Chapter Sixty-Nine: Accompanying

Chapter Sixty-Nine: Accompanying

Anno looked at the small ball floating in the palm of the doll, then his gaze fell on the doll's face.

He was wearing a mascot costume that looked like a big, fluffy cat. She couldn't see his face through his hood, and his energy was unfamiliar, but she could vaguely sense a familiar aura mixed in with it.

She had used up too much energy at Baisha Lake last time, and her energy level had not yet returned to normal, so her sensory abilities had also decreased accordingly.

That familiar aura vanished in an instant.

Seeing that she didn't take the small ball from her hand, the doll handed her a transparent square box. "Little one, want to try your luck with a blind box? You can randomly get items from my stall."

She looked down and saw that the square box was only transparent from the outside; it was pitch black inside and she couldn't see anything.

Tang Ting squatted down beside her, his gaze sweeping over the doll. "Blind boxes? That's my specialty. How many star coins per box?"

"Sir, five stars per transaction."

After hearing this, the puppet moved the blind box in front of Tang Ting. He knew that Tang Ting was afraid that he would do something to the box.

Tang Ting reached into the box and rummaged around for a while before pulling out a small, grayish-white ball.

"Congratulations, you have won a gray otter plush toy."

The doll took a gray otter doll off the shelf and handed it directly to Anno.

Anuo took it and whispered, "Thank you."

The doll reached out and patted her head, lowering its voice to say, "Baby, you're welcome."

His gentle tone carried a familiar voice, but she just couldn't remember whose it was.

She didn't think much of it. She didn't know many people in this world, and maybe it was just that her voice sounded similar to someone she knew in the past.

Just as she was about to go to other stalls, the doll took out something else and handed it to her.

"This is for the baby."

Anno looked closely and saw that it was a fluffy jellyfish hat, which was very cute.

Judging from its shape and the gold trim around the edge, this hat is modeled after the golden sand jellyfish.

Her eyes lit up, and she made no attempt to hide her delight at the hat. "Thank you."

She took the hat, looked up at Tang Ting and Luo Jin, and Luo Jin picked her up. "Does Nuonuo like it?"

Anno nodded, took off his hat and handed it to Tang Ting, holding up the jellyfish hat and saying to them, "Wear this."

Tang Ting took the hat she had taken off and put it away, then helped her put the jellyfish hat back on.

"How many star coins in total?" Tang Ting turned to ask the doll.

"The hat is a gift for the little one, so we don't need to pay for it."

As he spoke, the mascot moved his stall past them and into the crowd, heading to other places.

Anno, clutching the soft tassels hanging from the jellyfish hat, leaned on Lokin's shoulder and watched the doll drift away from them until it was swallowed up by the crowd and could no longer be seen.

In a dimly lit corner, the doll removed its headgear, revealing a fair and handsome face.

Bazel looked in the direction where Anno had just left, a slight smile curving his lips, and his usually indifferent heterochromatic eyes softened.

After a long while, he lowered his head and opened his palm, allowing the small ball he was preparing to give to Anno to float up.

He grabbed the ball and pressed it, and Anno's projection immediately appeared on the ball.

After transmitting the image to the optical computer, he crushed the ball.

After playing in the bustling city for more than two hours, Anno was taken back by Tang Ting and the others.

Because today is the first day of the Foggy Rain Festival, there will be more and more people. Her identity is too special, and it is easy for some villains to sneak in when there are many people, which is not safe.

As soon as she got back, Anno sat on the living room carpet and counted her spoils from her trip.

Wu Sui sat beside her, helping her arrange her toys and explaining how to play with them and how they were constructed.

While on the starship, Wu Sui discovered that Anuo not only enjoyed playing with these toys, but she also studied their construction and liked to take them apart with her bare hands. After Tang Ting discovered this hobby, she put away some of the toys with many parts, as some toys contained wires and chemical liquids, for fear that they might hurt Anuo or be accidentally ingested.

He would only let her play with it when it was right under their noses.

Anno picked out a fighter jet model from a pile of toys. She had taken a liking to this toy at first sight in the bustling city and asked Tang Ting to buy it for her.

This toy is practically a miniature version of the fighter jet she saw in space before; it's incredibly detailed and cool, and it can even fly.

Besides the fighter jets, the pile of toys also included various toy guns and cannons for toddlers. Most of these toys were won by Wu Sui at a booth that tested reflexes.

Wu Sui watched as Anuo sat there, engrossed in fiddling with the fighter jet in her hands. After a long time, she couldn't disassemble a single part. So, Wu Sui sat down behind her, pulled her into his arms, and taught her how to disassemble it, telling her the name of each part of the fighter jet, and then reassembled it one by one.

Tang Ting was making a late-night snack in the kitchen when Luo Jin saw Anuo playing intently, so he went to pack up the things he needed to prepare for going back tomorrow.

Neither she nor Tang Ting had anything to prepare; it was all basically Anuo's doing.

"First install this power supply unit, yes, then install the wings and taillights."

After Anno installed the last component, the fighter jet's taillights lit up. Wu Sui then used the remote control to take the fighter jet into flight and handed the remote control to Anno.

Anno leaned against Wu Sui's chest and piloted the fighter jet around the house. After circling in front of Luo Jin, it flew to the kitchen and circled around Tang Ting.

Tang Ting came out of the kitchen carrying food, smiling as she said to her, "Baby, wash your hands and come eat something delicious."

Anno immediately put down the remote control and went to the bathroom to wash her hands.

Wu Sui followed behind her. After entering the bathroom, he watched her climb onto the raised stool. With a smile in his eyes, he lifted her up and made her stand up. After she washed her hands, he took a towel and dried her hands before carrying her to sit on a chair.

Anuo grabbed the soft and glutinous pastries from the plate in front of her and stuffed them into her mouth. Her plate was full of milk cakes of various flavors made by Tang Ting, and they were also made into different shapes, looking exquisite and delicious.

Besides what Anuo ate, Tang Ting also made some other food, mostly meat. She couldn't eat these things yet because her teeth hadn't fully grown in, and she couldn't chew anything that was even slightly hard.

Logan put down what he was holding and sat down at the table with them, talking about some things to do when he returned tomorrow while they ate.

Anuo held her plate of milk cake and ate it earnestly. She was used to being possessive of her food, and no matter how much food she had, she would pull it in front of her and hold it in a circle.

Halfway through her meal, she couldn't resist glancing at the black lily next to her. The aroma of the meat was irresistible, and although her own food was delicious, she couldn't resist the smell of the meat.

Seeing her gazing at him expectantly, Wu Sui carefully chopped a piece of meat and quietly placed it on her plate.

Anuo was finally satisfied after eating the meat, and in exchange, he handed a piece of milk cake from his plate to Wu Sui.

She used to barter like this in the past; it was just a habit.
