After Qin Sui’an finished her afternoon tea, her phone started ringing.
Ye Rongyuan curiously glanced at it and saw that it was a call from his brother-in-law, Qin Haochen.
Unable to resist, he muttered under his breath, "It seems like the Qin family business isn’t doing so well."
Even the busy CEO had time to make phone calls.
Upon hearing his muttering, Ye Yanzhi helplessly looked at him and said, "Don’t you have the time to come over too?"
"Dad, why are you taking his side and teasing me?"
Ye Rongyuan said in frustration.
Ye Yanzhi snorted, "I’m just stating the facts."
Qin Sui’an held her phone and happily answered the call, her sweet and soft voice calling out, "Daddy!!"
"Ann," Qin Haochen, after reluctantly dealing with most of his work in the afternoon, couldn’t wait to see his little girl.
Through the screen, he carefully observed her expression, her rosy little face revealing her owner’s delightful mood.
Ye Yanzhi knew that Ann had been on the phone with her daddy for quite some time.
Glancing at the time, he said to his third son, "I’ll go check on your mommy’s sleep. You stay with Ann."
"Understood, Dad," Ye Rongyuan nodded.
Ann curled up in a corner of the sofa, her small face almost touching the phone screen.
Her round eyes formed crescents as she giggled and said, "Daddy, Ann ate lots of cake and milk!"
Qin Haochen couldn’t help but be infected by her smile, his lips involuntarily curving upwards.
"Was it delicious?"
"Super delicious!"
Qin Sui’an vigorously nodded her little head and glanced at the table.
The cake had been eaten up completely.
She looked at the person on the screen and earnestly said, "Next time, Ann will save some for Daddy!"
"All right, thank you, Ann."
When Ye Yanzhi left the ward, he asked Jie Hansi to tidy up the table. In no time, the table was clean again.
Ye Rongyuan sat beside Ann, listening attentively to her video call with her daddy without interrupting them.
Qin Haochen looked at the time, it was already past five.
He tentatively asked, "Ann, is there anything you want to eat for dinner?"
"Emm... anything is fine, Ann isn’t picky," Qin Sui’an thought of the doctor grandma who examined her earlier.
"Daddy, Doctor Grandma said Ann is very healthy and should continue to eat well and drink milk."

Pausing for a moment, he asked again, "Ann, can Daddy come pick you up and go home later?"
"Go home for dinner?"

Ann still didn’t want to leave her mommy.
He gathered his spirits and said softly, "In that case, Daddy has some things to attend to tonight. Ann, you can have dinner with your grandparents. Is that okay?"
Qin Sui’an obediently nodded her little head, "Okay."
She thoughtfully reminded him, "Daddy, remember to have dinner too!"
"Yes, I will," Qin Haochen nodded.
Qin Sui’an whispered, "Daddy, Mommy can sleep alone, she’s very brave."
"Yes, your mommy is very strong," Qin Haochen’s fingertips lightly moved, wishing he could touch Ann’s little head.
She seemed slightly down compared to before.
Just as he had this thought, a hand reached out in the frame and covered Ann’s head.
Ye Rongyuan gently rubbed Ann’s head to comfort her.
"Ann, you’re also very brave. You came out alone to find your mommy, even braver than your mommy!"

"And there’s the big white goose too. The big white goose came with Ann."
"Oh right, there’s a goose," Ye Rongyuan looked at the big white goose on the ground.
He only glanced at it before quickly averting his gaze, not wanting to be reminded of his embarrassing encounter with the goose.
Qin Haochen knew that Ye Rongyuan’s voice was not only comforting Ann, but also reminding him that he hadn’t taken good care of Ann.
Ye Rongyuan didn’t hear Qin Haochen speak again, pondered for a moment, and asked Ann, "Ann, are you going to sleep here tonight?"
Qin Sui’an’s eyes revealed a hint of anticipation.
She nodded slightly, but quickly shook her head, "There’s only one bed."
"It’s all right. Your mom’s room is quite spacious, we can add another bed there."
Ye Rongyuan paused and continued, "There’s also a lounge nearby, my mom and dad often spend the night there."
Ann’s heart fluttered, and her round eyes blinked with excitement.
Although Qin Haochen was mentally prepared, his heart still tightened upon hearing their conversation.

And so, it was decided.
Qin Haochen chatted with her for a long time until He Yan came to knock on the door, reminding him of a meeting they had to attend.
The video call ended then.
Ye Rongyuan was in a state of excitement, knowing that Ann would be staying here to sleep at night, and his smile never faded from his face.
He led her into the room and pointed to the space next to the hospital bed, "Ann, your bed will be placed here, closest to your mom. How does that sound?"
With just a reach of her little hand, she would be able to touch her mom’s position.
Qin Sui’an smiled happily, nodding her head in satisfaction, "That’s great!"
Ye Rongyuan then took her to the adjacent lounge and coincidentally instructed Jie Hansi to buy a children’s bed.
He took the opportunity to ask Ann, "What color does Ann like?"
She cutely replied, "Any color is fine!"
"All right, then let’s go with pink! Just as adorable as Ann," Ye Rongyuan pinched her little cheek and turned to instruct Jie Hansi, "It should be pink."
Jie Hansi nodded, "Understood, Third Master."
The lounge was next to the ward.
Following the hospital’s white color scheme, the thick wooden door had excellent soundproofing, and a small doorbell was installed next to it.
Ye Rongyuan bent down, lifted the little girl in his arms, and guided her to press the doorbell.
Qin Sui’an extended her index finger and cautiously pressed the doorbell.
Ye Rongyuan listened carefully but didn’t hear any sound.
He wondered, "Have Mom and Dad not woken up yet?"
"They’re awake," Qin Sui’an corrected him.
She heard their faint conversation and the sound of footsteps approaching, "Grandpa is coming to open the door."
In the next second, the door was opened from the inside, revealing Ye Yanzhi.
Ye Rongyuan couldn’t hide his surprise, "Why is Ann’s hearing so sharp?"
