Up ahead, the subordinate in the front passenger seat respectfully answered, "Boyce, it’s definitely Qin Qianyi, the young master of the Qin family."
The street was quiet. He had been vigilant and observed Qin Qianyi closely. It was not difficult to recognize the young master of the Qin family.
From the backseat, a questioning voice came:
"The Qin family... has a little kid?"
The man frowned, his expression darkening slightly as he thought about it.
"Boyce, I’ll look into it now." The subordinate was unaware of this matter.
A minute later, he respectfully reported the findings to the man in the backseat, "Boyce, the Qin family recently hosted a banquet. The young lady who went missing three years ago has returned. Perhaps the bicycle Qin Qianyi had strapped to his motorcycle was intended for this young lady."
In an instant, the atmosphere in the car became tense and was covered by an indistinct emotion.
The subordinate cautiously glanced at the rearview mirror and saw their leader looking bewildered, as if shocked by some significant news.
Did he say something wrong?
He cautiously asked, "Boyce?"
In the backseat, the man suddenly came to his senses and asked in a hushed tone, "What’s the name of the Qin family’s young lady?"
The subordinate checked his phone and then replied, "Her name is Qin Sui’an."
The car fell silent once again.
The subordinate carefully checked the rearview mirror. This time, he kept quiet, lowering his presence.
The man in the backseat resumed his original calm demeanor, as if the brief emotional outburst had been nothing more than an illusion.
He turned his head, gazing calmly out the car window, though his eyes betrayed a turbulent emotion beneath.
Ann...
Is Ann back?
He was eager to personally confirm this news.
The man glanced at the two people in front.
Even though they were his subordinates, whom he had promoted himself, he could not afford to let his guard down in their line of work.
Especially considering the possible involvement of Ann.
The man’s hand, resting by his side, tightened slowly as he suppressed all personal emotions.
No rush.
Once everything settles—
In just a few minutes, the man returned to his composed self, as if nothing had affected him.
As the four luxury cars left the quiet street, the motorcycle sped on, heading straight for Bay Villa.
Upon arriving at Bay Villa’s entrance, Qin Sui’an, who had been waiting eagerly in the living room for her brother’s return, immediately brightened up and cheered, "Grandpa, Grandma, my big brother is back!"
Old Mr. Qin looked in surprise towards the castle entrance.
Back already?
But it still sounded quiet outside.
Just as he thought this, the loud roar of the motorcycle began to be heard.
Old Mrs. Qin laughed, "Ah, he really is back. Only Qianyi would ride a motorcycle like that."
Qin Sui’an scrambled off the sofa, running eagerly towards the castle entrance, her little legs running as fast as they could.
Mr. Qin and Old Mrs. Qin followed their granddaughter outside.
Qin Qianyi kept the round trip time strictly within half an hour. His motorcycle had not even stopped yet when he saw a small, cute figure running out of the castle through his helmet.
He couldn’t help but smile and immediately revved the engine, speeding up.
With a stylish drift, the motorcycle skidded to a stop right at the castle’s main entrance.
Qin Qianyi took off his helmet, dismounted, and loudly said, "Ann, I’ve bought your bicycle!"
Qin Sui’an ran straight to the back of the motorcycle and, seeing the bicycle tied there, her eyes widened in excitement, "Big brother, is this Ann’s bicycle?"
"Yes! Do you like it?" Qin Qianyi quickly untied the ropes and placed the bicycle on the ground.
He measured the height between his sister and the bicycle and laughed, "I have a good eye! It’s perfect! This bicycle looks like it was custom-made for Ann!"
Qin Sui’an, full of curiosity, walked around the bicycle, examining it from every angle.
Then she turned her little head to look at the motorcycle parked nearby.
The only thing the bicycle had in common with the motorcycle was the two wheels and the handlebar; everything else was different.
Qin Qianyi watched her with a smile, enjoying her curiosity as she alternated between examining the bicycle and the motorcycle. Her adorable and novel expressions were irresistible.
He refrained from interrupting her exploration, standing by with a loving smile.
After a while, Qin Sui’an, having compared everything, seemed to discover something new. She looked up at her brother and asked sweetly, "Big brother, do you pedal to make the bicycle move?"
"Yes! How did you know, Ann?" Qin Qianyi squatted down and gently hugged her.
She smiled and said, "Your motorcycle doesn’t have anything to pedal."
Qin Qianyi, seeing her cute little face, gave her a kiss as if he had found a precious treasure and said, "Ann is so smart!"
Old Mr. Qin, who had been watching from afar, shook his head and said, "Qianyi, always finding an excuse to be affectionate."
Old Mrs. Qin glanced at him and chuckled, "Are you jealous?"
Old Mr. Qin snorted but did not refute.
Just after five in the afternoon, the sun had shifted slightly, but the sunlight was still glaring.
Since it was Ann’s first time learning to ride a bicycle, Old Mrs. Qin worried about her getting hurt and had a set of protective gear prepared.
Once the gear arrived, they would practice on a shaded lawn to avoid pain if she fell.
Qin Sui’an obediently stood still as her big brother helped her put on the wrist, elbow, knee, and ankle guards, along with a small helmet.
With the pink protective gear on, little Sui’an looked even cuter than the pink mini bicycle, so adorable it was hard to look away.
"Ah, so cute! How can my little sister be so adorable?"
Through the small helmet, Qin Qianyi couldn’t resist giving her a few more kisses. Then he took out his phone, holding Ann next to the bicycle, and took an incredibly cute photo of her.
Qin Sui’an’s big, round eyes sparkled with excitement. She waited for a while but didn’t see her big brother come to teach her how to ride.
She urged him eagerly, "Big brother, Ann wants to learn~"
"Okay, okay, I’ll teach you right away!" Qin Qianyi took several photos, picked one where his sister’s face wasn’t visible, and posted it on his social media with the caption:
[My sister!]
The two words with an exclamation mark easily conveyed Qin Qianyi’s proud and boastful tone.
