Qin Lvzheng doubted his ears, wondering if he had misheard or accidentally spoken his thoughts aloud. He stood there in a daze for several seconds, then uncertainly looked at Fifth and Sixth Brothers, asking in an questioned tone, "Did I just say it out loud?"
Qin Yaoyu and Qin Qianyi both shook their heads. "No, Third Brother, you didn’t say it out loud."
That’s right. Qin Lvzheng remembered he hadn’t spoken it.
A new question arose. If he hadn’t said it, how did Ann know what he was thinking? And even repeated it perfectly? Qin Lvzheng was once again baffled, unable to figure out where things had gone wrong.
Seeing Third Brother’s confused reaction, Qin Yaoyu couldn’t help but smile. No wonder Sixth Brother had played a trick on him! It was so amusing to see someone else in a fog!
With a cheerful grin, Qin Yaoyu leaned closer to Third Brother. "Come on, guess how Ann knows what you’re thinking!"
Qin Lvzheng felt his brain spinning, unable to come up with a reason. He shook his head in surrender. "I don’t know; I can’t guess."
Qin Yaoyu teased Third Brother’s curiosity, calming down after being tricked by Sixth Brother. He gently patted Ann’s little head, proudly lifting his chin. "Alright, Ann, you tell Third Brother!"
In contrast to her Fifth Brother’s pride, Qin Sui’an felt extremely shy. She pouted her little lips and said bashfully, "Third Brother, Ann has mind-reading ability!"
Worried that her Third Brother wouldn’t understand what "mind-reading" meant, Qin Sui’an added sweetly in her soft voice, "It means Ann can hear what Third Brother is thinking~ So Ann knows Third Brother said Fifth Brother and the Sixth Brother are childish~ More childish than Ann~"
Qin Qianyi finally understood, feigning anger. He exclaimed, lightly poking Ann’s nose with his fingertip. "Ann, if I’m more childish than you, why are you so happy about it?"
This was the second time Ann repeated that statement, showing just how happy it made her.
"Hehe~" Qin Sui’an couldn’t hide her happiness, her big round eyes turning into crescent moons.
Qin Qianyi’s "anger" immediately dissolved, unable to resist smiling at her cuteness. "Alright, I won’t hold it against you, since Ann is so adorable."
Qin Lvzheng replayed Ann’s words in his mind, still struggling to comprehend. "Mind-reading?" It didn’t sound real. But Ann couldn’t be lying to them.
Hearing this, Qin Sui’an quickly waved her little hands and said earnestly, "Third Brother, Ann isn’t lying. Everything Ann says is true!"
Qin Lvzheng was once again stunned. It seemed she really could hear his thoughts! No, it wasn’t just a coincidence!
Once could be an accident, but this had happened several times. No wonder he felt unable to hide his thoughts since meeting Ann; it turned out she was genuinely hearing them.
"Can Ann really read people’s minds?" Qin Lvzheng gradually began to accept this revelation.
Qin Sui’an nodded vigorously. "Yes, really!" 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
Qin Yaoyu and Qin Qianyi both nodded in agreement, saying in unison, "It’s true, Third Brother."
With his siblings’ affirming responses, Qin Lvzheng continued, "So, is it just me that Ann hears?" If so, wouldn’t he be the unique one?
Qin Yaoyu frowned slightly, sensing something more in Third Brother’s words. "How could that be! Ann can hear everyone’s thoughts! Even what the big white goose is thinking, Ann can tell!"
Qin Lvzheng felt a hint of regret. It turned out he wasn’t the unique one after all.
Qin Qianyi let out a small hum. "Third Brother, you’re just like us. Ann is truly one of a kind."
After saying this, Qin Qianyi pinched Ann’s soft, chubby cheeks. "Our Ann is the only one!" What was Third Brother, just a slightly impressive lawyer?
Qin Yaoyu agreed with Sixth Brother. "Third Brother, we’re all just ordinary people."
Qin Lvzheng silently looked at his two younger brothers, feeling somewhat speechless.
Meanwhile, Qin Haochen was in the castle’s living room. Noticing it was time for the little one to get ready for bed, he stood up and headed outside.
After asking the bodyguard, he learned the little one was over at the indoor basketball court, so he made his way there.
From a distance, he saw the little one with her brothers by the flowers, seemingly just chatting. He called out first, "Ann."
Qin Sui’an heard the voice and immediately turned her little head to look back, spotting her father coming closer.
She happily waved her little hand. "Daddy~ Ann is here!"
Qin Haochen replied, "Daddy sees you."
While Qin Sui’an was the happiest to see her father, the other three brothers sighed inwardly.
Oh no, Dad’s here, and Ann has to go to sleep; they wouldn’t get to hold Ann anymore.
Qin Lvzheng felt the worst; he had just started spending time with Ann and hadn’t even held her yet.
Qin Sui’an looked at her three brothers, unsure of whom to comfort first. It was a bit difficult to balance things out.
Her little face was filled with worry. "Third Brother, Fifth Brother, Sixth Brother, don’t be sad! Ann can still play with you tomorrow~"
Qin Qianyi clapped his hands, his mood brightening instantly as he grinned. "Right! I didn’t find Ann when we played hide-and-seek, hehe, so I can still go out with Ann next time!"
Although Qin Yaoyu hadn’t won in the game against Sixth Brother, at least he felt slightly better knowing Third Brother was worse off.
Third Brother was the most unfortunate; he had just met Ann, and now she had to sleep.
Seeing someone worse off than himself lifted Qin Yaoyu’s spirits a bit.
Qin Lvzheng suddenly felt very down; no one could be more down than him.
Noticing her brothers had cheered up, Qin Sui’an turned her attention to Third Brother, who looked even sadder than before.
She quickly approached him, speaking in her sweet, soft voice. "Third Brother, don’t be sad! Ann will play with you first tomorrow! Okay?"
Qin Sui’an raised her cute little index finger, her big round eyes looking at Third Brother with utmost sincerity, her soft voice emphasizing, "You’ll be first, Third Brother!"
