Chapter 420: Big Uncle Has Returned

Qin Sui’an lifted her little face, seeing her dad cry for the first time. She quickly used her small hands to wipe away his tears, saying, "Daddy, don’t cry."

Qin Haochen held her tiny hand with one hand, while gently grasping his wife’s slender hand with the other, a smile spreading across his face. "Okay, I won’t cry."

After many years, the family of three was finally reunited, no longer a trio missing one member.

Qin Haochen instructed his assistant, He Yan, to bring some of his clothes to the hospital for their convenience in the coming days.

After washing up, Qin Sui’an lay in her little bed, her small body curled up as she happily looked at her mom in the hospital bed and her dad on the accompanying bed.

Even though they were all sleeping in the same room, Qin Sui’an couldn’t hide her joy, her sweet little voice whispering, "Daddy, Ann is super happy today!"

Qin Haochen, also lying on his side facing his wife and daughter, smiled gently, "Daddy is super happy today too."

On the hospital bed, Ye Zhaosi’s hand trembled slightly, as if responding to them, also super happy.

Qin Sui’an had a long and beautiful sleep. When she groggily woke up from her sweet dreams, her dad was already gone, having left early for work.

She crawled out of bed, her little bottom sticking up as she held her mom’s hand, saying, "Mommy, good morning! Ann is awake! Mommy, you should wake up too!"

Little one wanted to stay in bed a little longer, but her ears perked up. She tilted her head to listen at the door.

Hmm... did she just hear Big Uncle’s voice?

Qin Sui’an remembered that Big Uncle had a special status and wouldn’t appear easily. Did she mishear?

Thinking this, she got out of bed, her cute bunny slippers padding softly as she walked out of the room.

In the living room, Old Mrs and Mr Ye sat on the sofa, focused on the documents on the table.

Hearing footsteps, Old Mrs. Ye quickly put down the documents and went to the door.

Seeing her precious granddaughter awake, she bent down and hugged her, "Ann, good morning!"

"Good morning, Grandma!" Qin Sui’an nuzzled her little face against her neck and then looked at her grandpa on the sofa, "Good morning, Grandpa!"

"Good morning, Ann," Old Mr. Ye smiled. "You must be hungry; I’ll have someone bring breakfast."

Old Mrs. Ye sat back down on the sofa with her granddaughter, gently combing her messy hair.

Noticing the little one seemed hesitant to speak, Old Mrs. Ye softly asked, "Ann, what’s wrong?"

"Grandma, I think I heard Big Uncle’s voice." Qin Sui’an said uncertainly, her voice lacking confidence.

"Big Uncle’s voice?" Old Mrs. Ye looked a bit puzzled.

After a moment, she suddenly realized and turned to her husband in shock, "Xiaoyuan is back?"

Old Mr. Ye was startled too and immediately stood up. "I’ll go check."

He hurried to the door and opened it, but before he could ask Assistant Jie Hansi, he heard the elevator ding.

Old Mr. Ye paused, turning to stare intently at the elevator.

The next second, a tall figure stepped out of the elevator.

The person was dressed simply and understatedly, wearing a white baseball cap that obscured much of his face, revealing only a prominent nose and thin lips.

Even after a long absence, Old Mr. Ye recognized him, shock evident in his voice. "Xiaoyuan? Is that really you?"

The man halted, slowly raising his head and removing the cap, revealing his clear and handsome face.

Ye Xiaoyuan looked at his father, a smile playing on his lips. "Dad, I’m back."

In the room, Qin Sui’an was now sure she hadn’t misheard. She happily squeezed her grandma’s hand. "Grandma! That was Big Uncle’s voice! Ann heard it!" 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

Old Mrs. Ye froze for a moment, then quickly stood up with her granddaughter and rushed toward the room.

In the hallway, a familiar figure was walking toward them.

Old Mrs. Ye smiled gently, her lips curving up, "You finally decided to come back."

"Mom," Ye Xiaoyuan quickened his pace and came before them, "Sorry to have kept you waiting."

Old Mr. Ye chuckled, "As long as you’re back, that’s all that matters."

Old Mrs. Ye looked him up and down as if trying to see through him, checking for any injuries, and asked, "Is everything resolved?"

"Yeah, it’s over," Ye Xiaoyuan gently wrapped an arm around his mother’s shoulders as they walked into the room. He reached out and gently tapped little one’s nose. "Ann doesn’t recognize me anymore?"

Qin Sui’an shyly giggled and sweetly called out, "Big Uncle~"

Old Mrs. Ye glanced at her granddaughter and then back at her eldest son, finally realizing, "Xiaoyuan, you’ve seen Ann before?"

Ye Xiaoyuan hesitated, worried his mother might be upset, and carefully explained, "I needed to find Qin Fujia for something and happened to run into Ann."

That was the truth; he hadn’t intentionally sought her out.

Old Mrs. Ye shot him a playful glare. "You’re so independent; you don’t even need to tell us anything."

"Mom, I’m sorry." Ye Xiaoyuan acknowledged his fault and sincerely reflected, "There won’t be a next time."

"I only trust half of what you say," Old Mrs. Ye understood her son’s nature. He genuinely felt apologetic, but if work required it, he’d likely disappear again without warning.

Feeling guilty, Ye Xiaoyuan quickly changed the subject. "I’ll go see Zhaosi."

As soon as he finished speaking, he walked into the room.

Old Mrs. Ye sighed helplessly.

Well, as long as he returned safe and sound, everything else didn’t matter.

Ye Xiaoyuan entered the room and immediately noticed the cute little bed and the accompanying bed, which showed clear signs of having been slept in.

Generally, the accompanying bed was where his brothers would rest.

Before coming to the hospital, he had contacted his second and third brothers. Second brother Ye Liyuan was still filming and hadn’t returned last night, while third brother Ye Rongyuan had been at the hospital but slept in the living room, complaining about back pain.

Their parents usually rested in the lounge next door.

So who had been sleeping in the accompanying bed?

The answer was clear, but Ye Xiaoyuan hesitated to guess.
