Chapter 252: Fighting Over the Sofa

Ou Yangfu felt utterly wronged after his father’s harsh rebuke and touched his own face, "I look in the mirror every day, and I’m not ugly!"

Old Mr. Ou was at a loss for words. He waved his hand to summon two servants to take his drunken youngest son away to prevent further drunken antics in the living room.

As Ou Yangfu was being helped away, he kept shouting, "Dad! Happy sixtieth birthday! Dad! Tomorrow I’ll talk to Ye Rongyuan and..."

Before his youngest son could say anything reckless, Old Mr. Ou hurriedly ordered the servants, "Cover his mouth immediately!"

The phrase "disaster comes from the mouth" was no mere saying. Even at home, Old Mr. Ou couldn’t risk his son saying something that might offend the Ye family.

The servants promptly covered the young master’s mouth, turning his words into muffled, incomprehensible sounds.

With the youngest son gone, the living room returned to its original quiet. Old Mr. Ou sat on the sofa and wiped away a cold sweat.

He looked up at the painting on the wall again, this time with more happiness mixed into his admiration. He whispered to himself, a smile evident in his voice, "So Ann painted this. Ann is really amazing."

As he smiled, Old Mr. Ou’s expression gradually became serious again. He sighed, feeling the weight of the situation.

Back at the hospital, Old Mrs. Ye gave little one a simple wash and changed her into comfortable pajamas.

Qin Sui’an, having skipped her afternoon nap and played for a long time at the party, was completely exhausted. She allowed her grandmother to bathe and dress her, only occasionally opening her eyes before quickly falling back to sleep.

Old Mrs. Ye carried her and placed her in her special little bed, tucked her in, and bent down to kiss her forehead. "Good night, Ann."

Little one slept soundly, her breathing steady, and her cheeks a healthy pink.

Old Mrs. Ye stood by the bed for a while, smiling silently. Then she walked over to another bed, adjusted her daughter Ye Zhaosi’s blanket, looked at the two sleeping figures, and quietly left the room.

The living room was a bit noisy.

Ye Liyuan and Ye Rongyuan were fighting over the sofa, as Old Mr. Ye was the one staying overnight.

When Old Mr. Ye saw his wife come out, he walked over and shrugged helplessly, "Liyuan and Rongyuan both want to stay here."

Old Mrs. Ye frowned but understood that they wanted to spend more time with the mother and daughter in the room. She simply said, "Keep it down, don’t wake Zhaosi and Ann."

Both Ye Liyuan and Ye Rongyuan paused.

They looked at each other, still unwilling to back down.

Ye Rongyuan gritted his teeth and lowered his voice, "Second Brother, you slept inside last night. Why are you still fighting me for the sofa?"

"You slept on the sofa last night. Tonight, it’s my turn to sleep in the living room," Ye Liyuan replied.

Ye Rongyuan was speechless for a few seconds, then said, "But you slept inside last night! You should be fighting Dad for the inside spot, not me for the sofa. What kind of hero fights for the sofa?"

"I’m not a hero." Ye Liyuan stood his ground, determined to get the sofa. "You can sleep on the floor. I am your older brother."

"And I’m your younger brother! As the older brother, you should let me have it!" Ye Rongyuan was so anxious he could have jumped up and down. He never thought he’d end up fighting over a sofa, especially with his own second brother!
