Chapter 71: Second Sister

Chapter 71: Second Sister

"Come here, baby, these are your older brothers and sisters."

Luo Jin held Anuo and pointed to the people in the video, introducing them to her one by one: "And these are your maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents. These will all be your family in the future. They are just like your parents, and they are the people who love you the most."

Anuo looked at the people in the video who were giving her genuine smiles and nodded slightly.

She used to be all alone, but now she has so many family members, and she will definitely cherish them.

She listened quietly as Logan and the others chatted. She was still unfamiliar with these people in her family. After realizing they were her family, she wasn't as resistant as she had been when she first met Logan and the others, but she still hadn't adapted quickly enough.

Listening to the noisy sounds on the other end, Anuo felt incredibly peaceful, and she began to look forward to her new life in the future.

After Luo Jin hung up the call, Anuo asked him, "Mom, where's Second Sister?"

The four children in the video are the third and fourth brothers, and the fifth and sixth sisters. Tang Ting had told her that she had several older brothers and sisters. She knew that Hicks was still on Casa Star, and he was probably doing some special mission. He had also told her before that he couldn't be with her for the time being.

Why isn't my second sister here either?

"Your second sister is still at the military academy on Saide Star. She just got a break today. You'll see her when you get back."

As soon as Luo Jingang finished speaking, his personal terminal rang. She looked at it and saw the image and name of her second daughter, Karina, displayed on it.

She smiled at Anuo and said, "Look, you miss your second sister, and she called you."

As soon as Luo Jin answered the call, Anuo saw a beautiful girl with a cold and aloof expression jump out in front of her.

The girl had long white hair, and her red eyes were as clear as rubies. Her features were deep and striking, and she was as bright as the most beautiful red rose in full bloom. However, her aloof and solemn temperament suppressed this brilliance, making her seem unapproachable.

"Mother."

When Anno heard her call out, her voice was cold and devoid of any emotion. She called Luo Jin's mother with more respect than Wu Sui and the others called her commander, like an emotionless machine.

Lokin, however, was used to it. Holding Anno, he smiled slightly at her and said, "Karina, look, your seventh sister."

Karina's gaze was fixed on Anno from the very beginning, but her expression didn't change much.

She nodded slightly. "I understand, Mother. I'm very happy."

Lokin: "I can tell you're happy just by looking at you."

Anno remained silent. She didn't know how Luo Jin could tell that her second sister was happy, as her expression hadn't changed at all from beginning to end.

"Karina, you have a day off today, are you already planning to go back?"

Karina said, "Mother, I've come to report to you. I'm waiting for you on your next flight path. There's a temporary fighter jet exercise going on, and we'll head back together after it's over."

Lokin glanced at their flight path; they were almost at the planet Saide where Karina was.

She said, "Sure, you can submit your boarding application directly to the captain, and I'll approve it for you."

Karina: "Thank you, Mother."

After saying that, she hung up the call without asking any further questions about Anno.

Luo Jin looked down at Anuo, patted her head and said, "Baby, your second sister is just like this. She likes you very much, but she doesn't like to smile."

Anuo thought to herself, it doesn't matter if people don't like her. She doesn't need so many people to like her. She's already very content with her parents.

Several space fighters were waiting along the route from Saide Star to Tianhe Star.

"Karina, you're on vacation and you're still applying for fighter jet exercises? You're working too hard! You're only a freshman, you don't need that many credits!"

"Exactly, sigh, I wouldn't have come if my tutor hadn't added extra classes at the last minute. I'm already exhausted from training, and this happens during my vacation."

"I hate it when classes are added at the last minute. I had already packed my bags to go home, and then I got a notice about an exercise. Damn it, I wanted to put a sack over my professor's head and beat him up!"

"We were all running away in time, but Karina volunteered to join the team for the drills. She came right after finishing her training. She's really tough."

Karina listened to the older man's complaints, her slender fingers lightly tapping the steering wheel, her gaze fixed on the flight path map, which showed the distance between Logan and their starship and her.

She will be able to board the ship in five minutes.

The other fighter jets were waiting here for the school's spaceship to pick them up. They were running low on fuel after the exercise, so the various teams dispersed and waited in place.

Five minutes later, Karina boarded the starship where Lockin and the others were. After registering, she went straight to the rest cabin.

Along the way, the crew members on the starship straightened up when they saw this aloof girl, and even subconsciously wanted to salute her. Her aura was too strong, and they thought she was a high-ranking officer on the starship.

They knew almost everyone on the starship, but this girl was a complete stranger.

Someone recognized Karina and whispered to others who didn't know her, "It's Commander Lockin's second daughter, Karina."

Everyone suddenly realized why her aura was so similar to Commander Lockin's. However, while Commander Lockin's aura was like a mountain, giving people immense pressure, Karina was like a walking block of ice, so cold that people dared not approach her easily.

Karina made her way to the rest pod where Anno and the others were. When she got to the door, she stood there for a moment before raising her hand and ringing the doorbell.

A few seconds later, the hatch opened, and Tang Ting stood in front of her.

"Father."

"They're here."

Tang Ting smiled faintly and patted her shoulder. "Come in. Your mother is helping your little sister Xiao Qi learn a language."

Karina entered the room and looked towards the living room, where she immediately saw Little Seven nestled in her mother's arms.

"So small," she thought to herself.

It was much smaller than she had imagined. Wasn't it supposed to be three years old? How come it was so small?

It looks so fragile, but it's also... very cute.

She watched for a while, then walked towards Anno.

Anno looked up when she heard the noise and was stunned to see the white-haired girl walking towards her.

Is this her... second older sister?

Upon seeing Karina, Lockin stood up and walked over to her. She hadn't seen her daughter for almost a year and missed her terribly.

“Mother.” Karina bowed slightly to her.

She put her hand on her shoulder and squeezed it. "It's been a year. You've grown taller and thinner."

Karina said, “Mother, my height had already stopped at 182cm when I was eighteen. My body fat percentage and weight this year are 1% higher than the last time you saw me.”

It means that I haven't grown taller or thinner.

Lokin: "..."

Of Anno's six children, only Karina developed such an eccentric personality.

She was their best child, but also the most difficult to get along with.

Anno looked at the way this mother and daughter interacted and felt that something was a little strange.
