The host of the party was grinning widely, while his parents were still lingering a short distance away. Bai Aiya noticed her husband Bai Binghua wasn’t moving, so she discreetly tugged at his sleeve and then linked her arm with his, leading him toward the Qin family.
With a standard smile that showed eight teeth, Bai Aiya greeted, "Grandma Qin, Grandpa Qin, Mr. Qin, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to attend my son Bai Zhou’s birthday party."
Bai Binghua also smiled broadly, "Mr. Qin, it’s truly an honor for our Bai Zhou!" 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
Qin Lvzheng was ready to retort when he saw Bai Binghua, as he hadn’t forgotten how Bai Binghua had previously blamed his sister Ann. However, before he could say anything, he caught the warning look from his grandmother, Old Mrs. Qin.
He obediently shut his mouth, suppressing his urge to argue. Fine, fine, today was still the birthday of that guy’s son; he would let it go this time.
Just as Bai Aiya, Bai Binghua, and Bai Zhou finished greeting the Qin family, a Maserati drove into the Bai family mansion, parking next to the Qin family’s luxury car.
Bai Aiya exchanged a glance with her husband, both puzzled about which family this luxury car belonged to, when they heard a sweet little voice exclaim, "Grandma and Grandpa are here! And there’s Uncle!"
Qin Sui’an had excellent hearing; even in the not-so-quiet environment, she was unaffected. She was the first to hear the chatter from the car—it was her family.
Old Mrs. Qin looked over at the Maserati with a smile, "Ann is amazing." It was indeed her in-laws’ car.
The back door of the Maserati was pushed open from the inside. As soon as they entered the Bai family mansion, Ye Rongyuan spotted the Ann he had been thinking about. Unable to wait for the bodyguard to open the door, he got out of the car and strode toward Ann.
"Ann!" Ye Rongyuan hurried over and squatted down, his eyes reflecting Ann’s adorable figure, his affectionate gaze unmistakable. "Ann looks so beautiful! This dress is truly blessed to be worn by you!"
Qin Sui’an’s face flushed with the compliment, her small mouth pouting shyly as her sweet little voice made hearts soften, "Uncle looks good too~"
Qin Niexun’s sharp eyes caught the color of Ye Rongyuan’s tie, and he narrowed his eyes. He lightly elbowed his third brother Qin Lvzheng and whispered, "Third brother, why does his tie match ours?"
Could there be a traitor in the family? Were they leaking information to the Ye family?
Qin Lvzheng also noticed the color of Ye Rongyuan’s tie and frowned slightly but said nothing. Although there were many bodyguards in the Qin family, they were all loyal to the Qin family; it was impossible for anyone to betray them, unless they were courting death.
At that moment, Qin Sui’an, curious, glanced toward the Maserati’s back seat and tilted her little head in confusion, "Why aren’t Grandma and Grandpa getting out?"
Ye Rongyuan smiled, touching his tie as he leaned close to Ann’s ear and softly explained, "Your grandpa is choosing the tie color; your grandma is helping him put it on."
Qin Sui’an blinked her round eyes, seeming to understand. Ye Rongyuan had hastily picked out a tie that resembled Ann’s dress color from hundreds of different colors after arriving at the Bai family mansion.
Meanwhile, Old Mr. Ye was busy putting on a tie that matched Ann’s dress color. As for Old Mrs. Ye—Ye Rongyuan felt a bit frustrated thinking about it.
It seemed his mom had known what color dress Ann would wear and had prepared a similar dress for herself in advance. If he had known, he could have chosen a tie that matched his mom’s dress, rather than hurriedly picking one after arriving at the Bai family mansion.
At that moment, Ye Rongyuan finally realized. He cursed himself for not thinking more thoroughly.
Qin Lvzheng couldn’t hear what Ye Rongyuan was whispering to Ann, so he glanced at his fourth brother Qin Niexun, "What did Ye Rongyuan say?"
Qin Niexun, with better hearing than Ann but not as good as hers, caught Ye Rongyuan’s explanation. He understood and said, "Third brother, we don’t have a traitor in the family; he just put on that tie after seeing Ann."
Qin Lvzheng immediately understood, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly, "He’s clever."
Old Mr. Ye and Old Mrs. Ye stepped out of the back seat one after the other.
Qin Sui’an took her little short legs and beamed as she ran over, "Grandma~ Grandpa~"
Old Mr. Ye smiled lovingly at his granddaughter, "Ann."
"Ann." Old Mrs. Ye bent down and gently hugged her granddaughter, "You look so beautiful today."
"Thank you, Grandma; you look beautiful too!" Qin Sui’an’s round eyes sparkled, freely giving her praise.
Old Mrs. Ye smiled and took her soft little hand, leading her toward the Qin family.
Bai Aiya felt a bit intimidated by Old Mrs. Ye; although Old Mrs. Qin was also serious, she didn’t have the same sharpness as Old Mrs. Ye. She really didn’t know what kind of luck they had tonight—both the elders from the Qin family and the Ye family came to her son’s birthday party.
Bai Aiya secretly clenched her hands, forcing a pleasant smile as she greeted the Ye family, "Old Mrs. Ye, Old Mr. Ye, President Ye, good evening."
Old Mrs. Ye glanced at her, only responding with a faint "Mm."
Bai Aiya felt uneasy, pulling her son Bai Zhou a bit forward, "Old Mrs. Ye, thank you for coming to Bai Zhou’s birthday party. Bai Zhou, be good and greet them."
Compared to Bai Aiya, who was only wary in her heart but maintained her composure, Bai Zhou had completely lost his nerve, as if he had become a different person.
His expression was timid, and his body language desperately wanted to hide behind his mother, but he was firmly pulled forward.
Bai Zhou timidly lowered his head, "Hello, Grandma Ye, hello, Grandpa Ye, hello, Uncle Ye."
Old Mrs and Mr Ye hadn’t responded yet when Ye Rongyuan exclaimed, "Oh!"
"This Bai Zhou’s teeth..." Ye Rongyuan leaned forward to get a better look at the little boy’s mouth. However, for some reason, the little boy was tightly pursing his lips, so he couldn’t see whether his teeth had come in or not.
He did seem to be mumbling a bit.
Old Mrs. Ye knew her son hadn’t lost his playful spirit and surely didn’t intend to say anything nice. She spoke up to stop him, "Rongyuan, go bring over the gift."
Ye Rongyuan turned to look at his mom, pointing at his own nose, "I’m bringing it?"
Not to mention what level this little brat was, this kid had bullied their Ann before! How could he personally bring a gift for the little brat?
Bringing a gift was enough to show them respect.
