The gentle gaze of Old Madam Ye met the curious round eyes of Ann.
"Ann is still young, so she doesn’t know yet. When she grows up a little more, she will be able to sense where the spiritual energy is more abundant."
For Ann, this statement was somewhat difficult to comprehend.
Qin Sui’an blinked her round eyes slowly as if trying hard to understand her grandmother’s words.
Old Madam Ye gently held her small hand.
"These things are not important right now, Ann will understand in the future."
Standing up, Old Madam Ye carried her and walked out of the lounge, returning to the hospital room.
Qin Sui’an suddenly seemed to remember something and left her grandmother’s embrace, taking small steps into the room.
She approached the bedside and extended her little hand, carefully staring at the silver bracelet on her wrist.
In the adjacent lounge, right behind the vase of flowers, was Ye Chaosi’s hospital bed.
Just like the reaction when she approached the vase of flowers earlier, the silver bracelet slowly emitted a faint glow.
Qin Sui’an blinked her round eyes in astonishment, turning to look at her grandmother who was standing at the room’s entrance.
She spoke softly in her childish voice, "Grandma, there is also a lot of spiritual energy here, right?"
"Ann is truly clever," Old Madam Ye smiled.
Today, Qin Sui’an had been focused on her mommy for the most part, staying by her side for a long time without paying attention to the changes in the silver bracelet.
Old Madam Ye walked to her side, gently rubbing her head, and crouched down, saying, "Ann, this matter must not be known by anyone else, remember."
"We can’t let anyone else know..."
Qin Sui’an asked in confusion, "Why, Grandma? Can’t Daddy know either?"
"Yes, he can’t," Old Madam Ye rarely showed a serious expression, "Only you and I can know, no one else."
Qin Sui’an lowered her little head, her round eyes filled with confusion and puzzlement as she looked at the silver bracelet.
After a while, she seemed to vaguely understand something and nodded her little head gently, "Ann will remember."
"Good girl," Old Madam Ye lightly caressed her small face, "We will keep this secret together."
Qin Sui’an nodded her head again, "Okay!"
This was a secret between her and her grandmother.
After finishing the meeting, Qin Haochen had no intention of dealing with any more business.
He left the company and returned to his villa in the bay.
The living room had become the resting place for the six brothers.
Except for Qin Yanyi, who had left and returned midway, the others had hardly moved from the living room.
Hearing the sound of a car, all six brothers suddenly stood up and hurriedly walked towards the villa gate.
The Bentley stopped in front of the villa’s main entrance.
Qin Qianyi: "Has Ann come back?"
Qin Yaoyu: "She should have. Did Dad go to pick her up?"
The six brothers stared at the rear door of the Bentley, filled with nervousness and strong hope.
He Yan got out of the car, walked around the back, and carefully opened the rear door.
A pair of long legs touched the ground, and Qin Haochen’s tall figure walked out of the car.
His deep gaze lifted slightly, seeing a row of people standing at the villa gate. He wasn’t surprised at all and took a step forward.
He Yan closed the car door.
With a soft "click", it was as if the hopes in the hearts of the six brothers had been extinguished.
Qin Qianyi stepped forward and asked anxiously, "Dad, why are you the only one here? Where is Ann?"
Qin Yaoyu couldn’t wait, "Dad, didn’t Ann come back with you?" 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
The others also had anxious expressions, closely watching him.
Qin Haochen’s footsteps paused slightly as he said, "Ann won’t be coming back tonight."
"What?!"
These words were undoubtedly a thunderbolt from a clear sky for the other brothers.
Qin Niexun quickly walked forward, "Dad, is it because they wouldn’t let Ann leave?"
Qin Lvzheng wore a serious expression, as if ready to hold a trial at any moment, "Dad, I’ll go talk to them."
Qin Yanyi’s expression didn’t change much, but there was a hint of melancholy in his heart, even though he had expected it.
Qin Fujia had been silent all along. At this moment, his ink-black pupils looked at Qin Haochen, waiting for his answer.
"Ann has already told me that she wants to stay there for one night," Qin Haochen glanced at the time and continued walking towards the villa, heading straight to the second floor.
Qin Haochen took out a brand new children’s suitcase and carefully placed some of Ann’s belongings inside.
There wasn’t much, just a toothbrush, towels, bathrobes, a change of clothes, and the remaining dolls she liked.
He picked a few dolls that Ann usually slept with by her bedside, and the small suitcase was soon filled.
Qin Haochen looked at those dolls and wished he could transform into one himself, to accompany Ann.
With a barely perceptible sigh between his thin lips, he closed the suitcase and left the room.
The six brothers still stood at the villa gate, enveloped in a gloomy mood.
When they saw him approaching with the suitcase, Qin Qianyi seemed to have received a major blow and took two steps back, asking, "Dad, is Ann never coming home again?"
As soon as the words fell, a series of cold gazes shot towards him.
Qin Haochen couldn’t help but frown and look at him, emphasizing in a cold voice, "Ann is only staying for one night."
He opened the back door of the Bentley, bent down, and got into the car.
The Bentley arrived hastily and left in a hurry.
Arriving at the hospital entrance once again, Qin Haochen sat in the car with a children’s suitcase by his side.
After a video call, Ann had just finished eating a snack, and it wasn’t yet time for dinner.
After a moment of contemplation, Qin Haochen dialed Ann’s number.
The phone screen paused at "connecting..." and after a while, someone answered.
"Daddy!"
A soft and tender voice of Ann came through, and the screen displayed her adorable little face.
Qin Haochen smiled and said, "Ann."
Qin Sui’an held the phone, her round eyes curved, and asked, "Daddy, are you off work?"
"Yes," Qin Haochen said, "Daddy brought Ann’s luggage here, it’s now at the hospital entrance. Can Ann come out to get it?"
"Okay!"
Qin Sui’an immediately nodded her little head, and her small body slid from the sofa to the ground, ready to run towards the ward entrance.
Old Madam Ye quickly followed her, saying, "Ann, slow down, let me carry you."
"Okay!"
Qin Sui’an stopped her steps and obediently raised her little hand, allowing her grandmother to pick her up.
Old Madam Ye subtly glanced at the screen of her phone, the call hadn’t ended yet.
At the entrance, Lucy saw them leaving and didn’t ask any further, quickly walking a few steps ahead to press the elevator button for them.
A deeper smile appeared on Qin Haochen’s face.
He would be able to see Ann soon.
As they took the elevator towards the hospital entrance, Qin Haochen got out of the car
He stood by the car, holding the children’s suitcase, his gaze alternating between the screen of his phone showing Ann and the hospital entrance.
