Chapter 284: What Does Big Uncle Do for Work

Old Mrs. Ye carried little one back to the room, knowing the first thing little one wanted to do was see her mother. She squatted down and put little one on the ground from her arms.

Qin Sui’an immediately ran into the room’s ward, even raising her toes to avoid making noise when she ran, worried about waking her mother up. She ran to the bedside, sweetly calling out, "Mommy~ Ann is here~"

Qin Sui’an reached under the blanket, holding her mother’s hand that wasn’t receiving any injections. She happily said, "Mommy, Ann bought a beautiful painting and gave it to you~"

Although the woman lying in the hospital bed did not respond to little one in any way, her little face still showed a smile. When it came to the beautiful painting, Qin Sui’an quickly looked left and right, searching for traces of the painting.

Old Mr. Ye walked into the room with the painting and saw her anxiously looking around. He quickly walked up with a smile and said, "Ann, the painting is here."

"Thank you, Grandpa~" Qin Sui’an said in a milky voice, her round eyes curved into crescent moons.

Old Mr. Ye handed the painting to little one and patiently asked, "Where does Ann want to hang this painting?" Qin Sui’an looked at the several walls of the ward, all white and clean without any decorations. She raised her little hand and pointed to the wall directly facing the bed, then turned her head to look at Grandpa, "Grandpa, can it be hung on this wall? Mommy can see it as soon as she wakes up."

Old Mr. Ye smiled, "Sure, Grandpa will help you hang it up, just wait." He carefully placed the painting on the nearby table and then left the ward to find a stool to stand on.

Old Mrs. Ye was preparing dinner in the living room and saw him looking at the chairs, guessing what he wanted to do. She said, "I just saw the elevator go down. Whoever comes back later can hang the painting."

As soon as she finished speaking, the door of the room was gently knocked twice, and then someone pushed the door open from outside.

Old Mrs. Ye and Old Mr. Ye both looked over.

Ye Liyuan just received a new script and has been busy filming lately. Knowing little one would come over later, Ye Liyuan adjusted the filming schedule, freeing up the evening to come over and accompany little one.

He walked into the room, closed the door behind him, "Mom, Dad, has Ann arrived?"

Ye Liyuan didn’t go to the hospital’s main entrance, fearing unnecessary attention, so he entered through a side entrance. When he pressed the elevator downstairs, he wondered if little one had already arrived.

Old Mrs. Ye saw that his hat and mask were still on and rushed to enter the ward, laughing softly, "Ann just arrived, wash your hands first."

Ye Liyuan’s steps immediately stopped, he turned around and headed to the bathroom to wash his hands first, then took off his hat and mask before walking into the ward.

Qin Sui’an heard footsteps, turned her head to see the newcomer, her round eyes curved into a smile, sweetly calling out, "Second Uncle~"

"Ann." Ye Liyuan’s lips curled up as he walked up to her, hugging her soft little body and relieving his longing for little one these past few days.

Old Mr. Ye brought a small stool into the ward and said to his second son, "You’ve come at just the right time. Ann gave Zhaosi a painting. Help us hang it up." 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

"Okay." Ye Liyuan let go of little one and saw the painting on the table.

He walked over and picked it up, helping his father hang the painting on the wall directly facing the hospital bed.

Old Mrs. Ye came in and finally saw the content of the painting clearly, her eyes slightly moist. It’s no wonder little one wanted to give this painting to her mother.

Old Mrs. Ye wiped her eyes discreetly, then walked towards little one and reached out her hand, "Ann, let’s go eat dinner first."

Qin Sui’an held Grandma’s hand and followed her into the living room.

On the table in the living room, there was a sumptuous and delicious meal.

Old Mr. Ye and Ye Liyuan returned to the living room and sat down together, enjoying their dinner with little one.

Old Mrs. Ye fed little one and glanced at her second son who rarely made time for a visit, asking him, "Liyuan, have you contacted your older brother?"

Ye Liyuan shook his head lightly, "No."

Unless his older brother takes the initiative to contact them, it’s difficult for them to reach him.

Old Mrs. Ye frowned slightly and sighed quietly in her heart.

Thinking of some recent news she had heard, she said softly, "There’s been quite a bit of turmoil in the city these days. I wonder if your older brother has returned."

Ye Liyuan hesitated for a moment.

He hadn’t paid much attention to these things and didn’t want to give his mother false hope. He said, "Big brother will be fine. When he finishes his busy schedule, he’ll come back."

Old Mrs. Ye pursed her lips and sighed softly, "He’s busier than we are. He hasn’t had any free time these years."

With no free time, naturally, he hasn’t come back.

Old Mrs. Ye used some mystic arts to check that her eldest son was safe. Otherwise, she would just worry, and if she worried too much, she would make herself sick.

Ye Liyuan heard the displeasure in her words and picked up a piece of meat, putting it in her bowl, "Mom, if my big brother contacts me, I’ll tell you immediately. I won’t keep it from you."

Old Mrs. Ye glanced at him, "So you were planning to keep it from me?"

"No, I never had that plan. I just wanted to let you relax." Ye Liyuan hurriedly explained.

Old Mrs. Ye chuckled softly, "You’ve all grown up, making big decisions. I can’t control you, nor did I want to control you."

She ate the meat in her bowl and continued, "It’s just, at least take the initiative to contact us. Don’t follow your big brother’s example."

One lost contact is fine, but another one would worry their parents sick.

Ye Liyuan immediately assured her, "Mom, we won’t emulate big brother."

Qin Sui’an ate her food, her round eyes looking at Grandma and then at Second Uncle.

She listened attentively, although a bit confused. But she probably understood a bit, that Big Uncle is very naughty, doesn’t contact Grandma and Grandpa, and worries them.

Second Uncle and Third Uncle shouldn’t emulate Big Uncle, and she shouldn’t emulate Big Uncle either.

Qin Sui’an blinked her round eyes, a puzzled question popping into her head.

She knew Second Uncle was a big star, and Third Uncle worked in the group like her father. But what about Big Uncle?

It seems like Grandma and Grandpa, or the two uncles, have never mentioned Big Uncle’s job.

Thinking of this, Qin Sui’an was extremely curious. After swallowing the food in her mouth, she asked in a milky voice full of confusion, "Grandma, what does Big Uncle do for work?"
