Bennett heard the commotion outside, cursed Dong Zhenhong, and then got out of the car. He ordered his people, "Take the money! Follow me!"

He looked at Boyce and then at the truck. Boyce seemed to notice his hesitation and said, "You go first."
Bennett initially thought he had done enough by escorting Boyce this far and that it was already a great favor. But when he heard Boyce say he should go first, Bennett hesitated again. He had never met anyone so righteous that even in a moment of crisis, they still thought about not dragging him down.
Bennett closed his eyes, seeming to make a decision. He said, "We’ll go together."
Dong Zhenhong, being a distance away, couldn’t hear what Bennett and Boyce were saying.
