As soon as the ten minutes were up, the game alarm set by Qin Yaoyu rang, and his pants were nearly pulled down by Qin Qianyi in a panic. Qin Yaoyu lay in the flowers, pulling at his pants.
"Is it really necessary to be this serious? I’m your brother!" Qin Qianyi, luckily quick on her feet, would have missed catching Fifth Brother otherwise. "I wanted to ask you the same! It’s just a game, Fifth Brother, are you trying to cheat?"
"I’m not cheating! You didn’t catch me just now!" Qin Yaoyu restored his pants and crawled out of the flowers. Qin Qianyi followed him, smiling brightly after winning the game.
"Fifth Brother, we were playing hide-and-seek, not cops and robbers. Oh, whatever, I caught you anyway, hehe~" Qin Yaoyu climbed out of the flowers, frustrated and covered in grass bits, still having lost.
Seeing Third Brother standing by to watch, he suddenly thought of something and turned to glare at Sixth Brother.
"You deliberately didn’t enter the basketball court." Qin Yaoyu knew Ann was hiding inside, so he stayed in the nearby flowers.
"I didn’t! I really didn’t know Ann was hiding in there. I went over to the golf course, thinking Ann would hide far away."
At first, Qin Qianyi did guess Ann might go to the golf course since she had been there before and it was quite far, making it hard for him to find her. He even took a round at the golf course, pretending not to notice if Ann was hiding there. Unfortunately, he never got the chance to act.
When he saw Third Brother appearing, Qin Qianyi realized Ann was hiding inside the indoor basketball court. Qin Qianyi looked at Third Brother.
"Third Brother, you saw Ann, right?" If he hadn’t seen her, how would he know the ten minutes were almost up? Ann must have told Third Brother how much time was left.
"I saw her. Ann hid very well." Qin Lvzheng didn’t hide this, glancing at Fifth Brother and Sixth Brother, honestly saying, "Neither of you is reliable."
Although Qin Yaoyu lost, he could still laugh and retort, "Third Brother, Ann is looking forward to playing outside."
Qin Lvzheng already knew this; otherwise, he wouldn’t have come out to distract Sixth Brother and let Ann win and be happy.
Qin Qianyi glanced at Third Brother. "Third Brother, you didn’t say that in front of Ann, did you?" "I didn’t say it out loud." But he truly didn’t want Ann to go out with unreliable brothers.
Qin Qianyi guessed blindly, "You thought it in your heart?" Qin Lvzheng frowned, puzzled, and shot him a glance. "Isn’t it okay to think in my heart?" Qin Yaoyu felt a bit schadenfreude.
"Third Brother, Ann isn’t angry with you, right?"
"Why would she be angry with me?"
However, Qin Lvzheng felt that Ann seemed a bit unhappy. Thinking this, he couldn’t help touching his face. "Am I that obvious?"
Qin Yaoyu and Qin Qianyi exchanged glances, each understanding the other’s thoughts and not mentioning that Ann could hear their inner thoughts. When Qin Yaoyu first arrived home, Qin Qianyi had played a trick on him, almost embarrassing him in front of Ann. Eldest Brother and Second Brother really should have told them immediately that Ann could read minds. Now seeing Third Brother also clueless made Qin Yaoyu very happy.
Qin Sui’an had a phone with an alarm as well, and when the game-ending alarm rang, she happily crawled out of her little corner, her short legs pattering as she ran out. At the basketball court entrance, she saw her Third Brother, Fifth Brother, and Sixth Brother standing near the flowers, very close to her. Qin Sui’an cheered and ran toward them.
"Ann won! Sixth Brother didn’t find Ann!"
Qin Qianyi reacted the quickest, running toward Ann, bending down to pick her up. "Wow, Ann hid so well! But give me some time, next time I will definitely find Ann!"
This was half true, as he wanted to take Ann out to play and naturally didn’t want to find her, but in the final moments, he was busy outsmarting Fifth Brother and didn’t have time to find out where Ann was hiding in the basketball court.
Qin Yaoyu walked over. "Sixth Brother, playing hide-and-seek is tiring; let me hold Ann."
He hadn’t held Ann much today! If he waited any longer, Ann would go to sleep, and he wouldn’t be able to hold her at all.
"No, I’m not tired at all." Qin Qianyi shook his head in refusal. Qin Yaoyu felt genuinely frustrated.
"You’ve already won the game and can play with Ann now; can’t you just let me hold Ann for a moment?"
Qin Qianyi, feeling magnanimous, handed the decision to his sister. "Alright then, let’s see who Ann wants to be held by."
Qin Yaoyu immediately stretched out his hands to Ann. "Ann, I want to hold you."
Qin Sui’an blinked her big round eyes, thinking Fifth Brother’s words were quite right, nodding her little head.
"Okay~"
Qin Yaoyu wasted no time, scooping Ann into his arms.
He wiped the sweat from Ann’s forehead with his sleeve. "Look at Ann, all sweaty! It’s all Sixth Brother’s fault for taking so long to find her."
Qin Qianyi called out loudly, "Who was the one digging around in the flowers? Right, Fifth Brother!" The two bickered like elementary school students, one sentence after another, while Qin Sui’an listened happily, gazing at her two brothers "arguing."
In the past, Ann would have thought they were genuinely quarreling, but now that she could hear Fifth Brother and the Sixth Brother’s thoughts, she understood they were just playing, so she wasn’t worried at all.
Qin Lvzheng could no longer tolerate his two younger brothers, whose psychological ages were much younger than their actual ages. "Don’t scare Ann." He actually wanted to say stop arguing; it was really childish, even more so than their three-and-a-half-year-old sister.
Qin Sui’an lifted her little face, beaming innocently. "Ann isn’t childish; Fifth Brother and the Sixth Brother are childish!"
Qin Yaoyu immediately looked at Third Brother. "Third Brother, were you secretly thinking I and Sixth Brother are childish?"
Qin Qianyi wholeheartedly agreed. "Definitely!"
Qin Lvzheng: ...
What’s happening today? Is my expression management not on point? How could they see through me so easily?
Qin Lvzheng reached out to touch his face and sincerely asked, "Is it that obvious?"
Qin Yaoyu shook his head. "No."
Qin Lvzheng straightforwardly asked, "Then how did you all know I was talking about you being childish?"
Qin Yaoyu and Qin Qianyi replied simultaneously, "Ann said so."
Qin Sui’an, the little one, cutely raised her little hand to speak. "Ann heard! Third Brother said Fifth Brother and the Sixth Brother are more childish than Ann! Ann is only three and a half years old!"
Qin Lvzheng’s expression froze in that instant.
