Anunu shook her head. "No."
Karina breathed a sigh of relief, then grabbed Starfire from beside her and asked, "Why are you running away with her?"
Xinghuo was intimidated by her aura and dared not move, but still bared his teeth at her.
Karina sneered, "Even someone like you can't scare Anunu."
