Old Madam Ye glanced at the big white goose once again and repeated, "Is it necessary?"
The big white goose shook its head, "Ga..." Not necessary. Although I haven’t eaten anything today, it’s not a big problem.
The big white goose had originally thought that it could return to the Bay Villa by evening when it got hungry. Oh well, it’s all right. Let’s endure a little longer, and tomorrow we can feast at the Bay Villa!
Qin Sui’an looked up with a puzzled expression, gazing at her grandmother.
Could her grandmother, like Ann, also understand the words of the big white goose?
Ye Yanzhi and Ye Rongyuan both looked at Old Madam Ye simultaneously, their eyes filled with confusion.
Under the gaze of everyone, Old Madam Ye lowered her head and softly asked Ann, "Ann, does the big white goose need to eat something?"
Ah! So it turns out that grandmother doesn’t understand.
Qin Sui’an replied in a childish voice, "Grandmother, the big white goose says it doesn’t need to."
Ye Yanzhi and Ye Rongyuan redirected their gaze, realizing that they were asking Ann.
Old Madam Ye asked again, "Then should we send it back first? So it doesn’t go hungry."
Ann looked at the big white goose and blinked its round eyes.
The big white goose shook its head again, "Ga!" No, if Ann goes back, then I’ll go back too! Ann is the one it left with, so naturally, it should go back together with Ann!
Qin Sui’an, the little goose translator, obediently said, "The big white goose won’t go back, it will go back with Ann."
Old Madam Ye nodded and handed her the bottle, "All right, then we won’t send it away."
After dinner, around eight o’clock, Qin Haochen called on a video call.
This time, besides Qin Haochen, there were also Ann’s several brothers standing behind him.
Qin Haochen first forcefully occupied Ann’s attention for a few minutes, then reluctantly handed the phone to them, letting them chat with Ann.
After not seeing each other for a day, Qin Sui’an’s two little ears were surrounded by the words of her brothers.
The call lasted until half-past nine in the evening when Qin Haochen forcefully ended the bombardment of questions from his sons towards Ann and took back control of the phone.
Seeing the tired expression on Ann’s face, Qin Haochen couldn’t bear to see her exhausted.
He bid her farewell and ended the call.
Old Madam Ye picked up Ann and took her to the adjacent resting room’s bathroom to freshen up, change into pajamas, and then return to the room.
The small bed was surrounded by a pile of dolls, and Ye Rongyuan’s big bear was squeezed into the corner, barely fitting.
Qin Sui’an lay down in the quilt, and with just a turn of her head, she could see her mommy.
Her round eyes curved into a smile.
Old Madam Ye covered her with the blanket, bent down, and kissed her forehead.
"Goodnight, Ann."
"Goodnight, Grandmother," Qin Sui’an sweetly replied, then turned to her mommy and said, "Goodnight, Mommy."
Old Madam Ye smiled, lifted her footsteps lightly, and walked out of the room.
The room’s door was slightly ajar, not completely closed.
She stood outside the room, quietly watching the slowly falling asleep Ann, along with Ann’s mother and her daughter.
The big white goose remained in the living room, dozing off on the sofa.
Old Madam Ye suddenly turned her head and looked at it, whispering, "If Ann wakes up, remember to let us know."
"Ga?"
The big white goose looked at her with confusion.
How could it let them know?
Even if it was called out, these humans wouldn’t understand. Old Madam Ye said, "We’ll be in the adjacent resting room. If we hear your call, we’ll naturally come over."
The big white goose nodded in understanding, "Ga!" All right, if Ann wakes up, I’ll call out a few more times.
"All right."
Old Madam Ye continued to watch the room, still not leaving.
It was only when Ye Yanzhi came over, embraced her shoulder, and lowered his voice, saying, "All right, let’s go. It’s getting late, time to rest."
"Okay." The big white goose watched them leave the ward.
Worried that Ann might wake up tomorrow without it noticing, the big white goose jumped off the sofa and went to the door of the room.
Although it wasn’t as comfortable as the sofa here, it could still manage to sleep for the night.
It curled up at the room’s entrance, ensuring that it would be the first to notice any movement inside.
Adjusting its posture, it buried its head in its snowy white feathers. Before falling asleep, it pondered drowsily: How come Ann’s grandmother seems to understand its words?
Qin Sui’an woke up naturally after a peaceful sleep.
She stretched lazily and got out of bed, carefully holding her mommy’s hand.
"Good morning, Mommy. Ann is awake!"
Ann lowered her head and gently kissed her mommy’s hand.
"Mommy, please wake up early too."
Upon hearing the commotion in the room, the big white goose woke up and let out a "Ga." Ann’s cub woke up early today, it’s not even seven o’clock yet.
Qin Sui’an turned towards the sound and smiled at the big white goose.
"Good morning, big white goose."
"Ga," the big white goose responded before walking towards the door of the ward.
As it pondered how to open the door and inform Ann’s family in the neighboring lounge that Ann had woken up, footsteps could be heard approaching from outside.
A few seconds later, the door to the ward was pushed open.
Old Madam Ye, without having had time to change her clothes, entered wearing her casual attire.
She glanced at the big white goose standing at the door before walking further into the room.
"Is Ann awake?"
"Grandma, good morning," Qin Sui’an smiled, her eyes sparkling.
"Grandma is up early too."
"Good morning, I just woke up as well," Old Madam Ye walked in slowly, gently cupping Qin Sui’an’s face in her hands and kissing her on the cheek.
"Ann, did you sleep well last night?"
"Yes!"
Qin Sui’an nodded her little head.
Old Madam Ye embraced her and said, "Let’s go freshen up and have breakfast, all right?"
"Okay," Qin Sui’an obediently nestled in her embrace.
The two of them left the room and went to the adjacent lounge to freshen up and change clothes.
While helping Ann change, Old Madam Ye asked her, "Your father might be busy with work today. Ann, can we go back to the Bay Villa tonight?"
Qin Sui’an nodded her little head. "Okay."
Although Old Madam Ye secretly wished for Ann to stay, she knew she couldn’t act on her desires.
After finishing breakfast, Qin Sui’an checked the time and called her daddy.
Qin Haochen had just gotten into his car, ready to head to the Qin Corporation.
Qin Sui’an briefly mentioned their plan to return to the Bay Villa in the evening.
Upon hearing this, Qin Haochen wasn’t surprised.
"All right, I’ll pick you up when I finish work tonight."
The call ended as Qin Corporation came into view.
As the president of the Ye Corporation, Ye Rongyuan couldn’t continue to "play truant" and had to make a quick visit to the hospital at noon before returning to handle business at the Ye Corporation.
By a little after five in the afternoon, Qin Haochen’s car came to a stop at the entrance of the hospital.
