Thinking about how nice Sister Yiyin was to her, Qin Sui’an asked, "Uncle, do you know where Sister Yiyin goes to kindergarten?" 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"I kind of forgot," Ye Rongyuan scratched the back of his head. "Does Ann want to know? Let me ask."
As he spoke, Ye Rongyuan took out his phone and called his assistant. Even though it was after work hours, the high-paid assistant answered right away without delay.
Just under a minute later, the assistant had quickly gathered a brief profile on Shi Yiyin, with clear and straightforward information.
Ye Rongyuan crouched down again, hugging Ann with one arm while looking at the phone with the information.
Qin Sui’an was paying attention, but with limited reading skills, she felt confused and said, "Uncle, Ann can’t understand."
"Oh right, I forgot. Ann hasn’t started school yet," Ye Rongyuan chuckled. Ann usually acted so smart that he unconsciously assumed she understood everything.
Ye Rongyuan patiently read out the information Ann wanted to know: "This little friend, Shi Yiyin, is in the top class at Isty Kindergarten."
Upon hearing this, Qin Sui’an’s eyes lit up. "That’s the kindergarten Ann liked before!"
"Hmm?" Ye Rongyuan was unaware that her father, Qin Haochen, had previously shown Ann some kindergarten options. At that time, Ann had chosen Isty Kindergarten.
Later, Qin Haochen had sent He Yan to inspect it, planning to take Ann to visit the kindergarten in a few days and finalize everything if it seemed good.
"Daddy is going to take Ann to that kindergarten!" Qin Sui’an was visibly happy, especially since she would have familiar faces there.
Ye Rongyuan raised an eyebrow in surprise. "That’s quite a coincidence! Let’s make sure this Shi Yiyin takes good care of our Ann."
With the topic of kindergarten wrapped up for now, the little guide, Qin Sui’an, led her uncle to the garden.
The night garden was lit by orange streetlights, and the air was filled with the faint fragrance of flowers and grass, making for a lovely scene.
Ye Rongyuan looked around, appreciating the spaciousness of the place; such a large garden must cover dozens of square meters. The Qin family also employed someone to tend to the garden, making it all the more refreshing.
Qin Sui’an pointed to the largest flower patch. "Uncle, that one has been remodeled!"
Ye Rongyuan walked a few steps over and noticed that, apart from being bigger than the others, there didn’t seem to be anything particularly special about it. Was this where Ann liked to hide and play with that goose?
If it weren’t dark, Ye Rongyuan might have ventured in to investigate what made it so special for Ann and the goose.
Just as he thought that, Qin Sui’an, very seriously, tugged at his pants. "Uncle, we can go in here; the grass isn’t as thick."
When remodeling the flower patch, Qin Haochen had instructed them to leave a "door" for the little one to come and go easily. Outside the "door" appeared to be a dense patch of grass, but with a gentle push, it opened up like a gate.
The flower patch inside wasn’t as bright as outside, and Ye Rongyuan knew that if he went in, Ann would follow. He stopped her enthusiastic invitation: "Next time, let’s wait until it’s light outside to go in."
After all, since they were at the Qin family’s house today, there would be plenty of opportunities to return.
Ye Rongyuan slightly crouched down to peek into the flower patch. "No goose in here."
Qin Sui’an hadn’t heard any sounds from the big white goose and shook her little head. "The big white goose isn’t in the garden."
Ye Rongyuan didn’t think much of it. With Bay Villa being so large, there were plenty of places for that goose to roam.
After exploring the garden, Ye Rongyuan grew curious about another part of Bay Villa. "Ann, did your dad build you a dairy farm?"
"Uh-huh! Ann’s dairy farm is over there!" Qin Sui’an immediately pointed in the direction of the farm. "Ann has a hundred cows; they were a gift from my second brother."
Following her instruction, Ye Rongyuan caught a glimpse of some illuminated fences in the distance but couldn’t see clearly.
Qin Sui’an was excited, tugging on her uncle’s pants as she headed toward the cows. "Uncle, Ann will take you to see the cows!"
Unable to refuse her enthusiasm, Ye Rongyuan laughed and followed.
However, he didn’t expect the grounds of Bay Villa to be so vast, and the dairy farm so far away.
After walking for nearly five minutes, Ye Rongyuan saw they were still quite a distance from the dairy farm. Just as he worried Ann might get too tired, she chimed in:
"Uncle, Ann isn’t tired." Qin Sui’an felt they were moving slowly and sincerely suggested, "Uncle, let’s run there!"
Ye Rongyuan calculated silently in his head; it had been over half an hour since they finished eating. "Alright, let’s run there; it’ll be quicker."
Ye Rongyuan kept pace with Ann, adjusting his speed to match hers while carefully making sure she wouldn’t fall.
At that moment, Qin Sui’an was eager to show her uncle her cows. If only she could dash to the dairy farm as quickly as the big white goose had, that would be fantastic.
She remembered how fast the goose had been when it snatched the pig’s trotter; it was so quick that neither she nor her brother could catch a glimpse of it.
On her wrist, the silver bracelet sensed its little owner’s obsession with "running fast," emitting a faint glow that warmly enveloped her.
Ye Rongyuan had been paying attention to Ann and, for a moment, thought he saw her glowing. But in the blink of an eye, that light vanished, leaving him wondering if it was just his imagination.
Then, in the next second, Ye Rongyuan froze in place, a look of shock on his face.
He saw the little three-and-a-half-year-old girl, as if aided by some unseen force, suddenly sprinting away with incredible speed, her adorable little legs creating a blur. In mere seconds, she vanished before him, reaching the dairy farm that he had thought was still a bit far away.
Ye Rongyuan: Ah???
Was he seeing things?
He stood there dazed for a moment before quickly rubbing his eyes.
No, he wasn’t mistaken. Ann wasn’t beside him anymore; she had already reached their destination—the dairy farm.
What was happening?
Qin Sui’an felt like she was running faster and stopped at the dairy farm. "Uncle, this is Ann’s dairy farm! Huh—where’s Uncle?"
Qin Sui’an turned her little head from side to side, searching for her uncle. When she spotted him standing far away, she was puzzled and raised her little hand, waving vigorously. "Uncle! Uncle!"
How could her uncle run slower than Ann? After all, he was an adult!
