Chapter 333: Big Uncle is So Noisy

The two brothers left one after the other, and Ye Xiaoyuan followed slowly behind the little one.

Qin Sui’an heard her brothers talking with big uncle, but she was more interested in the small Buddha statues that could talk.

After wandering around the temple for a while, Qin Sui’an finally turned towards big uncle with her hands outstretched. "Big uncle, hug~"

Ye Xiaoyuan was taken aback for a moment, then squatted down and picked up the eagerly offered little one.

This was the first time he had held the little one. Both the soft little body in his arms and the faint, barely perceptible scent of milk were unfamiliar to Ye Xiaoyuan.

Qin Sui’an, however, didn’t notice the subtle difference in big uncle’s demeanor. Leaning against him, she sighed, "Ann is so tired..."

Walking around had worn her out, and her little ears were tired too.

"Well, rest well then." Ye Xiaoyuan tried not to make his movements too stiff and gently patted her back.

Ye Xiaoyuan looked down at the little one with her small brows furrowed in a cute expression. He asked, "Does Ann still want to walk around?"

"No more walking." Qin Sui’an shook her little head and patted her stomach. "Big uncle, Ann is a little hungry."

Ye Xiaoyuan smiled and said, "Then let’s go to the Dining Hall."

He carried the little one out of the hall.

As he was trying to figure out which way led to the Dining Hall, a tiny hand pointed to the right, accompanied by a soft, sweet voice.

"Big uncle, go that way. That’s the Dining Hall!"

Ye Xiaoyuan was startled. "Alright."

Was he that obvious? Even the little one noticed.

Ye Xiaoyuan followed the direction the little one pointed, not realizing that Qin Sui’an was looking at him with a puzzled expression.

Qin Sui’an’s confusion was even greater than when she had heard the talking Buddha statues earlier.

How strange...

She clearly heard big uncle asking where the Dining Hall was, but it seemed big uncle wasn’t actually asking.

Oh, Ann’s ears are so weird today...

Qin Sui’an was really exhausted, her small body leaning softly against big uncle, and just as she was about to rest her ears, she heard big uncle speaking again.

"Is it because you’re still drinking milk?"

Hmm? Who’s still drinking milk?

Qin Sui’an blinked her round eyes and looked up at big uncle.

No, big uncle wasn’t speaking.

But the voice was definitely big uncle’s.

Qin Sui’an looked around.

At this moment, most of the people in the temple had already gone to the Dining Hall, and the path was empty except for her and big uncle.

Qin Sui’an rubbed her ears.

Oh, Ann’s ears are weird again...

Qin Sui’an slumped back into big uncle’s embrace, wondering if her ears were sick.

Second brother is a doctor; maybe she should ask him to check her ears.

They were not far from the Dining Hall, and Ye Xiaoyuan felt inexplicably melancholic as he approached.

Was this path really so short? 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

He wanted to hold Ann a little longer.

Qin Sui’an looked up, her round eyes reflecting big uncle’s slightly pursed lips.

As expected, big uncle still wasn’t speaking.

Throughout the journey, she had heard big uncle speak a lot, but whenever she looked up to respond, she found big uncle’s mouth closed, as if he hadn’t spoken at all.

If there were a third person around, Qin Sui’an would definitely think the words were coming from that person.

But it was only her and big uncle.

So strange, so very strange.

As they neared the Dining Hall, the voices she heard became more numerous.

"This is my first time eating at the temple’s Dining Hall. Sigh, there’s no oil or fat..."

"The taste is really bland. No wonder the monks here aren’t chubby."

"After this meal, I’ll go eat roast meat in the evening... No, I’m still at the temple. Amitabha."

Her hearing, already better than usual, was overwhelmed by the chatter, making her head feel dizzy.

Noticing that the little one in his arms seemed uncomfortable with her head buried against his chest, Ye Xiaoyuan stopped immediately. "Ann? Ann?"

This time, Qin Sui’an didn’t even look up to check if big uncle was speaking. She just shook her little head slightly. "Big uncle, it’s so noisy..."
