Chapter 261: Not Wanting to Disturb Little One’s Life

Qin Haochen didn’t hesitate at all, affirming little one’s question with certainty, "Of course, I love her very much."

Qin Sui’an was overjoyed upon hearing this. Although it was her dad saying he liked her mom, it made her even happier than if he had said he liked her. Her little feet couldn’t help but sway, from her hair to her tiny toes, she was completely filled with joy.

"Hehe~ Ann also really loves mommy!" Qin Sui’an’s round eyes curved, her sweet childish voice like a milk candy, "Ann also really loves daddy~"

"I love Ann very much as well." The smile in Qin Haochen’s eyes deepened. Little one’s words filled him with immense pleasure, making his heart feel as soft as marshmallows. He couldn’t help but think that if his wife could hear what little one was saying, she would also be very happy.

Outside the room, there was a slight movement.

Qin Sui’an heard it and turned her head towards the direction of the room’s door.

Qin Haochen guessed it was the Ye family returning. Since little one had only had milk for breakfast, it wouldn’t be enough. He asked first, "Ann haven’t had breakfast yet?"

Little one shook her head, obediently replying, "Not yet~ Ann only finished the milk~"

Qin Haochen softened his voice, gently saying, "Then let’s have breakfast first. Later, we can video chat again in the evening, okay?"

"Okay~" Qin Sui’an was already very happy today. Waking up from her nap meant she could video chat with her mom and dad. Even though her mom was still sleeping, little one was very satisfied.

After exchanging kisses goodbye with her dad, Qin Sui’an turned the camera towards her mom again, her voice still childish, "Daddy, say bye to mommy too!"

Qin Haochen was slightly surprised at first, then smiled. Just like his farewell with little one earlier, he looked gently at his wife on the screen and said, "Sisi, goodbye."

Qin Sui’an tilted her head and gave her dad a kiss in place of her mom, "Mua~ Daddy, see you later~"

This morning’s video call ended here.

Qin Haochen remained seated without moving, still staring at the now darkened screen of his phone. He had never dared to hope he would see his wife again. He had thought he would be forever blacklisted by the Ye family, never to see her again.

But today, he saw a glimmer of hope, a hope brought to him by little one.

"Ann..." Qin Haochen murmured softly. His little one was his hope.

During these days when little one wasn’t at Bay Villa, it had become much quieter. Apart from Old Mrs. Qin and Old Mr. Qin still living there, everyone else had scattered to attend to their own matters. Moreover, they all had little one’s contact information now, so there was no need to return to Bay Villa.

In a way, little one was indispensable to the Qin family.

Qin Haochen had gotten used to finishing breakfast quietly before leaving the castle.

He Yan had been waiting at the castle gate for a long time, and seeing the president arrive later than usual, but with a faint smile on his lips, he knew it was related to Miss Ann.

He Yan didn’t ask further, respectfully opening the back door of the car. "President, good morning."

Usually, Qin Haochen just nodded slightly in response. But today, in a good mood, he replied, "Good morning."

He Yan was slightly surprised by the president’s good mood but didn’t show it. He escorted the president into the car, closing the back door.

Visibly, the president was very happy today.

He Yan sat in the passenger seat, and the driver started the engine, heading towards Qin Corporation.

Qin Haochen looked out the window, his smile still unchanged.

As if suddenly remembering something, he asked, "Any recent movements from the Ou family?"

He Yan, as the president’s special assistant, naturally possessed the qualities required of him. Combining the president’s good mood this morning, he immediately understood that it was related to Miss Ann being very happy at the banquet. When Miss Ann was happy, the president was happy, so he thought to assist the Ou family.

With this in mind, He Yan leaned slightly towards the back seat and reported, "President, Ou Group has been stable recently, with no major movements. Old Mr. Ou seems to intend to develop the dairy farm Miss Ann gave him."

He Yan was cautious and didn’t dare to rashly conclude whether Old Mr. Ou valued the dairy farm Miss Ann gave him out of consideration for someone or simply because he genuinely liked it.

"Oh?" Qin Haochen raised an eyebrow slightly, then calmly instructed, "If Old Mr. Ou has this intention, then let’s go along with it."

"Understood, President." He Yan immediately nodded and began arranging for someone to contact and support Old Mr. Ou’s dairy farm.

Glancing cautiously at the president in the back seat and seeing no intention of closing his eyes to rest, He Yan reported again, "President, news about Miss Ann’s paintings has spread, and many people are asking about her."

"Block them," Qin Haochen ordered without hesitation.

Regardless of the intentions of those asking, he didn’t want them to disturb little one’s life.

"Understood, President." He Yan nodded again.

This wasn’t the first time people had inquired about Miss Ann. It had started with chess, then piano, and now painting. Even He Yan couldn’t help but marvel—Miss Ann seemed to excel in everything she tried her hand at.

Qin Sui’an had just finished her video call with her dad when the door to her room was gently pushed open.

Old Mrs. Ye peeked in and met Qin Sui’an’s round eyes, unable to help smiling. "Ann, good morning."

"Grandma, good morning~" Qin Sui’an climbed down from the bed and dashed into her grandma’s arms. Curiously, she asked, "Where did Grandma go this morning?"

Ever since she started sleeping here, she could see Grandma every morning after waking up. It was rare to see her this late.

"There were some things to attend to, so I went to take care of them for a while." Old Mrs. Ye bent down to pick her up, carrying her out of the room and into the living room.

A nutritious breakfast was already prepared, its aroma wafting through the air. Qin Sui’an had only had milk earlier and wasn’t very hungry, but now her eyes lit up with anticipation as she blinked at the delicious spread on the table.

Seeing this, Old Mrs. Ye couldn’t help but chuckle, quickly sitting her down and starting to feed her breakfast.

Old Mr. Ye and Ye Rongyuan had also returned, accompanying little one to eat breakfast.

Qin Sui’an’s little belly slowly filled with delicious food, and finally, her attention shifted elsewhere.

Turning her little head, she curiously looked at her third uncle, "Third Uncle, didn’t you sleep last night? Your eyes are all dark like a panda~"
