Chapter 139: Sixth Brother

He glanced at Shi Yiqin and then waved to call a bodyguard, saying, "Accompany Lady Shi to dance."

"No problem, Master Qianyi," the bodyguard replied respectfully without asking further questions.

Shi Yiqin happily walked towards the dance floor upon seeing someone to dance with.

Qin Youyu held his sister Ann in his arms and before he could warm her up, their daddy Qin Haochen approached them.

Qin Haochen walked with fast and steady steps, finally reaching the point where he could escape from the tedious formalities and be with his little family.

"Ann."

He strode up to the little family, ignoring the resentful gaze of his fifth son.

With a gentle and confident gesture, he lifted Ann into his embrace.

Qin Sui’an happily wrapped her little hands around his neck and in a childish voice, she said, "Daddy, Fifth Brother said we should dance!"

"Great," Qin Haochen lowered his head slightly, his gaze filled with affection as he looked at Ann.

"Are you afraid, Ann?"

He knew that Ann had never danced before, especially not in front of so many guests.

"No!" Qin Sui’an shook her little head firmly.

She was no longer the timid and crying child she used to be, especially with her daddy by her side.

Qin Haochen smiled, his voice soft, "Ann, you’re amazing."

The dance floor was located in front of the stage, where the live band was performing.

The lighting was dim and comfortable, allowing clear visibility while creating a beautiful and enchanting atmosphere.

Qin Haochen walked towards the center of the dance floor with Ann in his arms, naturally forming a circle of people around them, with them at the center.

Ann was still quite short, so Qin Haochen adjusted his posture while holding her, supporting her small body with one hand and patiently placing her little hands on his shoulder.

As a warm-up music piece ended, a melodious tune began to play again.

Qin Haochen took slow steps, dancing the simplest waltz with Ann.

Qin Huo handed his cane to a nearby bodyguard and bowed slightly to Lan Jin, extending his hand.

"Little Jin."

Lan Jin curved her lips upwards, but her eyes showed concern as she looked at his feet.

"Ah Huo, don’t overexert yourself."

"I know," Qin Huo smiled reassuringly at her.

She raised her hand and gently placed it in his palm.

The two entered the dance floor, following the rhythm of their sons and granddaughter, dancing their steps.

As one song ended, another began, and other guests gradually invited their partners to join the dance floor. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

Qin Haochen knew that his sons were eagerly waiting by the dance floor, and he was worried that Ann would become dizzy from dancing too much.

After dancing two more songs with her, he let his sons continue dancing with her.

On this evening, Ann only danced with her family, but she danced for about ten songs.

Although she was only responsible for being held and danced with, she was very happy.

Her little face was excited and flushed, and she continued to feel joyful.

The banquet continued until after eight o’clock, and Ann started to feel sleepy.

Her round eyes showed signs of exhaustion, yet she remained excited.

Qin Haochen, concerned about her fatigue, carried her back to the villa.

Qin Sui’an leaned softly against her daddy’s embrace, her lips still curled upwards, indicating how happy she was.

"Daddy, are you tired too?"

"Yes, a little tired. Let’s rest in the living room for a while," Qin Haochen walked slowly into the living room.

Suddenly, he stopped in his tracks and looked towards the little boy sitting on the sofa in the living room, raising an eyebrow.

Following Qin Haochen’s gaze, Qin Sui’an blinked her round eyes and then leaned closer to his ear, her little voice filled with curiosity.

"Daddy, who is this Sixth Brother?"
