Chapter 193: There Will Be Opportunities in the Future

Old Madam Ye, holding Ann in her arms, stepped out of the elevator and squatted down as she approached the hospital entrance.

Gently, she advised, "Ann, take it slow."

"Okay!"

Qin Sui’an obediently nodded, restraining herself from taking small steps even though she was eager to rush out.

As soon as they exited the hospital gate, Qin Sui’an immediately spotted her daddy waiting outside.

"Daddy!"

In an instant, she disregarded her grandmother’s advice and happily dashed towards him.

Qin Haochen also saw Ann and walked towards her with wide strides.

He kneeled, opened his arms, and embraced her.

"Ann."

Since they left in the morning, they had only been able to communicate through the phone until now.

Qin Haochen lifted Ann, his deep eyes filled with longing.

He carefully examined her, fearing she might have been hurt.

His gaze shifted, landing on her small face, which displayed a healthy and joyful rosy complexion.

Qin Sui’an buried her face in his chest and rubbed against it.

"Daddy, Ann missed you so much!"

"Daddy missed you too."

Qin Haochen gently patted her back, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

"Was Ann happy today?"

"Yes! Very happy!"

Qin Sui’an nodded vigorously, her little head bobbing.

"Daddy, today Ann saw my mommy, grandma, grandpa, and third uncle. They are all Ann’s family!"

"Yes, they are all Ann’s family."

Qin Haochen repeated her words as if reminding himself.

Qin Sui’an raised her little face and looked behind her, realizing that her grandmother hadn’t followed.

She just stood at the hospital entrance, not moving.

She felt puzzled and sensed that her grandmother didn’t seem to enjoy interacting with others.

Throughout the day, her grandmother had spoken very little.

Qin Sui’an didn’t wave for her grandmother to come over but instead leaned close to her daddy’s ear and said, "Daddy, Grandma is over there. Grandma is very quiet."

Qin Haochen looked over, nodded slightly towards Old Madam Ye, and then responded to Ann’s words, "Yes, your grandmother doesn’t like crowds."

Qin Sui’an noticed the cute suitcase beside them and finally realized that she couldn’t spend the night with her daddy.

Her bright round eyes dimmed instantly, and she asked softly, "Daddy, can’t Ann sleep with Mommy tonight?"

"I’m sorry, Ann." Qin Haochen rarely refused Ann.

"There will be opportunities in the future, but it might not be possible for now."

"Okay..."

Qin Sui’an sniffled softly, obediently nodding her little head.

"It’s all right. When Daddy is done with work, there will be time."

Qin Haochen tenderly patted her back.

The father and daughter spent a brief half-hour together.

Qin Haochen calculated the time and realized that Ann must be hungry by now.

He said, "Ann, go back with your grandmother. It’s windy outside."

Qin Sui’an first exclaimed, "Ah" not wanting to separate from her daddy, but then held back her reluctant words.

"Be good."

Qin Haochen held Ann with one hand and lifted the children’s suitcase filled with her belongings with the other, walking towards Old Madam Ye.

He stopped a few steps away from the entrance.

Old Madam Ye stepped forward and took Ann from him. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

Behind him, Lucy took the children’s suitcase from his hand.

"President Qin, let me handle it."

Qin Haochen suddenly felt empty, as if a piece of his heart had also emptied.

He looked at Ann and slightly raised his lips.

"Ann, goodbye."

Reluctantly, Qin Sui’an gazed at him. "Daddy, goodbye!"

Old Madam Ye held her and turned around, entering the hospital.

Lucy carried the children’s suitcase and lightly bowed to Qin Haochen before following Old Madam Ye.

Qin Sui’an rested her little head on her grandmother’s shoulder, her damp eyes gazing at her daddy until they turned a corner and she could no longer see him.

Only then did she withdraw her disappointed gaze.

"Grandma, when will the adults be busy and not have to be busy anymore?"

A soft, delicate voice sounded in her ears, mixed with unconcealable worry.

"When Daddy is done with work, Daddy can come and accompany Ann together with Mommy."

Old Madam Ye’s footsteps faltered slightly.

Her throat felt dry, and after a while, she couldn’t find any comforting words for the little girl.

Fortunately, the elevator arrived.

Lucy timely spoke, "Old Sir and Third Master have sent a message. They will be back soon, Old Madam. Shall we have dinner in the living room?"

Old Madam Ye nodded gently, "Yes."

"Okay, Old Madam."

Lucy took out her phone and made the arrangements.

After returning to the ward, it didn’t take long for Ye Yanzhi and Ye Rongyuan to return as well.

Ye Rongyuan was in high spirits, holding a large pink teddy bear measuring 1.2 meters, and offered it to the little girl, saying, "Ann, do you like this bear?"

"I like it!" Qin Sui’an blinked her round eyes, looking surprised at the bear that was even taller than herself.

"Third Uncle, it’s such a big bear!"

"Good, as long as you like it. I’ll have Jie Hansi wash it later, and you can sleep with it tonight," said Ye Rongyuan, taking the bear to find Jie Hansi.

Ye Yanzhi clicked his tongue, "Don’t you have your assistant? Stop bossing Jie Hansi around all the time."

"He’s not here with me, Dad."

Ye Rongyuan replied, then turned back and said, "Don’t worry, Dad, I’ll give Jie Hansi a bonus to thank him."

He was not the kind of boss who was strict with his employees when it came to money matters.

The children’s crib, designated for little girls, was thoroughly disinfected and sent upstairs.

Old Madam Ye held the little girl and stepped back.

Qin Sui’an watched as her pink crib was brought into the room and placed next to her mommy’s hospital bed.

Although she couldn’t sleep on the same bed as her mommy, she couldn’t help but smile happily, her round eyes shining, and even began to look forward to the night coming sooner.

Apart from the bed, other bedding items were gradually delivered, gradually filling up the bare crib.

Ye Yanzhi opened the little girl’s suitcase, and instantly, several dolls jumped out.

He hurriedly caught them to prevent them from getting dirty.

Qin Sui’an’s attention was drawn to this site, and upon seeing the familiar dolls, she smiled happily again, saying, "The dolls have come to accompany Ann!"

The dolls from the suitcase were also placed on the crib one by one, leaving only one spot for the little girl, unable to fit anymore.

Seeing this, Ye Rongyuan couldn’t help but mutter softly, "Then I’m redundant..."

With so many dolls, there was no need for a teddy bear at all.

The room became warmer with the addition of an extra crib.

A hint of a smile appeared in Old Madam Ye’s eyes and brows as if this was just an ordinary mother-daughter room.

If it weren’t for those medical instruments.

Upon returning to the living room, dinner was already set on the table.

Old Madam Ye sat on the sofa with the little girl in her arms, her gaze falling on the big white goose, and she asked, "Does the big white goose need anything to eat?"

The big white goose was playing with an eco-friendly bag, and when it heard its granddaughter Ann mention it, it looked up: "Ga?" Was someone talking to me?
