Chapter 104: Serving

Chapter 104: Serving

Caesar pushed open the glass door to the balcony, and as soon as he drew back the curtains, he was met with Anno's pale blue eyes.

Anno blinked, looking at the silver-haired man who appeared in front of her. Wasn't this the man she met on the rescue starship?

How did he suddenly appear here?

Anno sat up in bed, rubbed her eyes, and when she removed her hand, the man was already standing in front of her bed.

"you......"

She had barely opened her mouth when the man knelt down in front of her.

“Your Highness,” Caesar called out.

Anno: What is he saying?

Knowing that Anno couldn't understand the Zerg language, Caesar repeated himself in Northern River.

However, he said, "A cute little girl."

Oh, damn it, we can't let His Highness know her identity now.

Anno: So that's what he meant by what he just said?

Anno asked, "Who are you?"

He suddenly appeared in her room, but strangely, she didn't feel any wariness towards him, neither resisting nor feeling that he was dangerous.

It was as if his appearance in front of me was the most natural thing in the world.

This feeling sparked a sense of novelty in her, making her want to get to know him.

Caesar stood up and sat by Anno's bedside. He gently took her hand, pressed his forehead against the back of her hand, and looked at her with incredibly tender eyes. "My name is Caesar, and I am your servant."

After saying that, he repeated it in the Northern River language: "My lovely little girl, my name is Caesar."

Then he repeated his name several times in both the Zerg language and the Northern River language.

When Anuo saw him take her hand and place it on his forehead, she felt a sense of déjà vu.

Anno asked, "Are you going to teach me another language? Where are you from?"

Strange, really strange. She didn't even dislike his touch. Given her usual personality, the sudden appearance of such a tall man would have made her warily hide to the side.

Caesar smiled gently. "My lovely little girl, I come from Claw Claw Star. It is my greatest honor to know you."

"Claw Star?"

Anno was stunned. Which star system is Claw Star in?

She thought he was also from the Northern River system. After all, the Northern River system is so big with countless planets, and he spoke Northern River language with an accent, which might be a dialect from some planet.

And why did he refer to himself as a subject in front of her?

When she asked, Caesar replied, “Claws is just a very insignificant planet. Our race wanders among the stars, searching for the master we serve.”

"And you are the master I need to serve."

Anno looked at Caesar's gaze, which was respectful and loyal.

She said, "Your race is so strange. Why do you seek a master?"

Caesar: "We don't know either. Perhaps it's a genetic attraction. I'm lucky to have found you. You are now the master I will serve for the rest of my life."

Anno felt a little uncomfortable when he heard "master". "Don't call me master. I have a name."

Caesar: "It is too disrespectful to call my master by his name. May I call you Your Highness?"

Anno: "...Call me by my name, my name is Anno Seville."

Caesar: "Yes, Your Highness."

Anno: "..."

Okay.

She stopped worrying about what he called her. His appearance was strange, but she felt very relaxed and comfortable talking to and being with him.

She sized him up: long silver hair, golden eyes, and fair skin that glowed softly in the dim light of the room. His features were exquisitely sculpted, without a single flaw. He was indeed somewhat different from the people of the Northern River Star.

But his features and eyebrows seemed vaguely familiar.

She asked, "Are all the people on Claw Planet like this? Serving others."

Caesar nodded, speaking in a serious tone while only half-truthfully: "Yes, Your Highness, that's how it is. We will follow the person we serve for life and never betray them."

Anno then asked, "So how did you find me?"

"I can sense your energy, your presence. I even search for you in my dreams, but I won't be dreaming about you anymore for a while."

Anno: "Why can't I dream anymore?"

Her curiosity was piqued by this claw-like alien; she found him fascinating and wanted to learn more about him and his planet.

Caesar took her hand and pressed it against his face, his eyes filled with tenderness. "Because I have found you, I no longer need to dream."

Hearing his words, Anno was slightly taken aback, and a bittersweet feeling welled up in her heart. For some reason, she felt that Caesar in front of her was so kind.

They were so close, it was as if she and he were family.

She grabbed his hand in return, and Caesar, following her lead, placed his hand in front of her.

Anuo looked down at his long, slender, jade-like hands and said, "Now that you've found me, will you stay by my side from now on?"

Not hearing Caesar's reply, she looked up at him.

"I'm sorry, Your Highness."

Caesar looked guilty and apologetic: "I can't be by your side every day for the time being. The North River system... is not suitable for the Claw Claw people. It will make me weak. I can only come to see you every now and then, but don't worry, my heart is always with you."

Anno didn't seem to care. Just as her body wasn't really suited to some of the environments in the Northern River system, Caesar, being from another system, was probably even less suited.

"You asked me why I found you...?"

Caesar's hand enveloped Anno's small hand, and the skin on his hand began to glow, with silver-blue scales appearing and disappearing on his skin.

"Because you and I have a natural synesthesia, and we can have a conscious connection and fusion."

Anno looked at the changes in him and a look of surprise appeared on her face.

She felt the energy and consciousness emanating from Caesar, completely open to her, as if inviting her in.

This gentle yet surging energy poured over her, enveloping her like warm water.

It felt very similar to the fire she encountered during the day, but Caesar's energy was much stronger, making her senses even clearer.

This energy made her feel like a stranded fish finally returning to water, her joyful soul trembling slightly.

She heard Caesar say again, "Perhaps you would like it better this way."

Then she watched as Caesar took off his coat, leaving him in only a thin undershirt.

He lifted his clothes to his waist, ran his hand down his back, and pulled out a... tail.

Hmm? Is that a tail?

Anno looked at the soft, glowing tentacle in Caesar's hand and compared it to his own glowing band.

They look so alike.

The one Caesar held was a bit thicker, and its glow was silvery.

Caesar held out his own tail feathers: "Your Highness, you may touch them."
