Chapter 10 The Black Hand (2/2)

Overnight, Bai Yajing was completely listless, as if a demon had sucked away her energy.

Dark circles are now visible under my eyes.

While she was still asleep, she went to the bathroom to wash up and take care of her bodily needs.

When I returned with the hot water, everyone was mostly awake.

After she sat down, she took the package out from under her feet. As soon as her hand touched it, she realized that the package had been tampered with.

Previously, her zipper was always fully zipped up, but now it looked like it was hastily zipped up, not fully closed...

There were only a few clothes inside, which didn't bother her. Besides, the whole family was awake when she arrived. When the young woman saw her, she even looked away. She knew who had rummaged through the clothes.

The cloth bag had been rummaged through, so naturally the food box couldn't be taken out from inside.

She took a food box out of the cloth bag on her body, opened it, and inside were steamed buns made from two kinds of flour and pickles.

The old woman across from her stared wide-eyed. She had just searched her entire bag but couldn't find any food or money; it turned out she had it on her person!

That little tyrant, feeling powerful again, pouted and tugged at his grandma's sleeve, "Grandma, I want to eat steamed buns!"

The old woman quickly covered his mouth. "Oh dear, my little darling! This is a female demon! How dare you provoke her!"

"My dear grandson, let's eat some pancakes. We're almost at your uncle's house. We'll go back and have your aunt make some for you."

Bai Yajing pretended not to hear it. As long as she didn't provoke her, she was still a very well-behaved little girl.

Around noon, the train stopped, and Bai Yajing nimbly walked out, carrying her small bundle.

The family following behind her appeared to have gotten off at the same stop.

Just as she was about to get off the train, she felt someone push her. Luckily, she almost fell off the platform, but she reacted quickly, braced herself with her hands, and did a somersault to land steadily.

Looking back, she saw that the family was indeed behind her. The man was stunned and stood there dumbfounded when he saw her land steadily.

Bai Yajing smiled knowingly and waited for them in place.

Suddenly, the whole family felt a chill run down their spines, unsure whether to go up or down.

It was only after being urged by the people behind them that they got off the train. As soon as they got off, the man darted out.

Unfortunately, Bai Yajing grabbed his collar and her icy voice sounded in his ear like a devil's whisper.

"What? You think you can just push someone and run away? Come on, let's talk this over."

The old woman, no longer afraid, rushed forward to stop them.

"What are you doing? Where are you taking my son? You're just a little girl, touching and tugging at a man like that. Don't you have any shame?"

Bai Yajing clicked her tongue impatiently.

"Old woman, I forgot to deal with you, and you came knocking on my door like this? Hmm?"

Her eyes were icy cold, which made the old woman shiver and unconsciously shift her feet.

He hesitated for a moment, then didn't dare say anything more.

The man was being gripped by the back of his neck by her, and the force of her grip was extremely strong. He didn't dare to move at all, fearing that she might accidentally break his neck.

The young woman was a little scared when she saw the group walk away, but she still mustered up her courage and followed them with her son.

There were many people around, and Bai Yajing didn't naively believe that sending him to see the police would be helpful.

After all, she's perfectly fine and there's no guarantee anyone will be willing to testify on her behalf. In the end, she'll probably just get a few words of advice, nothing serious, so there's really no need to waste time.
