Chapter Seventy: Family
Wu Sui looked at the milk cake that Nuonuo handed her to her plate, smiled and patted her head, "Thank you Nuonuo," and then ate the milk cake in one bite.
After finishing her late-night snack, Anuo still couldn't fall asleep. Seeing how energetic she was, and since she needed to pack her things with Tang Ting and confirm some matters with the people in charge of the starships for this escort, Luo Jin asked Wu Sui to stay and play with her a little longer, as she had something to tell him later.
After playing with the toys for a while, Anuo looked at Wu Sui, who was helping her assemble the toys, and reached out to touch his head.
Wu Sui looked up at her. "What's wrong, Nuonuo?"
Anuo took a pom-pom from her pile of toys and tossed it to him. Wu Sui caught it and realized, "Does Nuonuo want to play with the pom-pom?"
Anuo shook her head and asked him, "Do you like it?"
Wu Sui looked at the fluffy ball in her hand, not quite understanding what she meant, but still smiled slightly and said, "I like it."
Anno: "Then become a big cat."
Wu Sui was stunned for a moment. Turn into a big cat?
Anno thought he didn't want to change, so she lay on the low table and looked at him, saying word by word, "Change to ears and tail, that's fine too."
Wu Sui realized that she wanted to see his beast form.
A moment later, a huge black panther appeared in the living room, almost filling it completely.
Wu Sui wrapped her tail around Anuo's waist and lifted her onto her back.
Anno rolled over on his broad back, then slid off him, nestled in his warm and soft belly, and turned on his personal terminal to listen to the language instruction.
Seeing Wu Sui's beastly form, she knew he was a leopard, but she thought leopards and cats were like wolves and dogs, not much different.
Because the cats she saw in the apocalypse were all mutated large cats; she had only seen normal cats in previous picture books and videos.
Actually, apart from body size, they are pretty much the same.
Looking at Anuo nestled comfortably in Wu Sui's arms, Luo Jin said to Tang Ting, "Baby seems to really like you leopards."
Tang Ting packed several vials of medicine into the medical kit and said with a smile, "Baby likes felines; she always calls us 'big cats.'"
He paused, stopped what he was doing, and looked at Anuo. "She only came out of the petri dish not long ago. Her love for felines didn't start with me and Wu Sui."
Lokin: "You mean, while the baby was still in the petri dish, there were feline species taking care of her?"
Tang Ting nodded: "Very likely."
Anno leaned against Wu Sui and listened to the language lesson for a while before falling asleep. Wu Sui looked at her curled up in his arms and was reluctant to leave, so he stayed in that position until Luo Jin came over and carried her to bed.
This time, Wu Sui's family also participated in the lottery for adopting the cubs, but the result was obvious: they failed to win the adoption qualification.
His parents have been talking about him a lot these past few days, saying that he works under Commander Lockin and can see the little cub often. They want to spend as much time as possible with the little cub so that she can get to know him better, and that they can bring her to their home to play sometime in the future.
Wu Sui thought to himself that there was still a chance. He would have to help Commander Luo Jin take care of the children in the future, and besides, the little cub clearly liked his beast form.
