Chapter 105: Response
Anno saw Caesar extend the tail that resembled his own light band to him and reached out to touch it.
It feels warm, soft, and smooth to the touch, and it's also very elastic.
"Is this your tail?" she asked.
Caesar wrapped the whiskers around her wrist. "Not exactly a tail, but something very important to us Claw Claws, just like Your Highness's aura. It's our aura too."
Anno touched it curiously: "Is it also called a light band?"
Caesar smiled slightly and said, "There are many names for it, such as the band of light, the tail whiskers, or the spine whip."
“Spinal whip..…”
Anno looked down the whip and saw that the end seemed to be connected to Caesar's coccyx, but his movement just now looked more like it was being swept down from above his back.
She couldn't help but tug at it gently. Seeing her curious expression, Caesar turned his back to show her.
He rolled his clothes up to his waist, exposing half of his back.
His back muscles were firm and the lines were smooth. A glowing spinal line ran along the slightly concave back, and the whip she held in her hand extended from that spinal line.
Looking at his spine, which shimmered with a soft glow like the Milky Way in the night sky, she moved closer and her hand couldn't help but touch his spine.
Caesar's spine trembled slightly when Anno touched it.
For the Zerg, the spine is their lifeline, the most sensitive part of their body, and they don't usually expose it easily.
Sensing Caesar's reaction, Anno touched him briefly and then withdrew his hand.
"Your Highness, do you like it?"
Caesar spoke softly, with the excited urge of someone cautiously asking a dog for a reward.
Anuo looked up at him and stared into his golden eyes. She was momentarily stunned by the tenderness in his gaze that seemed to drown her.
At that moment, she suddenly believed in the strange inheritance of the Claw Claw aliens who would be loyal to others due to genetic attraction, after all, she had never seen anyone show her such an expression.
It wasn't the doting and affectionate look in the eyes of people like Luo Jin, but rather that she was his only faith in this life, an unquestionable devotion.
It is both pure and peaceful, yet contains an underlying passion.
His energy encompassed her, and their energies unconsciously merged, giving her a completely different feeling from that of Locke and the others.
She felt a sense of peace and tranquility, and the unease that had always lingered deep within her was soothed. Seeing him now was like meeting a fellow countryman in a foreign land.
Anuo didn't know when she fell asleep. She slept very soundly and vaguely felt that she had a very happy dream, but she had no recollection of the dream after waking up.
Did the baby sleep well last night?
When Luo Jin saw that she was awake, he pulled her out of bed, kissed her forehead, and took her to wash up.
After breakfast, Anno sat in the living room playing with her toys. During her more than half a month in the hospital, her older siblings had given her a lot of toys.
As usual, Luo Jin and Tang Ting sat on the sofa to one side, keeping Anuo company while doing some work.
Suddenly, both of them received a message flashing red light on their personal computer interfaces at the same time. They were stunned for a moment, then immediately became serious and opened the message.
This message came from the security department. It said that wormhole disturbances were discovered near the hospital, and they should remain vigilant. They have already sent people to investigate and have also strengthened security in the area.
The information included very messy data on the detected wormhole energy fluctuations, making it impossible to compare and screen it in the database.
This is happening on the main planet, and in its capital city. A wormhole disturbance could very well be an invasion by an enemy, which is an extremely dangerous event.
This is no longer just about the safety of the Fire Seedlings.
Upon seeing this message, Locke and Tang Ting exchanged a glance, and almost immediately one name popped into their minds: Caesar.
Although the energy data of this wormhole was very chaotic and it was impossible to analyze what type and level it was, they now knew Anno's true identity and were mentally prepared that Anno would eventually come into contact with the Zerg.
During the space battle with the rebels at the starport on Canghai Star, Caesar brought a large number of Zerg.
At the time, they couldn't figure out what the Zerg were thinking. The Zerg helped them deal with the rebels, and then left after only a brief encounter with Anno.
It now appears that the Zerg already know Anno's identity.
Besides Caesar, they couldn't think of anyone else with the ability and courage to open a wormhole to their home planet's capital.
After all, he was able to open a wormhole right under the Alliance leader's nose and beat him up.
Anno was also the reason he opened the wormhole.
The two glanced at Anno, then got up and walked towards the door in tacit agreement, so that she wouldn't hear their conversation about the Zerg.
"It must be Caesar."
In the corridor, Locke said to Tang Ting, "Only he has this ability."
Tang Ting nodded: "I also think it's him, but now we're wondering how to deal with the security department."
Since Caesar has already opened the wormhole, it means he may have already made contact with Nono.
The information provided by the security department indicated that the fluctuation occurred around 10 p.m. last night. Caesar must have used some kind of equipment to disrupt their detection instruments, which is why the fluctuation was only detected after so long.
If the Zerg weren't currently considered their enemies, Caesar's ability alone would pose a significant threat to them.
After thinking for a moment, Luo Jin said, "Let them go. His Majesty should have received the news by now. We'll just report Nono's situation to them as usual."
Login recalled what Evena had told her before: that if there was anything concerning Nono that they couldn't do, they could directly apply to Consul Aled, who would definitely agree.
Evena knew the most about Anno's true identity, and by saying this, she was already subtly telling them some answers.
Although Tang Ting deduced Anno's identity, he did not mention it to anyone, including Locke, until it was fully confirmed.
Eve didn't tell them about Anno's memories. These days, she just came to see Anno as usual, and after seeing her for a while, she would return to the Fire Seed Association. She seemed to be very busy.
Luo Jin didn't ask about any of them, all so that Nuonuo could grow up healthy and safe by their side, no longer having to bear things that were not hers to bear now.
Seeing Evena's behavior, she knew without asking how terrible Anno's past had been.
Ivana had her reasons for not telling them what she had seen in Anno's memories.
They're going to play dumb now, pretending they don't know Anno's true identity.
Luo Jin looked at the ward with some worry in her eyes. She always felt that Anuo's identity and her past experiences were a ticking time bomb.
She still needed to have a proper talk with Evena another day, otherwise she would always feel uneasy.
