Chapter 43: Loss
Tang Ting was carrying Anuo toward the aircraft when Anuo saw Luo Jin following behind them. He reached out to her, and although he didn't say anything, his gesture and eyes said, "Hug me."
Luo Jin smiled gently and took her from Tang Ting's arms. "Okay, Mom... I'll hold you."

Wu Sui replied, "Yes."
Luo Jin looked around the room. Although it was spacious, it was decorated in a cozy style that babies would like. There were cute toys and other items everywhere, and the room lights were warm-toned and not too bright or glaring.
Seeing the four women standing at the door of the room, Luo Jin called out to Mingse, "We don't need these four nannies, we can take care of the baby."
After the rebels and the Zerg had close contact with the cubs, Lokin is now wary of any strangers approaching them, not even those chosen by the Archon.
Mingse nodded to indicate that she understood, and without asking any further questions, she left the room with the four nannies and Wu Sui.
Finally, things settled down, and Luo Jin carried Anuo to the bed. As she was about to put Anuo on the bed, she noticed that Anuo was holding onto her neck and wouldn't let go.
She had no choice but to sit on the bed with Anuo in her arms, stroking her back as she asked, "Is the baby sleepy? Shall I hold the baby and sleep with her?"
Anno didn't speak. After a long while, Luo Jin finally heard her say, "You... don't want me?"
Luo Jin and Tang Ting, who was preparing milk for Anuo, were both stunned. They hadn't expected Anuo to say such a thing. Her tone, filled with doubt and a hint of cautious probing, was as if she was afraid of being abandoned by them, which made their hearts clench.
Logan quickly realized what was happening, placed her on his lap, and gently stroked her hair, soothingly saying, "How could I not want the baby?"
Luo Jin lowered his head and kissed Anuo's forehead, deciding to tell her about her future plans. "Baby, don't worry, many, many people will love you, not just me, but also your future mom and dad."
She knew the little cub was very smart and sensitive, and must have sensed something to say she didn't want her. She wasn't sure she could win the adoption right for the little cub, so she couldn't call herself her parent. She had only said that before to appease her.
They wanted to restrain their love for her, but how could they not love her when they were with her?
When Anno heard what Login said, she understood that she would have parents in the future, but not them; they were going to entrust her to other people to raise.
She lowered her eyes, concealing the disappointment within them.
She asked that question to prepare herself mentally. If Luo Jin didn't want her or wanted to support her, then she wouldn't think about the love and warmth he had given her anymore.
Although she felt a little disappointed, she quickly adjusted herself. She had rarely felt such warmth in the past, and she dared not ask for too much.
Looking at the little cub with her head down, Luo Jin instantly realized that she shouldn't have said those words, which had made her so upset.
She hugged her tightly and kept comforting her: "Baby, don't be sad. No matter who your parents are in the future, you will always be our baby, and we will always love you."
