Qin Haochen held her in his arms, kissed the top of her head, and softly explained, "I had something to take care of after we finished eating, so it took a while."
He noticed the Barbie dolls and smiled, asking, "Ann, did you dress up the dolls again?"
"Yes~" Qin Sui’an’s momentary displeasure vanished instantly, and she asked expectantly in her childish voice, "Daddy, do the Barbie dolls look pretty?"
"They look beautiful, even better than before. Ann, you have a great sense of style," Qin Haochen praised generously, making the little one smile with delight.
Seeing that he had spent some time at the Qin household, Zhu Xiulin decided it was time to leave.
Qin Haochen, holding the little one, courteously saw him off to the castle gate.
Qin Sui’an reminded her father, "Daddy, don’t forget the painting for Master!"
"Don’t worry, Ann. It’s already been taken care of," Qin Haochen said with a smile, glad that the little one hadn’t forgotten the return gift.
As they reached the gate, the bodyguard brought the framed painting and placed it in Zhu Xiulin’s car.
This visit to the Qin household had been fruitful for Zhu Xiulin; he received a self-portrait and gained a new little disciple. He left with a smile on his face.
He rolled down the car window and waved at the little one, "Ann, goodbye."
Although he had already said goodbye to the little one before getting in the car, he wanted to hear her sweet voice and see her adorable face once more.
Qin Sui’an, held by her father, waved her little hand energetically, "Goodbye, Master~"
Only after Zhu Xiulin’s car disappeared from sight did Qin Haochen carry the little one back into the castle. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
It was time for her afternoon nap. Qin Haochen gently asked, "Ann, are you sleepy? Shall we take a nap first?"
"Um..." Qin Sui’an yawned, her little mouth open, "Ann is sleepy..."
"Alright," Qin Haochen said, carrying her upstairs while instructing a bodyguard to inform the elderly couple in the living room admiring the painting to take a rest and not get too excited.
The bodyguard conveyed the message to the Qin family elders, who, as predicted, were visibly excited.
Old Mrs. Qin smiled dotingly, "Why don’t we hang this painting in our bedroom?"
"Good, good! Let’s hang it in our bedroom!" Old Mr. Qin clapped and laughed, "That way, we can see Ann before we sleep and when we wake up."
The bodyguard knocked on the living room door and respectfully delivered the president’s message: "Madam, Sir, the president has taken Miss Ann to rest and hopes you both will also take a rest and not get too excited."
Old Mrs. Qin nodded to the bodyguard and smiled, "Haochen is so thoughtful, but we aren’t excited."
"Exactly, we aren’t excited at all!" Old Mr. Qin agreed and handed the painting to the bodyguard, "Since you’re here, help us hang this in our bedroom."
"Of course, Sir." The bodyguard carefully took the painting and hung it in their bedroom as instructed.
After the painting was hung, Old Mrs. Qin and Old Mr. Qin washed up briefly and lay on the bed, not sleeping but just staring at the painting.
Old Mrs. Qin’s gaze fixed on the image of her granddaughter in the painting. The smile on her face slowly turned to worry, "Our Ann won’t be in any danger, will she?"
